I don't know why, but I've got this weird philosophy on the Id songs. Since the Id leitmotif is essentially Robin's theme, I like to think that each song represents an emotion or part of his/her personality coming back from amnesia, like another piece of his "Id". Since each Id song has the name of a feeling, (ie. Sorrow, Serenity, Purpose) I believe the song that plays defines how Robin identifies at that moment.
Not to mention Id is the psychological term for your brains basic wants and needs (food, water, shelter, sex, etc.) which makes it all the more impactful that robin thinks of those things as necessary/base level wants and emotions.

Timeturner very well spoken lad! Fire Emblem Awakening is my second favorite game of all time (I main Chrom and Lucina in smash). If you want a really good backstory, look into Cherche and Lon’qu. It’s one of the best in the game
Right?! It's awesome! It's the only FE game I have, and I still haven't won it. I love how fun the characters are, and how they interact with each other. :) And where I'm at---the story is great!
I've spent like 500 hours of my life on this game, and I even came back not so long ago to start a new game with the opposite gender. It's just so much fun !! My favourite track is Divine Decree btw. So epic.
Omg I also love this game, it was my first fe game, but I didn't have the same experience when I played fates, and echoes( Although I really like echoes) Fates kind of disappointed me. I love awakening too much.
I got into Fire Emblem this year. I've played 4 FE games now, and I STILL come back to this video to relive the Awakening soundtrack. Hearing Conquest and Don't Speak Her Name coming out of those 3DS speakers for the first time shocked me so much. Such a beautiful soundtrack. Makes me nostalgic for finishing a video game a few months ago like it was decades since I've seen old friends. Thank you for uploading this!
I already miss this game an insane amount. It's on my top 5 games of all TIME list, the story, characters, gameplay, music, graphics, artwork... EVERYTHING is perfect! I need to go back and replay it soon, but for now, I'll just look back and remember all my reactions to the game's twists.
Awakening definitely won a place in my heart as well! It's a really fun game, and I love the characters. and agreed---the art is just beautiful. :'D Hope you have fun replaying it! I still haven't won it the first time around. I have way too many video games I need to sit down and finish.
Awakening may not have the best story-telling or gameplay, but i simply adore all the characters. With unlimited supports, the memes and inside jokes that come with becoming mainstream, and the open-ended lore and what people do with it, it's one of the games I am the most attached to.
Right? I agree completely. The characters won my heart over. All of their personalities are so different from each other, so their interactions are always entertaining. Awakening is my first FE game, I found the series through Super Smash Bros. I would like to play some of the older games! Anyways---Thank you very much for commenting! :D ((oh & I really like your profile pic! Ike is the best.))
Thanks! And, if you're still choosing, if you want to play the older games, the one I would recommend if FE 7. Among the fandom, it's decided as one of the best 3 in the franchise, the others being Path of Radiance (My game) and Genealogy of the Holy War (FE 4 which was Japan only). However, what separates FE 7 is that, as far as I know, it's the easiest to emulate. So, If you haven't played it already, try it out. However, I must warn you that all the games older than awakening (except the Japan only Marth one) have limited supports per character.
@@glaba24 in what world is fe7 regarded as the best in the fandom lol ppl shit on that game all the time; awakening is literally praised on all aspects more than fe7
Whenever I listen to "Don't Speak Her Name!" I have to picture a flower standing in the rain, and the raindrops on its petals sparkle in the sunlight breaking through the cloudy sky.
Hey dude, you introduced me to Fire Emblem series. I would never really got interested in that game if not your playlist, lol. Now I am a hardcore fan. Amazing how simple things make giant changes to life. I should thank you.
Wow, that's so cool!! Thanks for sharing that with me. I'm happy you were able to discover the series, they're a lot of fun! 😄 Do you have a favorite character?
