You opened my eyes to micro fishing and I can not thank you enough. It's a blast, I'm more and more surprised at the amount and sizes of fish that hit smaller lures and bait.
I was recently fishing in Florida and caught a hard head catfish then while I tried to de hook itI dropped it on my foot and one of side spikes got stuck in my foot. never been in more pain
I'm a 125 miles south of Tampa & I only fish for saltwater cat fish.I've caught them up to 15 lbs and they are good eating. I'm glad you know about the poisonous spines.
I live right down the street from where you are. I don’t even waste my time fishing there for years. Mainly catfish, puffers and jack. Sheepshead around some pilings if you scrap the barnacles and use shrimp. Be fast because they’re fast at sucking the bait off your hook. In the past walking down Bayshore seawall used to catch Snook or an occasional trout on live shrimp.
Good job, I live here in Tampa. Not many people fish downtown Hillsborough river, very good snook fishing down there, especially in the early summer before they spawn.
Plenty of public spots/ access to the river. Just most are small/ lesser known parks... amazes me how many people even in Tampa dont know the hillsborough river has a dam either lol. Good fishin' above and below it (of course only going to catch saltwater species below it)
You should try grabbing catfish from underneath, with your palm on their belly. That way you dont have to worry about the dorsal spike sticking your wrist. I use that grip for bullhead and smaller channel cats. 🙂
Why aren't you in Atlantic City area catching Blues, Stripers, or whatever? When are you going to make a Scaup video at the Jersey shore? Keep it local. Are the carp biting in Phili? How about cats? They biting in Phili.
Leo you're the President Of the U.U.F. !!!💯👍💪 Uniting Urban Fishermen whooooooo!!!! I have NUMEROUS friends who had never fished until I showed them videos of you fishing locations that they called, " Unconventional " or "City water with no fish " ! Lmao Now they got it bad!💯😂😂😂😂 Tight lines and God bless
i feel like you can get pin fish and catfish anywhere - good ole reliable. you can fish in florida and catch nothing else on any given day, but you can always catch hardhead catfish and pin fish if you seek them out. the hardheads have a good fight, but Ive caught 100 of them and every single one has been the same size as the last
Hey Leo, I'd really like to see you catch some catfish. It's been awhile since you've had a catfishing video. Anyway, great as always sir!! You can't e-slay them every time out!! You know this all too well with the amount of fishing you do!!!
Yer right Leo , if ya get " Fined " by a Hardhead Catfish you'll remember it ! They HURT ! Twenty-two years here in Florida and been fined only two times ! Take care fer sure . They do put up a good fight ,tho no one much likes ta catch em . There should be more places too fish in downtown Tampa . Oh well , still ya did OK . See ya next time . Tom Daytona beach, FL. 10, May 2021 .
Man those southern kingcroakers look like the Corbina I catch down here in socal. I believe Corbina are also called kingcroaker as well but I'm not sure. But I do know corbina are in the croaker family tho
Hey Leo how would u fish the Petitcodiac in New Brunswick. Tide goes up and down over 35 feet twice a day lol I cant hold anything down in that current. When i cast lures they fly to the bank downstream with in 30 seconds. Low tide I've got clay slops I have to cast over that's about 60' of space. So how would u try to fish this river.
You mean why break "ONE OYSTER BED?" To show folks on the YT platform what dry oyster beds look like, and how dangerous they can be to your feet. Those were all empty oyster shells that get exposed to air twice a day (low tides). You make it sound like I go in the water purposely destroying the marine habitat. Lol. Don't worry...conservationists know how important they are, and we leave them alone.
I'll eat all cats out if the Gulf of Mexico... not really a taste difference to me. In this video I think this is the first time I have ever seen you actually drop a rod like that...
I caught a 2 foot snook by that bridge, the middle of the river has pretty much only catfish, but the other structures have reds and snook
You opened my eyes to micro fishing and I can not thank you enough. It's a blast, I'm more and more surprised at the amount and sizes of fish that hit smaller lures and bait.
I am glad to hear that you have been positively influenced by the Channel, Patrick! Keep on grinding out there.
@@extremephillyfishing Yes for sure very positive, and thank you. Tight lines bro!
I was just there the other day!! I was able to catch a ton of fish.
Dude, I’m from Tampa and I’m pretty sure I have fished that that exact spot. I live in Germany now after the Army, so you can have it!

Fishing is life
120% agreed, Rosario.
Oh believe me you will catch a ton of catfish here
theres a walgrens there with a canal near it. Fish that with crabs, big sheepheads there.
That water is nice and clear for an urban river running through downtown
I was recently fishing in Florida and caught a hard head catfish then while I tried to de hook itI dropped it on my foot and one of side spikes got stuck in my foot. never been in more pain

Epf is going to have to change to Extreme Florida Fishing, soon with all these fl videos.
It’s funny that you mentioned the urban fishing spots, today I slayed some walleye at the Detroit river in Michigan.

Those oyster beds are where you can find the best sheepshead bait : mud crabs!
I was in the garage, heard a "ding" came in and BOOM here you are!
This channel is the only channel that I get this hyped for a new video!
Good job, I live here in Tampa. Not many people fish downtown Hillsborough river, very good snook fishing down there, especially in the early summer before they spawn.
You and one rod I really enjoy watching y’all fish. Keep up the great work.
That rod drop around 9:50 hurt me 😂
Orange County CA has some good fishing spots my man can’t wait for you to get out here
I appreciate the suggestion, Chris. Thanks for sharing.

Sweet! Going over to Riviera Beach, FL for a deep sea charter tomorrow! I'm excited. Different kind of fishing than I'm used to up in Alaska.
Gotta add the conch to the life list
You should try grabbing catfish from underneath, with your palm on their belly. That way you dont have to worry about the dorsal spike sticking your wrist. I use that grip for bullhead and smaller channel cats. 🙂

You should have gone to the beach. Way better fishing. I'm going this weekend 🤪
leo, how do you take your rods on plane?
When you say "CT", do you mean Connecticut? If so, the shad run is starting and the bass are getting ready to spawn.
Why break the oyster beds? They're such important habitat for marine life and juvenile gamefish.
