Maybe a nice hack if already on the go with your audio files. If I had the chance I'd run a replay gain tool on them from a computer and simply turn replay gain on on the device.
@@valerykatznelson1146 I have the old sansa clip and bought this clip jam to replace it but the volume isnt anywhere near the old one in a direct comparison using the same settings...Old one is much louder and clearer.
What happens if you press the center button of the clip jam on Now playing. Will it appear the Audio Spectrum analyzer that the clip has? Which it is fun to watch.
Brilliant solution and good advice on the best ear pods. Thank you much. The volume issue was a problem for listening to readings and you solved it for me.
I used to have an old Sandisk Jam for 10 years but it packed up so replaced it with this new version. Never had a problem with my old mp3 volume wise and this new one is fine as long as I use my samsung phone earphones that I used one my old mp3. The earbuds that are supplied with these are hopeless. A good set will make this plenty loud without altering the volume sttings but by all means go for it.
I just learned 'loudness' or boost to treble and bass are needed for sound clarity at low volumes. Wondering if this device can adjust to give good sound at low volume with portable speakers (not headphones).
HelP me if you can.......There is a red and black wire inside from the battery to the board. There isn't any blue wire like I've seen inside previous mp3 players. ???Which wire is for the radio if any???
Thanks. I had previously a 'Volume' option. I had it on 'High' then you could select 'Normal'... I took normal but when I was gonna take back to 'High' it did not work and the Volume tab DISAPPEARED.... Your solution - I think actually helped at least somewhat.
this unit has great reviews but has terrible play volume.I bought it for running,n even doing this hack whitch i already figured out the play volume is so low once you start running you can barely hear the music. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
If you bought it in Europe, it's got a factory setting to limit max volume to 85db. A factory reset can fix that, leaving this as another option. Follow the instructions on here for the Clip jam:- support.picstop.co.uk/article/7-why-is-the-volume-on-my-sandisk-sansa-mp3-player-so-low
I wouldn't recommend doing that with good headphones. You could easily destroy your ears. It's already capable of damaging your ears without doing that unless you got a defective unit or quiet headphones. I have one, so I can know for sure.
Other
Settings-System Settings-Replay Gain-Pre Gain + 9.0 dB
THIS IS THE GUY RIGHT HERE.
ACTUALLY I PUMPED IT UP 12 DB SND NOW THE SOUND JUST LIKE THE OLD VERSION TNKS ALOT!!

When you turn it off during a song and you turn it on later, it starts the same song from the beginning or it resumes where it stopped?
Yes, it does for me.

It works!!! Thank you!!!
Will this work on other Sandisk Clip models?

Mine adds a reverb sound to the song

This does not help much at all.
Which country are you from? When you set it up did you click on Europe or the rest of the world?