@@imaginebaggins7444 Yes, I adore all dragon units, especially Nah, she's a very brave girl. I've currently started playing Fates and I kinda like Takumi, but... If you like riddles, the last sentence of my first comment contains a hint to which character in Fates I'm married to. And we're a happy family :3 can you guess the name of the character?
yo, it's me again but from a different account. I betrayed Leo for a purple haired rat prince :| it's been one year since then. Lets forget that I was married before, heart does not choose...
An enormous portion of my enjoyment of this game stemmed from this soundtrack and the artwork. It's like Intelligent Systems went "Alright people, this is the final curtain on the series... lets blow their socks clean off"... Thanks for uploading this.
Awakening is probably one of my favorite games of all time, awesome soundtrack, awesome characters, awesome gameplay, pretty much awesome everything. 10/10
@@BoydTheMilkmanX worst opinion of any fe lover. cant get over the fact that some people are that ignorant to a good design philosophy but hey maybe youll grow up too someday
Henry is my ride or die favorite. If I replay again as a girl, I'm marrying him. I even named the crow I've been feeding after him, you know.... just be-CAWS.
I find myself coming back to this game and it’s music at tough times in my life. We’re in the midst of a global pandemic and terrible atrocities happening worldwide. Just listening to the soundtrack, and taking a moment truly helps my mood, and takes me back to a simpler time.
I'm listening to this while studying I can't tell if I'm crying tears of happiness, sadness, frustration or all 3. Oh well, the Awakening soundtrack is A+ 👌😤
Just wanted to comment since I've been using this compilation (and a few others) as my study music over the last 5 years of my degree, and I just graduated a few months ago! So thanks for the tunes and the help focusing :^)
Good Lord, my nostalgia for this game is absolutely insane...Like I'm aware it's a flawed game in terms of story and gameplay but I still loved it. The music is just a masterpiece. I remember going through my GCSE exams (UK) and I kept thinking about buying Awakening after playing Sacred Stones. Best summer game and played over 250 hours. I'm glad Fire Emblem has become a major franchise and we getting amazing entires such as Echoes and Three Houses.
I've recently discovered your channel and I wanted to thank you for making these kind of videos. I literally spend hours in the school library doing homework and these playlists are precisely what I was looking for. Thank you again! P.D.: I've never played any FE games, but just bought Awakening and I have to say it is great so far. :)
You made my day with this comment! :D Thank you so much. It means a lot to me to know that people are actually listening to these, and liking them! I haven't finished FE Awakening yet (I don't even think I'm close), but I must agree! It is great. :) Good luck with your studies!
can't believe it has been ten years since my first adventure of fire emblem in modern consoles, having only played the two gba games before, and multiple hackrooms, this was a blast from begining to end, and the more i remember it, the more i love Awakening, I really want to play it again
This music is almost like a journey - sort of similar to the opening (intro) for FE: Awakening. But this one is delicate and fragile. Beautiful, and filled with sweet passion, hopes and serenity. Well done. PS. My favourite FE: Awakening characters are Owain, Lucina and Chrom.
I love the music from this game so much. It reminds me of going on long car rides to my brother's hockey games because I would always play Awakening on the way up. What fond memories!
I really love Combat's composition - It really suits the mood for the player's mind to engage in strategical movements of your units, not unlike Robin himself. Especially around 14:20 when there is a little extra instrument added to the melody, it really achieves the effect of an "Aha!" moment or realization of what the player's potential mindset and what they can do to turn the tables in their favor. Brilliant!
The chokehold this game has on me will send me back to this playlist, time and time again. I get swept up by the worldbuilding and just how alive the characters are until I move on but the game always ropes me back somehow. It means so much to me and I'm grateful you created this collection of music that encompasses my world :) Don't be surprised when you find out I've listened to this video one too many times that is healthy
Aww, that makes me happy! Thank you for listening, & awesome character choices! :D Poor Leo! D: I'm still trying to summon the tomato boy lol. Just a week or so left...
