3:48 The voice of Peter Thomas was everywhere in the 80s! 4:26 Jonathan Schwartz on the voice-over for Blue Bonnet. 6:16 George Coe on the v/o for Toyota. 6:56 Lester Rawlins for Midas.
Man, the television stations in Nashville during the 70's and 80's were crazy. First you had WNGE 8 and WDCN 2 (former PBS call letters) changed channel numbers. 2 became 8, and 8 became 2. Then in 1983, WNGE became WKRN when Knight Ridder Newspapers bought the station from GE. Then in 1983, WFYZ 39 came on the air. A few months later, WCAY 30 came on the air. Then in 1986, WFYZ went bankrupt and sold to CTN. In 1986, WCAY got the Fox affiliation when they went on the air. Then in 1989, the Fox affiliation switched from WCAY to WZTV 17. WCAY changed to WXMT and later became the UPN affiliate in the mid-90's

These 1981 commercials are just a reminder to me that the 70s didn't really end until 1982
This was 8 days after Ronald Reagan was inaugurated as President of the United States
