I was 7 years old when I saw the movie Star Wars: A New Hope in 1977. I've been a Star Wars fan ever since then. I got to see The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi when those movies were originally released in theaters in the 1980's. I was lucky to first see them that way.

I have a theory that Clone Wars is what revived Star Wars and is ultimately what lead Disney to purchase the franchise. After RotS, the franchise faded out aside from some books and battlefront 2 shortly afterwards. Clone Wars also made the Prequels way more appealing to a lot of fans who wrote them off.

Dave Filoni is a co writer & co storyteller, and a director supervisor but he is a Creative Collaborator, not a sole creator of Star Wars tv shows or content in general.
