Rewarded with Gold Nuggets after persisting while metal detecting

  • Metal detecting for gold in summer close to the desert is hard and hot work.
The temptation to give up early and call it a day is strong but that’s not how to find gold. Through persistence I manage to find quite a few nice looking gold nuggets, some are finally a little bigger than the average sized nugget I've been picking up lately. Digging a few pieces of rubbish is part of the game, of course.

Hay Kristin, I'm sorry to hear you have had troubles with the locals up there. Over the last 12 months I have heard of some horrific crimes being committed by the indigenous youths up there around Halls creek, Fitzroy crossing and Derby. My Daughter until recently worked up that way but after being threatened and assaulted by the youths she was there to help she has decided enough is enough and is moving back to the east coast. I think the government needs to pull it head out of the sand and bring some law and order back to these communities.

Krissy , keep your troopy as close to you as possible as the Troopies are hot up that way for going missing and know just how you would feel if you lost it. You have done very well to stay that far north for so long at this time of the year and hope you find some equal ground down south till you return.

The first nugget you found changed sound once you got it out. In the ground it went from high to low. Once out it went low to high. That machine did that on a few of your targets. I use a GPX and have never had it do that. I'm not a gold prospector though. I hunt American civil war relics. Cool finding gold.

    • @OutbackGoldFever
      @OutbackGoldFever  2 года назад +1

Hi Bobo, I'm pretty sure that's the normal response from the GPZ coils. They are Super-D coils and have certain sweet spots over which I wave the scoop with the target. Different sound compared to the GPX series detectors.

G'day Krissy, just finished watching & your videos keep getting better. It's nice to see you getting some nice nuggets amid the heat & the rough time you have been having. It is truly amazing country when seen from the drone, & it just further emphasises how incredibly tough it must have been for the miners back in the 1860s , when even with today's cars & modern technologies the conditions can shut it down in a matter of hours. Oh yeh I gotta agree with Heaseba about those bloody tinned "worms". I used to get it for brekkie, lunch & tea as a kid & now I can't even look at it !!! 🥫 🍝 🤮. Stay safe & keep swinging.

Hi Kristin. Hay one of the tricks if used many times to stay cool in the summer heat is to pull off my T shirt and get it wet, ring it out and put it on. A bit if a shock at first but in a refreshing way. Might be easier to just carry a spray bottle with you and get yourself wet that way. Might only last for 30 minutes before your dry again but very helpful in that awful heat. Spraying your face and hair really feels good as well. Maybe get a hat that doesn't mind being wet. Best of luck to ya!

A snow bird travels south towards the equator at the first sign of cold weather, so I'll travel between the gold rich country in the northern Rockies of Montana, Wyoming and Idaho, and then head to Arizona and New Mexico for the winter months. Wish you were here to keep me company! It's going to be a grand adventure!

Hi Kristin, I don’t know what’s wrong with the world, well I have an idea but it’s (my idea) not worth anything 😊 , anyway I am glad you’re safe and able to plan something better for yourself for the time being. You have really made a positive impact on so many people so there is no point me adding to all of the lovely things they say about you and your adventures, I do agree with them though. What I will say (this is coming from a person who has not done anything with gold yet) is that you give so much information, good information without making a big deal about, from watching you pack your kit to set out to general comments about when to return after rains etc, thank you 🙏, stay safe and keep smiling. PS I think I found the pick you use (faith is it’s name)

Thanks for the feedback, David 👍🏻 I'd be in a horrible mood without optimism, I choose positivity.

I found a outcrop of Zebra Rock about 50 ks south of Meekatharra in 1989.
    About 3ks from Highway.Kingys Lease.

Pretty sure that stuff is different, some of the banded iron outcrops look like zebra rock though.

Every sunday morning i get up and watch you work. Everytime i hear the signal i wish it is at least a 15gramer. It has not happened yet so now you know the future.

Be careful dolly! A woman alone is a target some places these days! Hope you can get to a cooler, safer place to swing your detector! Good luck! Great finds in this video!

Nine months late but, good to see you persisted with the shotgun pellets which then put you onto the nuggets. I have now watched enough of your vids to get a good idea of your capabilities. You are doing well, i havent came across many people detectorites as good as you, fair dinkum. I didnt hang around halls creek for long, the vibes wernt good, yes i am racist, the aboriginals are not my type of people. I made sure i camped at least 20 k from towns, that is far enough from the pubs and their hangouts. Just about watched most of your vids from last year or so, hope you are still at it and getting on to some good patches.... tip... when on a good patch,,, up your machines sensitivity, sound, high yield, normal,,, you are going to check every sound anyway, and with a maxed out machine you will find any deeper targets. I have done this many times and been pleasantly rewarded and surprised. Thanks again krissy, hang in there when you have a mini drought, thank you for letting me ride on your shoulders again ... kev

Another top video Crissy, zebra rock comes from a family owned mine just out of Kunanurra, I'm pretty sure that is the only location in the world it is found, safe travels 😀

I have found small zebra rocks all over the Pilbara and also in the Kimberley, that's why I figured there have to be more occurrences than just Kununurra. I'll keep looking

It sucks when you are stolen from! There is only a few things worse than a theft. How they find the person and string them up. I'm so happy you found gold so you can get some money.

Hell girl that royally sucks that you being ripped off and the car Parks aren't as safe as you thought they were hopefully they catch the people that did it and you get some retribution out of court from it but I'm glad to hear that you got some of your equipment back good luck on your gold hunting

I call that an excellent day. Got skunk metal detecting today but it's far cry better than freezing in Michigan.
