@@WowSuchGaming totally, I did enjoyed watching your survivor and special infected profiles! When I started my channel and got a PC I started making Left 4 Dead 2 and Dead By Daylight content. But L4D2 is really special to me because it's one of my childhood games. So yeah.
I think I remember seeing something like this. I think it was mostly a smaller project though but ended up maybe getting picked up as they had 3 parts,
The director of this fan-film, showed FAR more heart and respect for the source material than Paul W.S. Anderson did for Resident Evil, especially the later movies, and Paul had millions of dollars! The fan-film director did a VERY good job in my opinion!
I wouldn't have known that the survivors were going to Historia, a small fishing town, where Francis' brother lives, and has a boat without his expert dialogue.
16:40 I think that would've worked if the characters were switched, being Zoey the one demotivated considering that she lost everything and everyone while Louis is trying to cheer her up.
This is how I would done the smoker scene: Keep it the same until after Zoey says her line about having an angel watching over her. Instead of her being grabbed, make what she said more true and have the smoker grab Louis. Zoey and Bill would riddle it with holes causing smoke to come pouring out in a noxious cloud that Louis begins to cough and choke on. Then, Francis steps in from out of frame and blows the smoker’s head off, killing it and helping Louis up to show how their relationship has developed some in their time together (which you can see in the game). As a reference/throwaway joke to end the scene, Louis could say something like “I wonder how many cigarettes worth of smoke I breathed in back there.” To which Francis would be like “Don’t you have bigger shit to worry about? Besides, I don’t see you bugging Bill to stop.” Then, later Louis could pop the boomer before it pukes on Francis, paying back the favor and evening out the special infected score.
you know, keeping the mistakes aside, this movie was very cool in the references and certain details and the mercy hospital reference, however, i gotta reduce some points for not making louis a optimist survivor : /

I don't get the casting choice for Bill. it was just wrong . Bill in the movie is overweight, out of shape, has a goatee and long hippie hair. Bill in the game is very fit and lean , has a full beard and short hair . the bill in the movie also has the wrong emblem on his beret
At least for the Radio they had Bill do it. I mean since Bill was in the army he would have experience (At least some) with how to manage a radio like that
I think the darkness is actually spot-on. When I play Left 4 Dead (2, admittedly, but it is the Steam version with all the maps from the first as well), any map that takes place at night or in dark spaces, I cannot see for nothin'! Changing the brightness of the monitor doesn't help, and because I play while at work, I have to play in windowed mode, which, for whatever reason, doesn't allow me to change brightness in-game. So I, personally, find that detail to be absolutely accurate.

In the lore, the bile of a boomer is itself what attracts the horde (see bile bombs), its more gameplay mechanics that it has to be on a survivor. Though if it lands on survivors that definitely would direct the horde.
The whole idea of the early bites being slower to infect makes sense. If those are the early infection the virus might have not fully adapted to infecting humans. But then gets deadlier and more effective the more jumps it makes. Of course... plot armor is still a thing.
Plot twist: maybe the reason why the smoker didnt go after Louis is because maybe Zoey was only in range of the smoker and Louis is an inch away from the red circle detection the smoker and the spitter had
i mean the 'hitting the gun range' bit here in his flashback, Louis does have a voice line about his coworkers thinking he was crazy for hitting the gun range during lunch breaks in game

Funny you bring up Zoey's knowledge of baseball, as literally the first thing Francis says to her in the comic is "Zoey, you might not watch a lot of baseball"
i feel like if L4D were to become in sort of screen medium like Film or anything like that it would be a miniseries with each season being a campaign in what ever order they go in in the story with the Sacrifice being a 4 part series finale with L4D2 being a sequel series with the same type of format with the Parish being a 5 part finale (not including Cold Stream since i dont consider it to be canon)

This movie is pretty awesome considering the low budget and being fan made. I'd love an actual good big budget L4D movie
