- Lone Survivor Walkthrough for the Directors Cut of Lone Survivor to get the White Ending on Expert difficulty without killing anybody.
The white Ending is achievable after the first normal playthrough, so you have to play through the game first. This Lone Survivor playthrough is also helpful to learn the basics of the game.

As of today (20th of August 2023) where there is still barely any content uploaded for this game, this guide is a complete godsent gift! To the point, no sidetracks at all, a stright up amazing full walkthrough for one of the most difficult endings of the game, and almost all misc trophies!!! Well done my friend!
I can confirm this guide works for the PS4 version as well.
This proves that you don't need better graphic for horror games as long as you have interesting plot and the ambiance

wow, no one mentioned the strong "silent hill" vibe here... even the item collecting sound reminds of silent hill. i'm pretty sure that is intentional.
The developers don't hide that they got their inspiration in Silent Hill.

white ending, how fantastic it is. i have never seen before. white ending is a legend in our country, even though many people said they did it.
i remember i first found this game on my dad’s computer when i was 8, he had just gotten into downloading games that looked fun from steam. i played it and was not only terrified but i was also hooked. i left it after a couple times trying to play it for a few years, then found it on the playstation store when i was around 10. i redownloaded it but then i had left it at the same spot for many more years. i’m 15 now. thank you so much for this amazing play through. i’ve always wanted to see this masterpiece in it entirety.

I love this game. Never finished it. Got as far as the basement. No kill run, I had to watch. This game has atmosphere like Silent Hill, maybe more. The music is so good. I need to go back and finish it. Awesome run!

i love this game allot, really enjoying it.edit fk im an idiot, i munched all mah beans and can't combine the ham. hopefully i can keep that ham early on

also i tried to get the red ending by killing all the monsters and not fast traveling with the mirrors XD i still got the blue ending... i am cursed
@@lordfury18 You can get the red ending by going to the basement floor, after that kill and eat the rats. It's simple, but it helped me with the red ending

Is it a time limited game like when you play slowly like i do and when you take too much time exploring you die of starving when you used all the food you can find ? Is it really a "time attack" because of limited food ?...
Not really, if you want to get the best ending, you have to care a little bit about your resources, but if you just want to enjoy the game, there are some infinite sources of food and water.
@@Katanalein oh there are infinite food resources?? It would be great because i'm in the first hour of the game and i would love to play it like i played silent hill, taking time to listen the sounds, music, to explore the apartments.. and only taking care of sleeping and surviving the battles. But i didn't find unlimited food i think for now. I'm in the apartment just after the great scene with the neighbors turning into zombies
You have an infinite amount of rotten meat in your refrigerator and can get new food in the grocery store every day.
So nothing really to worry about :)

@@Katanalein I found out something veeeery odd, i was trying not to use my gun in my playthrough, but i had to in room 205 where you pick up the can opener and delicious ham. But if you look on youtube some gamers have a monster in room 205 whereas some others DON'T. So it's very strange i missed something that can let you avoid using the gun..
But anyway thank you a lot for your tips, i was desperate when i thought it was time-limited whith food and resources 👍

I'm not sure if you can say one ending is bad or one is especially good...
In the Directors Cut there are 5 Endings:
Red -> lowest possible Mental Health
Blue -> average Mental Health
Green -> high Mental Health
White -> highest possible Mental Health
Yellow -> "Secret" Ending only achievable after getting the white ending at least once
I am not able to give cat plush. Says he is not ready, maybe when he feels better? What am i doing wrong?
The Cat Plush can be given(or at least shown) to some people throughout the game:
CHIE - Only available after getting a "white" ending at least once. Allows player to unlock "Yellow ending".
Kenny - Kenny is present at CHIE's party. Attempting to give him the cat plush will result in him giving "You" a bottle of "Mexican Cola", a drink that allows increasing player's mental health.
Bonezio - Although he doesn't want it, he'll gladly give "You" some salat, saying that one piece can come in handy.
The Director - He will refuse to take it unless you visit him at least thrice. He'll give "You" a pan.
The Man who wears a box - If "You" takes the green pill and wakes up in a green dream, he has an option to give a man the cat plush. He'll ask us what kind of meat does "You" want.
Hank - Attempting to give Hank the Cat Plush will cheer him up. Hank will refuse to take it because he knows you're more attached to it and give you a Burger Bun as gratitude. (This only works if you have given him all five Health Tonics and if you are on New Game+.)

I really can't find the purple key to open the window in my beedroom, i remember that i found it in the 203 room but already used somewhere and now i don't know what to do, help please!
The key you will find in apartment 203 (shown in the video at 16:04 ) is the 206 bedroom key. With this key you can open the bedroom in your apartment (not the room where you sleep).
To get to the street you need the fire escape key. You will receive it after the chase in the basement (shown at 59:00 ).

@@Dark-xd9sx am not talking about the game of lone surivvor, am talking about indie games as a whole. like 70% of them are just assest flips that pay for 500$ for and perfact by making 5k$ from the internet for making it dirt cheap as people buy it without thinking about it or never playing it.
Lone survivor is a game worth every penny to it, but sadly sometime it get bury by all the useless shit on top of it and it take time for people to find gems under all that dirt to dig up a gem worth having and playing.

The Lone Survivor is actually just a guy who lost his girlfriend in a bus accident. He was so upset at having to live his life without her he fantasizes a world where he's the only person left due to an outbreak. You need to do things that keep your mental health high. Shooting monsters decreases it because that's giving in to the delusion. Drugs also decrease it but can be helpful at times. Playing games, eating good food, and overall being decent helps draw him back to reality, to the hospital were he's been comatos this entire time.

Years later and still no good video out here explaining the story. Dialogue the whole time made no sense from weather it was all in this doods mind or everything that happened was real.

No I was high when I was playing it. And you fucking have to be because this guy was just like AAWWW DAVID LYNCH SILENT HILL I LOVE THOSE THINGS SO MUCH.
But the truth is... the atmosphere is just not enough to hold up the "survival horror" elements.
Can you actually explain to me every single ending in this game? Plus why the protagonist's choices make any sort of difference or how there is any meaningful context that drives the admittedly high buildup to the ending?
And I know we're talking surreal horror here. But the bottom line is that this game is all just gobbledegook that plays on emotions.