Oh, Awakening...I bought you after trying the demo, not completely sure of what I was getting into. You drew me in with the story and the wonderful characters. I spent more than 200 hours between reading supports, fighting, and trying to get every unit. You kept me company during one of the worst summers I had, and for the following summers as well. Even now, almost 6 years after I played you for the first time, hearing your music takes me to a different, special and wonderful place...
no problem, thank you so much for listening! :) The music in Awakening definitely all has the same feel to it. Most of the songs are burned into my mind because they're played repetitively throughout the game (I mean that in a good way, of course)
I love that you did one for fire emblem! Awakening music is definitely very good for relaxing. Though I would recommend putting together a playlist from either the Fe GBA games, or from Zelda: the Minish Cap on GBA, as they tried so hard with the limited soundcard they had, and did a great job with it.
That's a super good idea! :) I unfortunately have never played any of the FE GBA games, but I have heard some of the music before. If I can't find enough to fill an hour, I could always make a compilation playlist that includes some tracks. :) Thank you for the idea!
I don't know if it's just nostalgia, but I think awakening has this special vibe to it. The characters, the setting, the music, the art style - to me it's just wonderful and fits very well
Oh, I remember how the characters were shown. It was a tough task to match them together but it was such a pleasure to analyse them as real men. And the story plot is (I think) THE best I've ever seen in a videogame. Thank you so much for the nostalgia. I can't wait to see a port of Awakening on the other consoles in the future. (I hope it'll come true)
Not gonna lie. was expecting more Epic music to kick things off so didn't have high hopes. But Dayum!!! That Bongo gave me the chills. Conquest is amazing. Thank you for putting this and many other playlists together. Absolute Legend
Thanks a lot for posting this compilation!! I love Fire Emblem and this is the greatest thing when I'm studying or writing. I can see the effort you put in every music video you make, and this is fantastic!! Keep up with such a good work like you do! (I saw the way you answer the comments and I was like "OW HE/SHE IS SO KIND!! WHAT AN AWESOME PERSON, I'M GONNA SUBSCRIBE" but then I saw that I'm ALREADY your subscriber, ahahaha! I'm the girl from the Professor Layton compilation video - the one that asked for a summary of the series!) Good to stumble upon you again, ahahaha! Good to see you're still making wonderful videos!
Aww, this comment made my day!! :) You're so kind, I'm really glad you like these playlists. I definitely remember you from the Layton video! Thank you for subscribing!! Enjoy your day.
My 3DS is missing in my house somewhere (haven't played an FE game in a long while), so it is nice being able to listen to this soundtrack right here, while making animations or something.
I love this compilation so much! FE Awakening is one of my favorite games of all time. The characters, the conversation between them, the story, the battles, the art, it's so great. One of the best games I've ever played. ❤
After all these years... this is STILL my favorite game. Not just in the Fire Emblem series, but out of all video games. If I want great characters, story, gameplay, music, etc... This is home for me.
My favourite characters are Lucina, Chrom, Inigo, Robin, Gaius, Cordelia, Tiki, and Owain. Thank you for this video!! Fire Emblem Awakening is also my first Fire Emblem Game. Great game!!! I can see why Fire Emblem is popular now.
