  • Dont solely trust the ohms test when testing an IPR valve. Thankfully I had a known good one to show side by side comparison.

Sometimes I gotta bust out the hair dryer when ohming out electronic parts.

Have you tried physically moving the pintle and spraying in those larger holes with brake clean? It sparks which means the coil is getting current but nothing happens maybe because it’s stuck partially open

Yes, at the time I did clean thoroughly with brake clean and a straw, the pintle would not move. It failed at an intersection... But thank you, I appreciate it..

@@sapsaz7102 this is the first I’ve heard of one actually failing since most just replace them, thank you this helps shape my diagnostic process for future failures

What is the is the hissing sound? Did you have air hooked to it somehow?

Yes, I was using a rubber tip blow gun with air compressor. Even the ohms were good, it mechanically failed. So just to prove the failure I was using shop air with a rubber tip blow gun (nothing fancy)... I hope this helps 😊

What if I get 0.0 ohm? What is the issue

Shorted coil/resister or wire, and a popped fuse.
