  • Sea snakes are very rare in Sydney Australia. This one hitched a ride on the great east coast current from the northern part of Australia. They can be very deadly if they manage bite soft tissue.
This Yellow Bellied Sea Snake was stranded on one of the local beaches in the northern suburbs of Sydney NSW Australia. it was not looking real good. I could not release it back into the ocean where it was because the waves were too large. Fortunatly I had a bucket with me as i was fishing with a regular client. I gently flipped it into the bucket and added some sea water. Immediatly it started swimming in the bucket. I then walked for about 800m to a much calmer section of the beah and released it. 😎👍