Awakening has always been my favorite Fire emblem, but I just couldn't pint point out why, until today. I guess FE:A pretty much caught lighting in a bottle, as it was made in circumstances that may never happen again: The franchise saw low sales, interest was low, and a lot of people didn't even knew what Fire emblem was outside Smash Brothers. So as we know, this made IntSys just make a game to go out in a bang, and put every feature FE had at one point. More than another title in the franchise, this was the last one and they felt it. For one, the story in Awakening pretty much concludes the saga that Marth started in and finally finished the Shadow dragon once and for all (with the twist of you being the pivot of this choice in more ways than one). The music has a grandiose feel to it, and funny enough, some tracks feel like ripped out straight of a SNES RPG (Even though FE dates to the FAMICOM, I guess the SNES is as close as they could get away with it music wise), clearly marking it's roots to days of old. I remember Awakening being mentioned by Iwata in a direct, but only as far as a mention, not a focus or anything. Just a short announcement of the existence of it with some key features, such as marriages (which I'll admit, is what got me interested on it lol. I just wondered how would it work and if it had any substance to it or was just plastered on top). I recall playing the demo and thinking "yeah, seems good enough." Then the game came out, I remember getting it at best buy thinking it would be just another game to my 3DS collection and boy how wrong I was. This was the one game I played for the next 4 years when I first began college, and my classmates also were really into it. The street pass feature made it even more engaging, as you could interact with other without the need of actual contact. As someone else mentioned here, the characters felt like actual people. Sure, at surface they seem like any other archetype of every story ever told, but once you start reading their stories and backgrounds, you knew they had more purpose than just filling a role in a game. My first marriage option was Nowi, (now before jumping to ANY conclusions), she always shows a happy front, a peppy gal and yet, she's always facing the sadness of losing the people she knows due her natural long life as a Manakete, even wondering if it's worth the trouble of meeting people at all. That's what got me, and her voice actress also does a fantastic job of capturing the essence of the character. My second option was the Exalt Emmeryn, after seeing her solo ending just hurt me deeply. Clearly FE is not willing to sugar coat things, so it felt like a responsible option (that and I like blondies). After getting all the supports from every character on my first playthrough, I thought it would be sensible option to finish the game once and for all. Seeing how every single character reacts to both Robin's enclosure in darkness and (on my case) disappearance after the last battle just filled me with a sense accomplishment. Then the credits roll in, something about hearing the main theme (s) of the game mixed with the main theme of the franchise as a whole is just a sentiment that I have only seen Fire emblem do and leaving a sense of "The war is finally over..." And then you see the first scene replaying again, thinking the game just straight away jumps into New Game+, but something feels different, and then Chrom just says that final line, letting you know, it is finally over. To which then you know what exactly happen to Robin and the potential spouse. That is to say, Awakening is an experience that may never be replicated again. And while I have enjoyed the games after this one (Fates and 3 Houses) I never feel as attached to the characters and world as I did with Awakening. Those games feel like "the next entry" of the franchise, that, while enjoyable on their own rights, don't achieve within me the same thing that Awakening did. While Fire emblem may just seen as the franchise that invades the Smash brother roster (to which I'd argue people over react), or one that relies on fan service (I'll blame fates for that), Fire emblem is a unique franchise within Nintendo that certainly does thing that other really don't come close to. I think you can tell how much care is put into a game by seeing how the music was handled, and the one in Awakening is unlike any other, the emotions of the scenes are reflected in the tracks. Sorry for writing an essay in a comment, but if there's something that you can take from this, is that Fire emblem (Awakening) is a game that means a lot for some people, I know it does for me.
ID: Sorrow has such a special place in my heart, specifically. I always pair a female Robin with Chrom, and having Lucina confront Robin as her MOTHER truly is a heart-wrenching moment. Doesn't matter that it isn't fully animated or cutscened, the agony is still so clear. "My life is yours. It always has been." ID: Sorrow is what really makes it.
Thank you very much for his playlist. After all of these years it is still my favorite game. All of the shepherds feel like they actually could be real people.
Rgc1745 no problem, I'm happy you enjoyed it! :) The developers did a good job giving everyone a distinct personality, which is quite a feat considering there's so many characters!
Holy... This is bringing back so many sweet memories from a few years ago when I first picked up the game. Agh, it's so bittersweet. Thank you for this compilation!
i love this game since i was like 9 and i finally got to play it now, at the age of 16. the grip it still has on me after all these years is incredible. and knowing my adventure won't ever end because there are so many different pairings and possible playthroughs to the game to come back and try
c'est une des playlist qui m'a fait le plus pleurée car c'est vrm magnifique les mélodies , les aminations et pour moi je trouve quelle est parfaite pour désiner ou quand je lis merci bcp d'avoir créée cette playlist
I have recently discovered lofi, and this is great music; I get to listen to FE while working! Awakening wasn't my first game, but it's one of my favorites. It was such a tear-jerker for me (still hekking crying at "Don't Speak Her Name!"), and I really love the characters. My favorites are, in no particular order, Chrom, Lon'qu, Yen'fay, Priam, and Owain. Although I really like Inigo too.
