Just thought I would let you know that if you want to post on youtube and not have a copyright issue, then please use only the "Gopro Originals" sound tracks. Thanks for going into what this app can do. I’ve never edited a video, only photos. So my learning curve is really wide. I just got my GoPro Hero9 a few days ago, and I’m just finding it hard to get started.
Editing video like with color correction and cropping is similar to photos. But the sequencing of clips is definitely quite different. I find it easier to learn video editing on a desktop computer software like Final Cut. On mobile, Power Director is a great app for straightforward video editing.
Usually I would use the Quik app for IG vids of a full vid. It’s really for short vids. Manualy selecting highlights is a must. It’s best to use music with beats to take advantage of the software transitioning on beats. You don’t even need a GoPro to use their separate Quik app(not GoPro Quik)
@@smileagainjamaicacharityfo3522 there are 2 separate apps. GoPro Quik has remote GoPro control via Bluetooth and also has Quik built in. The Quik app is just the video editing that anyone can use.
Please clarify if the music from the Quik App is royalty free so it won't get flagged when used in a RUclips video. My understanding is that the music is royalty free and should not get copyright strikes. If you do get flagged for copyright, you can always submit as appeal, which generally results in the charge being dropped.
Finally broke down and bought my first GoPro camera and became a plus subscriber for the discounts as well as the Quick app. New to making videos and assumed that the app would be the easiest way to start learning about the editing process.
There are a number of reasons, from your voice and its cadence to your usage of pointers (like arrows etc.) that really really help me to comprehend the usage of the tech. I try with other such tutorials/teachers and often they don't have the same effect, i.e., I'm not able to grok or retain the information. I think that's because I'm old, a technophob... whatever.. your presentations are super. Thanks so much.
I noticed when I had a video over 7 minutes long, I wanted to edit the video with a title, music, and so forth but it only gave me 1:30 fron the 7 minute long video? So is there a app I can use like the Quik app to edit and keep my 7 minute long video?
Drone will auto split the video every 4GB. I see there are lots of small video clips when to output the shooting footage, what should I do If I want a full-length video?

good evening, I have been trying to upload a 3 min video to youtube from the app and always says that it can not be downloaded. I did it in 4K but I also change the upload to 1080P and the result was the same. Do you have any recommendation for long videos with the app? Thank you
I mostly use my GP10 for scuba diving. When we dive I have to use a 3rd party app to correct the color so I download the GP footage to iPhone photos and correct the color once it’s downloaded to my phone. But when I try to upload the videos from my phone back to Quik in order to use the AI to create a highlight video I’m unable to do so.

It seems to start off well, but I'm getting long periods of a black screen with only music playing towards the end of my video. Is anyone else experiencing this? I did notice that when I try to trim the video, there are some red dots among the green dots at the bottom. I wonder if this has anything to do with it?
It did happened with my Note 10+. Now that I've switched to iPhone 13 PM, I haven't encountered the problem anymore. My take is that, it's because of the resolution in which the GPU and Processor of the phone couldn't handle.
I’m new to gopro and to the quick app. After editing a video that is over 2hrs, I can only max out the video for less than 2 minutes. Is there a way to make the video longer?
Is there a way to purchase the quick app flat out with no monthly or annual fees.? I don't do that much but when I do it's important. I don't need anything in the cloud. During the next few weeks will spend more time editing current footage and learning more about it. I also have DJI Fly App, which is also very intuitive, easy to use, can also use with either your smartphone or dji drone and did a new video with it today, so it'd be really interesting to compare the 2 editing apps.

I know that was a very random question but I’ve noticed on my 9 like when the camera is on, it’ll have small static and it’s really noticeable if I point it at a turned off tv or computer monitor or something. Good question. I did together talk about rendering quality. I think it is okay -- you can see the sample footage in the video. They were originally shot in 4K30 and rendered through the app.
Go to volume and select "mix" You will get both sound, camera & background music. You select "off" you get only music & if you select "boost" you get only camera 🔊sound

That's a good question. I don't think there is an easy way to export the music, but you could e port it via a video and then clip/cut the music. It's roundabout, but would work.

Even if you donot subscribe, you can use Quik app. Only few special effects like slow motion or special 🔊music cannot be used.

Yes, all of the Quik app editing is done on a mobile device, either a phone or tablet.

The app has changed whether you have the subscription or not. Live view unfortunately is still missing.

Any tablet or laptop will work. If you want to use the GoPro app to edit, you'll need a tablet. Personally, I prefer a laptop + Final Cut.

Is the GoPro9 supposed to have slight static lines on the rear LCD screen when the camera is on but not taking a pic/video?
If you're pointing it at LED lights, it might. But otherwise, no.
