  • Small towns are awesome enough on their own, but after the recent city update, Allentown, PA is one of the best we've seen. All kinds of amazing history and sights await as we check it out in the DH82 Tiger Moth by Ant's Airplanes.

Great video over the Valley! Couple of fun facts; the strip mine looking area you flew over early on is the Chrin Landfill and it is active. Later on when you pass over the Bethlehem landfill and notice all of those warehouses, that used to be part of the steel mill. The plant stretched from over there to just before the Hill to Hill bridge. The casino is shown when you first comment about the bridge in Bethlehem before the blast furnaces. All of the new structures there are a part of the mall and hotel. It opened in 2009 and is now owned by Wind Creek and has a brand new hotel expansion that isn't shown in the map data. You also flew over the Hotel Bethlehem, built by Charles Schwab (who also had the hill to hill and lot of other in town buildings built) and is currently the #1 Historic Hotel in the US by USA Today for the third year in a row.
If you ever fly in the area again, I'd suggest checking out N43 Braden Air Park in Easton. Great place in-sim and IRL. Lots of nice flying as you go north along the Delaware or south west toward KRDG Reading Regional where the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum and only to-flight P61 restoration is.

Awesome! I love it! I'm glad you mentioned the mill stretching further north along the river. I was thinking what was left looked awfully small for what was once one of the biggest producers in the world. Thanks for the commentary. 🤓

I really like how you narrate the history of places and people. it must take an awful lot of research time to learn and Incorporate these really neat details it’s your flying videos. Great work keep it up!

Nice as always. I did visit the cities that was updated, and although I do read a little about the places you go so much more in depth so I learn even more. 😊 Maybe you can make a video from Washington DC?
A while ago I suggested the small volcanic island Jan Mayen, maybe as a lunch break flight. I don't know if you find it interesting at all and that's just fine. There's a lot to discover still. And I'm really excited about MSFS 2024. It seem that bush flying can take a whole new meaning with actual 3D trees and rocks that can break your plane.

Jan Mayden is awesome. The problem for that one is that there isn't much to talk about. Just not a lot going on out there, unfortunately. We will definitely be getting back out to DC, though. I'm entering a zone where it's tough to decide what we should go ahead and do now because it will probably look similar in 2024, or what I should delay for the potential for significant improvement.

@@MSFSFlightPlans Regarding Jan Mayen you're right. Not much going with the about 18 people out there. 😄There are some history about the island or else about the nature there. But in any case it would be a short video of course. But maybe these desolate places can be worth visiting after MSFS 2024 comes out if the ground textures are greatly improved. I really enjoy the sim and use it several times in the week. But also find myself wondering where and what to fly next more often. I sometimes find inspiration from movies and documentaries, visiting locations I hear about or see there. 🙂

@ToBCreations I keep a note pad in my living room. It's filled with places I saw on TV and want to check out!

I’d never seen the Allentown video before, and it’s pretty cringy. I’ve also never seen Billy Joel play guitar, but I’m not a big fan of his. Interesting flight as always.
