Rosario’s description of the visual symbolism of Ahsoka and Obi-Wan only being able to partly break through Vader while his son was able to fully break through and remove the mask was great
It's refreshing how in touch Rosario and Hayden are with what Star Wars truly is. This is the product of Dave's directing style, like they said he tells the story and paints the picture. He immerses them
I really love Rosario. It's a pleasure to hear her talk about Star Wars and the respect she have for the expectations of fans. She was an amazing live action Ahsoka. There's stuff I didn't like in that show but it was not her and Hayden, for sure. Their scenes were a blast to watch. You made a 46 years old man (me) very happy.
Star Wars is for kids, are you sure? Sure seems to me you want adults to buy movie tickets, merch, and toys. Kids aren’t buying tickets to conventions and collectibles. The majority of people who consume Star Wars are adult men. Wake up or you’re going to lose your audience.
Filoni had that kind and humble face love seeing him in a 4 hours podcast to talk all things star wars someday and bring that dude voice Maul too, dude's a giant SW fans
Crazy how different the discussion is here compared to everything associated with The Acolyte. Rosario, Hayden and Dave are clearly very respectful of George and everything he built. Great chat.
Hearing Dave say basically “I’m treating this movie like every other project I’ve done” is thrilling and terrifying at the exact same time. He’s got this.
I really enjoy the respect and chemistry between all of them. I cannot tell you how happy I am to see Hayden finally get the accolades he is getting now. I ❤ Star Wars ever since I was 5 when Star Wars first came out.
I looooove Rosario and Hayden and Dave so much. The level of respect for the Canon is mind blowing and how Rosario and Hayden both watched the clone wars and know so much about their character and genuinely care about star wars. A thousand times different than shows like the acolyte and interviews with them
@@BirdParsons actually everyone has the right to point out both what they like and what they don't especially when it comes to breaking a franchise like Disney is doing
I LOVE THESE INTERVIEWS!!! feel like now the strikes are over we are getting all this good content and I love these guys together!!!!! this was amazing!!!
As a kid, I loved being scared, there were elements to Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings that were still family friendly but still ventured into darker territory, just because Star Wars is for kids....doesn't mean it can't venture into darker or even scarier territory.
Filoni knows and understands everything beneath, i loved his answers to critical questions and he gave nothing short of the perfect answer to it all As long as Filoni is running the show, whatever Star Wars is being produced will be in good hands Disney ought to learn from this (but we all know they wont)
It would be so epic to get a live-action flashback of Twilight of the Apprentice where Ahsoka breaks through Vaders mask and calls him Anakin. This is still my favorite SW Rebels episode of all time.
The insights this interview shows are not new, but hearing the stars explaining them gives greater depth and understanding. These guys know what they are talking about !!
My favorite star wars line now as an adult is Yoda responding to Luke who says "I'm looking for a great warrior" and Yoda funny Dagobah cackles and says "War not make one great" ...and now in Ahsoka she asks Anakin "Is that all I will teach my padawan one day, how to fight?"
Loved this interview! The most impactful Star Wars scene for me is near the end of Revenge of the Sith - “you were my brother, Anakin, I loved you.” So heartbreaking and such a beautiful summary of the turmoil of the entire prequel series (and what would later become the Clone Wars too).
I love that my Vader - said it since the Goat Episode 3 btw, is finally getting acknowledged and his love from the SW fans. Took yall long enough, we Sith, didn't need the extra, but it was great they put it out for the rest of the galaxy.
I’m glad that these guys are still getting a press junket even though Ahsoka was a year ago. Must be because of the strike. I love hearing them talk Star Wars. Also, it’s a bright spot for Star Wars contrasting with all the negativity being thrown at the Acolyte.
its so great to see when the actors actually care and know about star wars. This is what I want to see, I want them to care and love and understand star wars as much as the fans do
