      You’re going to see a huge improvement! Did you take out the stock fan?

      @@EdmondsWoodshop no, yet. Still waiting for the new fan. I guess is delay because the weather. I may make a video. I have an ORTUR laser too, is a 5w , I built an enclosure but had a cheap fan too. I will try to connect both to the 8" infinity fan. I ordered the reductions and the Y - 8"x6"X4" at homies depot . They arrive today.

    Great vid, brother! Making me upgrade to the 8” 🤔🤔🤔
    Im curious though, i seen that you have the Desktop 50w as well, why do you have that along with your 80w? What are the pros of having that desktop?
    I ask for your insight because I am considering the Desktop as well. I currently have a 100w but would like a mobile machine to bring to Craft shows.

      It started as a unit for my wife to learn on and have her own dedicated projects but it has since turned into a rotary laser

    My 8 inch AC Infinity is so strong on full power it actually sucks up some of the small scraps of wood from my cuts and shoots it out ! I have yet to see any kind of smoke lingering around my laser while it cuts.

      I love having the 8 inch, but you’re totally right. Gotta watch out for those small pieces

    do you have to then turn the exhaust fan on/off manually at this point then?

      I do for this fan. I don’t have a smart controller on my smaller 80w. On my OMTech pronto it has an onboard smart controller that powers the fan at the same time the laser starts and turns off 30 seconds after it’s complete.

    Hi, we just got our new 80w laser and I have a question. Is it crucial to take out the fan if I'm putting my infinity fan?

    • @EdmondsWoodshop
      @EdmondsWoodshop  2 месяца назад +1

      It’s not crucial, but since your stock fan produces around 99 cfm and your inline fan produces around 400 cfm (6 inch ) or 800 cfm (8 inch) then the stock fan will act as a choke point or bottle neck because the CFMs don’t match.
