Helicoptero Tutorial (Capoeira/Tricking/Parkour)

This is a how to do a helicoptero tutorial. I've taught Gymnastics, Parkour, Frerunning, Tumbling, and Tricking for the past 5 years at Greenville Gymnastics in South Carolina. I'm certified in teaching gymnastics as well as parkour. I finally decided to make a tutorial series to share some of the knowledge I've acquired.

I like the fact how you made levels for progression of this move, most will try to tackle the move straight up and the results don't come out the way they want some time, your tutorial is very helpful bro

the drills helped me alot. I could do this on rails which were waist height but never tried it on flat. With your tips i got it in 4days. By 4 days i mean, i could land in 4 days but to do it consistently i kept doing it for a week completely. Thanks alot

yeah, flexibility is the key here. For adult learners is pretty hard to get (one must first acquire a good thoracic bridge and so on)... 🙂 Great comprehesive tutorial!

free running could be anything it's your own personal take on movement

yes and no. Yes those are all categories of movements that are included in freerunning, but no because freerunning is not limited to just those three. Freerunning is much larger than those three forms of movement.

radleigh naidoo if you know how to sideflip and spot then you should understand the concept of side precision and you should just start getting comfortable with sidfliping on specific points or objects and you progress from there

I focus more on my back leg. I cart, then as my back leg lifts, I think to pull my front leg out of the way and kick the back one over.

Hey Bob, I recently realized that I learned to twist the wrong way. Its opposite my roundoff side. Any tips for learning them on the other side?

O Gun I think it would be much easier for you to learn round offs on your other side than it would be to learn twisting on your other side
