Tonka Winnebago - Nitro Powered RC Build!

  • In this video, I convert a 1970's Tonka Winnebago to RC with a Nitro gas powered engine. I do a bit of custom metal work to make a new floor and add suspension. I also modify an action figure with servos to have the head move with steering and his arm to lift as if he's drinking beer from a mini bud light can. I also installed a server to make the steering wheel move and full lights on the Tonka motor home. I used mostly knock off Tamiya tractor truck parts for the conversion. I also built a scale cabin and 1/10 scale vintage travel trailer to pull behind the Winnebago.

    I think I've learned more about...I don't wanna call it "basic".....but rather "small scale" metal working than anything.
    Good thing too, because I didn't know much about it. Now I want to get the tools to practice it myself.
    Thanks man.

    I thought I was tracking with you with all the tools till I hit the plasma table part. Lol. That’s above my pay grade. Nicely done!! Wow, what an amazing shop. You are more than just a fabricator, you are a true craftsman. This my first time to your channel, I think. I’ll be subscribing. Thanks for posting this video. Very inspiring.

      Nope. I think I got it on ebay for around $70 shipped. If you watch long enough, you can find a cheap one.

    how much did you cut out of you front axle

    • @57moto59
      @57moto59  Год назад

      I think I measured the distance between the leaf spring mounts. Then bolted the mounts on my servo and measured the distance between those. That gave me how much I needed to cut out of the axle... If I remember correctly.
