- My buddy Gio recently got another E92 335i N54 and this thing is no slouch! He converted the whole car to FBO with MHD E60 in less than two days! It's already a good amount quicker than my car and sounds like a freaking jet. Too much fun! Be sure to leave a like on this video and subscribe!

You should do a breakdown of all the gasket and maintenance parts that need to be replaced to create a more reliable n54 with price
Done the main Sump gaskets, front and rear crank seals, oil filter housing gasket, about to do valve cover gasket. Did the PCV Valve as well. Water pump too and Charge Pipe and vacumn lines. Spark plugs and coils and Walnut blast recommended. HPFP,
I was loosing boost and car going into limp mode due to it, my Wategates were in a really bad condition with rattle as well, had the turbos uprated with Incolnel Wastegates , been fine ever since.
Check the radiator and coolant pipes for any leaks as well.
I'd say those are main areas to check and replace as needed.
My 335i got 140k beat on it everyday only replaced oil pan gasket super clean no leaks
@@Saif0412 walnut blast is NEEDED every 80k miles. Also Injectors are going to need to be replaced probably around 100k unless you had them replaced with the recall.
140k with 510whp and all i did was 02 sensors gaskets coils plugs and water pump and 1 injector, oh a radiator

Hi, i have a 08 335i (N54) that I planned on modding soon does Gio have a list of parts used in the build?
I just been doing maintenance so far, other than going MHD stage 1. I also changed the charge pipe, and put an AEM intake on it. Once i've done the rest of my maint, i got an intercooler and downpipes. I got the car like 2 months/2200 miles ago, w/ 120k miles on it. $6k. Fair amount of maint. already done to it, and alot of records. 1 owner. Cars in great shape, just gonna try and keep it that way! I think i may shoot for FBO and chill there til turbo's go.
With an intercooler and down pipes you should be able to do MHD Stage 2+. That’s about 400hp, give or take. I’ve been driving that tune for 2 years. You’re in for some fun.
@@chriswallace9113 Nice man i'm really liking the car, gonna have to change the oil filter housing gaskest as its barely leaking out i noticed but not that big a deal. However i'm having a vibration issue, but my center consol rattles some in 1st/2nd so i'm thinkin i may have a center support bearing going out, or a seizing u joint. You done any suspension upgrades? I think i may go M3 control arms and get some megan racing coilovers, accompanied by what you mentioned and just drive it til it dies. It's a nice daily for sure!
I have an M240i Xdrive Dinan upgrades, it was quick before the Dinan parts/tune and it was a relatively inexpensive path to 400+ hp/torque.

Motors are 900-1300 on Craigslist with ofhg hpfp and a lot of other neat things. I’m going to get an extra engine for my single turbo conversion and upgraded twin (dynamic autowerx has some capable of 800 whp) for only 2500

It's a car that has to be rebuilt as you drive it. Parts are expensive and the car is hard to work on.
@@georgelin8498 Name one real high performance modern car that isn't expensive. A lamborghini, Ferrari, newer Porchas witch costs 200 times more and need servicing every 1,500 miles at 2500 a pop. If you even mention a Lexus , (a glorified Toyota mattress) LMAO! You can easily tune a 335 N54 to 600 :+ hp with bolt on stuff ! They outperform most newer cars hands down. For 10 grand used i love mine ! Worth every penny ! I have others, but this one stays in the barn also !

Im confident that car does not exist, either blown motor, or new one or neither, crashed and burn. But i do admire the kid for his quickness and most likely had the parts already from his previous cars as you mentioned he had. Would love to see a video of that same exact car tho kid....

A friend of mine, he got rid of it before his wife killed herself in it ,working on the rack and pinion. Redone all the suspension. Coming along ok.

I6 turbo BMWs are impressive, stock or modded. FYI, your M235 will make very similar peak whp/wtq with a E30 tune and a bigger HPFP. The biggest difference though being the N55 will have more power under the curve as it will make peak torque at 2500rpms and peak HP at ~5800rpms and sustain 90% of it to 6700rpms. The N54 with the stock turbos can't breath above 6000rpms. The N55 will have longer legs as the speed increases. In the 1/4 mile, it will be very close. After that, the N55 is walking the N54.

Inlets don't go well together with MHD OTS map, get a custom tune or you might even be down on power.

So definitely i am glad i have a 6MT E92. Because even with flash, the shifting in his transmission is not as quick as the manual transmission.

YO HOW DO I DO THIS TO MY N54 . I NEED LINKS PLEASE
For beginners:
1. Buy a sturdy aluminum charge pipe and blow off valve. (Stock one will blow off no pun intended)
2. Go to BurgerMotorsport.com and buy a tuner. ($479)
3. Buy some catless downpipes. ($250-$300)
4. Buy a 7inch Intercooler I bought one from VRSF works great. ($500)
5. Go get a splash of E85, roughly 30 percent for a stock fuel pump.
6. On your new tuner, set it to map 5.
Have fun! This is a basic setup and the most bang for your buck. If you want more power run an MHD back end flash and inlets and upgraded fuel pump etc.

Shark Racing bmw has a bunch of different options for controls. Just depends on package and options the original owner opted for.

@@bcg5175 I've have a N54 335i for 10 years now and use to frequent on the forums to read up alot on it. If you're looking for a 135is, and power potential is important to you then I wouldn't do it. Because I believe the 135is has a n55 engine while your 08 135i has a n54 engine. It has some suspension upgrades and aesthetics and cooling but nothing you can't do after market. There are 335is with a N54 though but aftermarket could also replace most of the differences. Main thing an 'is' may have DCT where as earlier n54 cars did not. And swapping transmissions could be a pain.
yes yes it depends where your power goals are. Over 600whp get a manual dct not made for 600whp reliably.

You might want to flash the trans. That said, I’ve been driving FBO for 2 years and haven’t done it yet. Not required but will make for a better experience with the added power and torque.

@@aaronpederson7910 Does MHD not read codes? I could have sworn the logger acted like a scan tool as well. If it doesn't, a scan tool will be the best $100 you've ever spent. Just because you don't have a CEL on, doesn't mean you don't have any codes.
@@stephenlevy6517 I have JB4 with bluetooth so I can see all my codes normally just on my cellphone but when I flash a backend map the check engine light goes away and stays away. I've never actually looked to see if the codes are still there... maybe I'll do that

Got a 2007 335i myself, for about a 14 months now, only electrical problem I had was 2 fuses went, cost a few pounds to fix.
I don't think electrical issues are the major problem for the N54.

I’ve had my 2007 bmw coupe rear wheel drive n54 for over 2 years now only issue is a freakin headlight bulb went out LOL😅😒 got at 83k kms has about 124k kms now has never left me stranded updates index 12 injectors one of my turbo seals are leaking but it’s 12 year old turbod engine love my 07 e92 coupe and it’s the 28th car I’ve owned n bought best car by far 😎👍🏼get one ☝️