Fantastic watch. I was 10 years old when A new hope came to cinemas, I know what its like to not have any star Wars content for 17 years from ROTJ to Episode 1 and so i appreciate any star wars content. THANK YOU
I'm patiently waiting for a huge Gallery entry of the making of Ahsoka. For now, this fulfilled my craving. Well done Josh. Glad you asked Dave that last question. That answer is good for me. MTFBWY.
Rosario is definitely perfect casting. She understands the role, does her research, and most importantly doesnt disrespect the fans or george lucas. If only the cast and showrunner of the acolyte are as good as rosario.
Star Wars got me to study Dzogchen and Mahamudra meditation, It got me to study Kung fu and Qigong. I looked into learning Pranic Healing and Reiki energy healing. Star Wars got me to study Vajrayana Buddhism and Taoism. I got to love the warrior philosophies. The teachings of the Shaolin monks and Shaolin martial arts became part of my life. Thank you, Star Wars and George Lucas!
What wonderful, thoughtful questions were posed in this interview!! They enabled in-depth responses ... and the end-result just made my Father's Day! Bravo ... truly.
1:40 I honestly think only Sam Witwer has stumped or knew something about Star Wars that Dave missed. Oh who is Sam Witwer you ask? Let's just say that Ahsoka wasn't Anakin's only apprentice.
Ahsoka might be my favorite live action SW show im so hyped for season 2 the first season is great loved it when is Ahsoka coming to DVD blu-ray in need it
Thank u so much for this interview, my beloved persons in the galaxy of SW are here and it’s so lovely hear them universe bless Hayden, Rosario and Dave 🐐❤️
Dave Filoni we bow down to you thank you for continuing where George Lucas left off bringing us amazing stories from animation to live action you will hold as much of a place in my heart as much of this universe has!
Great interview ! Again, gives me hope for the future!! 🎉 Would have loved to hear how involved he was in the acolyte… he said he „tries“ to guide them. Something tells me they didn’t listen … 😂
I love that Dave made a point of emphasising that hes going into writing knowing where he wants his show to end. Feels like a lowkey snipe at the mess of the sequel trilogy lool
A couple of my “goosebumps” moments was where obiwan has to confront anakin on mustafar, before the sabers fly. It was the last chance a Jedi was able to try and reason with him before his final step to the dark side. Another, when the heroes are gathered around the table on tatooine in ep.1. It was cozy. Everyone was desperately poor and had to figure out how to make thier way forward with nothing to work with. Like a family- you never see the togetherness like that hardly in any Star Wars movies or any movies anymore. Reminds me of being kid.
I wish people that say "this isn't star wars!" "its bad writing!" etc would watch this interview (and others like it) I feel like it would open their eyes to what George is actually like lol
Here I am. The shows haven't been good save Andor. They have been mediocre AT BEST and some have been downright bad. It's as simple as that. We all know that Dave loves Star Wars, but as he has gained more control I've lost faith in his ability to produce a good product. It's still "Star Wars" but it's just flat out bad IMO.
@@BigJimDenver and thats a fine take to have. However, I've seen people say "this ISN'T star wars" *because* they don't like it.. (or even in some cases they say things like 'woke' as if thats an actual problem etc) and those are the ppl im talking about

Yes it was spot on.
Yes she’s so well spoken and has a real passion for the source material which is rare in Disney Star Wars
@@Zangyaks yeah I’m glad they casted her
10:20 Just paused the video to applaud that ☺ and comment. You beat me to it
She was also great in Daredevil
My complaint with Rosario is she isn't athletic enough. You need a gymnast for Ahsoka
Yes Dave.. hearing hayden say snips still has me crying all these months later 🥺😭🥰

Ahsoka was pretty solid imo.
I love that Dave Filoni still calls George Lucas for advice about Star Wars.
Too bad he didn’t ask him about acolyte…🤷🏻♂️

KENOBI !!!!!
They seriously need Sam in order to save Star Wars
Sam Witwer, he’s the Henry Cavill of Star Wars considering they’re both heavily invested in the accuracy of their projects.

I LOVE THESE THREE! What a great next generation of Star Wars fans. They keep the flame of Star Wars going! Amazing!!!

When Rosario said this is for kids, my mind flashed back to vader, buring on the sands of Mustafar screaming i hate you.