It feels like it's the last Fire Emblem, as it was supposed to be. You can feel the nostalgia, and spoilers : As in the end, Robin has the choice to kill the dragon, or to make it sleep, I see here the question, do we let this end finally, or do we continue to kill dragons becoming crazy to save the world ?
Thanks for making this video! The music and characters in Awakening are awesome! Its my favorite FE game and one of my favorite games in general. I like Conquest, You have a Power Like Mine, Don't Speak her Name, and Serenity the best. I like all of the characters but I like Lon'Qu, Owain, Gaius, Morgan, Tiki, Anna, Henry... (and everyone o-o I got really attached to the characters...)
I absolutely adore Fire Emblem : Awakening. It's how I discovered FE. I might be biased because it was my first but it's my absolute favourite. It's so distinct and I just, really really love all of the characthers. Chrom and Robin will always be a team but they also have distinct personalities which make them feel even more real I just love Awakening, so so so much.
Sincerely, when I opened this video and Conquest started to play, my nostalgia exploded, I love this thing!!! I only wished Id (Purpose) but I think isn't the most relazing song in the game, anyways, I love this, also Lucina and Owain are also my favorite characters :D

Awakening definitely won a place in my heart as well! It's a really fun game, and I love the characters. and agreed---the art is just beautiful. :'D Hope you have fun replaying it! I still haven't won it the first time around. I have way too many video games I need to sit down and finish.
Yeah, you have fun, too.
Awakening introduced me to Fire Emblem, after then, it became my favorite series of all time, I'm glad I found this game :)
me: pls let conquest be on this
-hears the opening drum beat-
me: YASS
hahaha x'D Conquest is my favorite song from Fire Emblem.
@@imaginebaggins7444 Mine is azura's but this is my second favourite
@@imaginebaggins7444 same, I mean all Fire Emblem.
It's a remix of a FE7 music :O I just realized while listening
@@SethJV which song?
The story and gameplay were great! What do you mean?
The best history is this game is the fire Emblem awaking save the franchise
@@glaba24 in what world is fe7 regarded as the best in the fandom lol ppl shit on that game all the time; awakening is literally praised on all aspects more than fe7
Perfect music to draw to.
Micah Buzan SOOO true!!! 😁
Hell yeah
for real
And we're a happy family :3 can you guess the name of the character?
thats so cool dang!!

yo, it's me again but from a different account.
Yeah
It's one of the worst Fire Emblems too lol
Truth it's great fav game of all time it's perfect except for the animation graphics but it's pretty old so you can't blame it

AAAAAAH the map theme of awakening is without a doubt the best of the whole franchise, it's so soothing, I forgot about it! thanks for this video!
Alberto Barbera Campos Not only that. I feel a thin line of "uncertainty" in some areas which really fit given the situation.
i really like the name of the song "Oh its not so bad, lissa. just a healthy little stroll"
"Don't Speak Her Name" literally makes me cry but I like it for some reason
Henry is my ride or die favorite. If I replay again as a girl, I'm marrying him. I even named the crow I've been feeding after him, you know.... just be-CAWS.
Now that’s dedication.
For me it's Donnel, also Henry x Cherche is really good, also Gerome with white hair.... It's beautiful.
Henry is mine *hissss*

@@roicedragonne It's 2020, we don't act like this, sis.
Nice job! I'm a few years behind you and I agree, it's top tier study music
I also use this for studying music! I have a really long playlist 😅
Excuse me while I go weep from the nostalgia.
I first played this in summer of 2018 and yet the nostalgia.
Holy shit it’s 7 years old now

I've recently discovered your channel and I wanted to thank you for making these kind of videos. I literally spend hours in the school library doing homework and these playlists are precisely what I was looking for. Thank you again!
