What can be said of a short film that impacts the heart with those beautiful virtues, solidarity, friendship, gifts that make us more human, when we can see beyond our needs and empathize with our neighbors, by loving others, doing something very wise. Thanks for uploading this movie.
Me conmovió. 👏👏
I just wanna say I really love this short movie, so much I've used it twice in my English classes. It's moving and really relatable. The cinematography is simple and effective, using mostly natural light and playing with the colors. The actors are also really god.
Oh and the soundtrack does a really great job at stablishing the mood! I think it's just too much used sometimes, too noticeable. Sometimes, less is better.
Just love this movie ❤❤❤ I am a Srilankan live in London UK, my family lives in Srilankan. I miss them so much specially during the covid19 pandemic very difficult to visit to them 😪
My first thought: If this guy can afford to give away his ticket, why didn't he just *buy another SF ticket* so they could sit together and talk on the way to SF? And for the record, family isn't always "most important or #1" if they're not *behaving as family.*
Exactly what I was thinking as soon as he said that line. In my experience and lifetime observations families are mostly destructive, merciless and not loving or supportive if you are different or want different things for your life.
Wow...such a simple yet endearing message. The world would be so much better if we all learned to communicate with one another, as opposed to seeing one another as different and in different categories, in different boxes. Gd bless you all!
An excellent video despite some comments from the peanut gallery. Well acted and good camera and sound work. As far as the so called accent problem mentioned by 1 one of the cheap seats, I don't think some people understand that sometimes you have to make certain concessions so that the greater number of viewers will get the point. Especially in short videos. Also good storyline too. If it were on IMDb I would give it a 6 1/2 or 7 out of 10. Nice job.
With deep respect to your absence. I think that trying to forgive, at least in your heart, makes you LESS unhappy and fuller. You love and will continue to love your family in spite of everything, do not embitter your life by hating and giving time to the time. "Family Constellations" is an excellent resource to understand us more deeply.
I cried a lot while watching it.. I miss My family very much but I can't stay in our place because my job is here instead of going home as much as I can instead I'm going to send money for them..
We get preached @ about everything: don't fat-shame, respect the environment, accept people who think they are a gender other than what they physically appear to be for who they think they are, give a woman 100% decision-making power to terminate pregnancies w/o input from her partner---I think we can handle *a* sermon on family.
This film has a GREAT message. However, the Spanish speaking actor's attempt to speak "broken English" is not very convincing. It's clear that he also speaks English, as there was no trace of a Spanish accent when delivering some of his lines like, "Family is the most important". Also those roses he was selling for $5 each were almost dead. The guy in the car purchased 1 rose and the business man purchased 4, so in less than an hour this kid made $25 tax free + a train ticket to SF. Yeah, he's definitely not going to sell that ticket lol
Maybe I misread your intent but your comment comes off as snarky and ending with a sarcastic innuendo that the kid will sell the train ticket instead of using it. I don't understand that reaction. Realistically that kid could be out there for hours without selling a single flower. The driver might have realized that and bought an almost dead flower because the kid is trying. The business man after getting over his self absorbed tantrum realized that he walked into the kid attempted to make up for it buying flowers then giving the kid his ticket. Whether the kid used the ticket to visit his family or cashed it in for a refund is his choice to make. I think his choice should be respected as much as whatever choice you or some wealthy person would make.
The "mexican boy" has got a native accent for an English-speaker, no matter how much he pretends to be unaware of English grammar. On the other hand, his Spanish is coined, for as much as his grammar is alright in this respect, he ignores true Spanish sounds and produces this language using an English phonology.
Sequel of the film - The flower guy sold the ticket to someone and had marijuana at that night. The nice guy who gave away his ticket, has spoiled his career and now he also has marijuana in another corner of the city.

Great job!

i've been living in the street for 5 years until now....it felt nothing worth in life without family and love.

....thanks for your adult commentary that both complimented the film and offered an explanation for the storyline.
Offers a very simplified ethic. Still, a very well-made film. Très sympathique.
This simple ethic is all that it takes to change societies.
