Thank you 100 times!! You saved the 2008 Mini from my oxygen acetlylene torch after many other frustrating attempts and shredded knuckles top remove the light. The magic bolt and nut were not obvious through the little opening. I bought the car used and am learning every day as I work on little things.

Just a hero for taking the time to post this lifesaver for amateur mechanics. This took me 3 hours, the owners manual says just unclip the lamp cluster, change your bulb and refit. Did the writer even try to do this!!! Impossible but 15 mins after seeing this vid the job was sorted. A complete nightmare and appalling design by bmw the aperture cutout does not even align with the lighting cluster nut making an alkward removal and replacement process. But thanks so much pal I owe you a bevvy.

I love your videos. We parked our 06 mini for a month in the shop. Opened it up the the stench of mouse crap. Using your videos to help me tear it down for search and kill the little bastards. Great help though. Thanks man

I wish I had known about that bottom clip to release the entire lamp when my Mrs first got the car... I found the bolt and 1st clip, but couldn't find that 2nd clip at the bottom to release the entire lamp when I changed first a bulb in her car. Lots of cuts on my arm later, I gave up for the evening and the Mrs got it changed at the MOT the next morning. But, I did find out that with the back shelf removed, the Mini Cab boot can actually fit a fully grown, 5'10 11.5st Male in it, albeit with a face print on the back window... so yea, that's something....
Thanks for the video as it really helped when I changed my brake/tail bulb in my 2007 mini convertible. Just curious the reverse light bulb in the lower tail light assembly looks different than the brake/tail bulb and I couldn't figure out how to remove the reverse bulb? I didn't want to break it pulling on it. Any idea how to remove the reverse light bulb?
I dropped that 10mm screw into next compartment when I finished fixing bulb and going to screw back on. What should I do now? There isn't any openings for that space unless if I remove the entire cover of edge of boot!
Darn Mini Cooper by BMW. They make everything so difficult to work in.😡🥵Why didn’t you make the removing the rear light covers simply with two screws, that wouldn’t make that much of a difference on the look!

It is a straight press mount type. Pull it straight out. No twist.