P.D.: I've never played any FE games, but just bought Awakening and I have to say it is great so far. :)
You made my day with this comment! :D Thank you so much. It means a lot to me to know that people are actually listening to these, and liking them!
I haven't finished FE Awakening yet (I don't even think I'm close), but I must agree! It is great. :) Good luck with your studies!
How'd you like the game?
can't believe it has been ten years since my first adventure of fire emblem in modern consoles, having only played the two gba games before, and multiple hackrooms, this was a blast from begining to end, and the more i remember it, the more i love Awakening, I really want to play it again
This music is almost like a journey - sort of similar to the opening (intro) for FE: Awakening. But this one is delicate and fragile. Beautiful, and filled with sweet passion, hopes and serenity. Well done.
PS. My favourite FE: Awakening characters are Owain, Lucina and Chrom.
so glad you enjoyed it! :D thank you for listening! Your favorite characters are honestly my top 3 favorites as well!
my favorites are Henry and Inigo, who are always father and son in every playthrough. Nowi is good too.
Brilliant!
i cant tell you how many times ive listened to this video lol, thank you for helping me through so many essays
Broo same, I'm literally in almost 11th grade snow and I've been listening to this since I was in 6th
Chrom and Lucina are my heart choice characters
The chokehold this game has on me will send me back to this playlist, time and time again. I get swept up by the worldbuilding and just how alive the characters are until I move on but the game always ropes me back somehow. It means so much to me and I'm grateful you created this collection of music that encompasses my world :)
Don't be surprised when you find out I've listened to this video one too many times that is healthy
I can listen to this all day and never get tired of it. Thank you so much for this video!
My favorite characters are Lucina, Lon'qu, Yarne, and Inigo.
Aww, that makes me happy! Thank you for listening, & awesome character choices! :D
Poor Leo!
19:56 Oh wooow this picture is so adorable!! 😍❤
Thanks for the mix! This game has more songs of this style than I remembered
no problem, thank you so much for listening!
My favorite is Miriel, hands down. I'm a staunch believer in amelioration.
Agreed! Miriel is an awesome character. I hope they add her to the Fire Emblem Heroes app.
I don't know if it's just nostalgia, but I think awakening has this special vibe to it. The characters, the setting, the music, the art style - to me it's just wonderful and fits very well

And the story plot is (I think) THE best I've ever seen in a videogame.
Thank you so much for the nostalgia. I can't wait to see a port of Awakening on the other consoles in the future. (I hope it'll come true)
Damn i gotta replay this game. Powered through it while in military training, it was my best friend T_T
I have been listening to this mix a lot in the past few days while doing my report. This was exactly the kind of mix I needed right now, thanks!

I listen to the soundtrack for this game super often. It brings me so much joy
It is one of my favourites, too
Awakening and Breath of the Wild really feel like they share the same type of feel to them. A very familiar and cozy soundtrack.
Oh my god, the second conquest started playing I just got chills, and I just started thinking back to when I played this game years ago...
Thank you for putting this together.
no problem! :D Thanks for listening to it.
My 3DS is missing in my house somewhere (haven't played an FE game in a long while), so it is nice being able to listen to this soundtrack right here, while making animations or something.
I love how relaxing this is. Thank you for making this video!
I just beat this game for the first time a few days ago. I'm glad I got to experience this game before the eShop closes down next year
I love this compilation so much!
Got the same feeling with FE: Fates ;)
I will be honest, Gaius and Lon'qu were my favorite characters of all. They were just so cool and unique, and Lon'qu was so awkward it was adorable. 💕
Thank you so much for making this.
I found out about this game last year and now I can’t stop playing/listening to its soundtracks ❤️ surely one of the best games I’ve ever played ☺️👍🏻
I recall playing the demo and thinking "yeah, seems good enough."
Then the game came out, I remember getting it at best buy thinking it would be just another game to my 3DS collection and boy how wrong I was.
It always has been."
ID: Sorrow is what really makes it.
This is wonderful to listen to, my favorites are Lon'Qu, Owain, Gaius, and Chrom.
