Hello, I need your opinion please, I want to buy the Musician Knight 1 speakers, in terms of detail recovery, clarity and transparency, are they worth it? That's what I'm looking for on the speaker, I hope you can answer me, greetings.
Hey Sandu! I’m here early this time haha, love your reviews and attitude towards personal hifi. I have an AK SR35 that im using with the FatFreq Grand Maestro. Would be cool to see your take on Astell&Kern products and FatFreq products. Best regards!
@@shamnoor07 tidal only allows downloads with their own official tidal app. since the dap doesnt use android but a proprietary os, shanling built their own tidal app and arent allowed by tidal to build in an offline feature
Bro can you compare it to shanling h7.I really like h7 especially its natural sound and huge stage capability.I think you forgot to mention the soundstage of xm5.I am confused between dx180 and xm5,i care about sq only.
This Dap is a monster, it knocks the socks off my Fiio M11 Pro and also my iBasso DX 170. I also have the DX 180 which knocks the socks off the DX 170, just saying!
OOhhh someones covering this brand great review ! If you can could you also get some impressions of the mystic xp1 from the same brand as well ? i see reviews youtube but none are in english :']
Good afternoon. And if you compare onix with astell kern kann ultra? There was an astell kann ultra, now I'm thinking about the onix overture xm5, I'm also considering the hiby r8 ii
depends. if the iem uses multiple ba drivers and a crossover the consequences of the high impedance issue might be higher, than on a single ba iem. it is dependend of the impedance curve of the iem
As Nusu said, it really depends on the impedance curve. You can have BA designs that don't care at all and DD based IEMs that will have some impact. It's always best to check with manufacturer if they have any comment on the output impedance of the source. Or you can check some discussions on XM5 for example on Head-Fi, there people tested it with a range of IEMs and so far it seems all fine.
Kinda weird design, but I'll take it if you are a fan of old school Ideas. The rest of their products are so much cooler. It's great they are differentiating from FIIO or Shanling tipical architectures.
Exactly, the TPA6120 is also quite a powerhouse, hence getting almost 1.1 Watts via the 4.4mm output. It looks small in the hand, but it doesn't sound like that
I just bought a Shanling DAP and I am quite pleased with the product! 🎉❤🎉
They make some of the best DAPs for the buck
@@Soundnews, thanks for the review, Sando! 👌
Thank you, as a DAP collector, I was waiting for this review.
oh TIL Onix made a DAP
I tried their dongle early this week, really impressed with it. It is as good as the ibasso DC Elite, at a quarter of price
5:55 as a newbie, i didn't know about the rule of eighth. Thank you for sharing
A great review ! I was interested in this one and you answered all my concerns . Well done !
Thanks for the excellent review Sandu!
Now I am curious about how their Mystic XP1 compares to the XD 05 pro.

NOTE that Tidal DOWNLOAD does NOT work on this device. This is a very important feature for some Tidal users.
Really? I'm TIDAL user..if not supported ofc I'm not buying

@@shamnoor07 Yes, Shanling rep confirmed this on head-fi thread.

In your opinion, what daps do you put in the same tier as?
@Pleiades55 do you think the xm5 is much better than the dx180?
Sweet. I'm gonna have to get one. Thanks for the review.
Hi bro! Shanlink m7 or the hero of the review. Which player is better? Which one reproduces metal better? Good luck bro!
Thank you very much! Sando!
Thanks for watching, mate! 🤜🤛

Nice one! But You did not tell us anything about battery, how long it last.Hope it has a hold/lock button with the controls at the top.😅
7k mah
I'm super interested in their Mystic XP1, especially how well it stacks up against iBasso D16 and XD05Pro.
I see you have fiio fa19, what do you think about it's pairing with the onix?

Hi. Do the wood slats panels in your front wall make a difference, to how your room sound. thanks
Its a good thing they kept the volume wheel on the same side. Does it have a lock slider?
14:55 can i ask what you mean when you say the midrange is "juicy"?
Did you have the opportunity to compare it to its desktop sibling the Shanling EH3 ?
does the output impedance issue not affect all-BA or non DD IEMs? why is that?

Is more dynamic and faster than the hiby r6 pro 2?
vs r6ii pro how does this stack up ?
can this be connected to a dongle?
They have dongle I'm interested in.
Already ordered it.
Looks interesting on the inside and it's quite powerful for its size. Seems like a more powerful unit compared to Shanling's UA5
@@Soundnews have you seen reviews on the dongle and do you think the dongle is overhyped?
@@D1N02samere here
When you press the next track it looks like it takes a second to follow the command, is it laggy?
That was Tidal interface, there it can take a second to load next file, depending on your network. For local playback, it jumps instantly.
Awesome! Are you going to do a review of Ibasso's newer DX180? I've recently got an Onix Alfa dongle DAC ;)
It has a ES9039PRO DAC chip so top range Sabre chip

@@Soundnews hence the large battery. More than most phones.
Can you store EQ presets on it?
XM5 has a simpler EQ system that offers custom profiles.
does this support MQA?
yes it supports mqa upto 16x unfold
That output impedance is a deal breaker for me. Shame..
higher impedance output actually work great with some brighter sounding IEM's
Too expensive.
