Thanks to all the people who commented on the last 2 videos, I've used a lot of the Irish slang words and Irish phrases you suggested!
Hopefully this video will help you if you ever travel to Ireland and want to use some typical Irish Slang and Phrases :)

Oh, one that got me when I was hiking over there was Ride. In the States if we were going to a party and a friend asked me if I needed a lift, and I replied "Nah, she's gonna give me a ride." it would be normal... I said that in Ireland and got some shocked looks. lol

Informative information
One very neat thing I’ve observed about Slang Words & Phrases is that every Language has their fair share of words that have no immediate translations into other Languages…But, in addition to that, I’ve learned from my friends (who are 100% deaf and can’t Hear, Speak, or Lipread and who ASL: American Sign Language to communicate) that there are also some Slang Words & Phrases that exist within Sign Languages that have no immediate translation into Spoken English…My friends tell me that although they’re unable to actually hear local Accents & Dialects or know what anybody’s Voices sound like (reason being because they’re 100% deaf), they sometimes notice various Slang Words & Phrases pop up in the Closed-Captioning (English Subtitles) that they’re either unfamiliar with or that they realize are a Slang Word or Expression of somewhere outside of the US…For Example: If the Closed-Captions read “Straight Away” (instead of “Right Away”) or they see the word, “Flat” (instead of “Apartment”) or they see the phrase, “Car Park” (instead of “Parking Lot”), than my deaf friends would presume the likely presence of a British/UK Accent (even though they’re 100% deaf and can’t actually hear the Accent)…Additionally, if my friends suspect a possible Accent, they’d likely meanwhile also be checking the “About” Tab of the RUclips Channel to see if the Channel is listed as being from the United Kingdom…Obviously, my friends’ 100% deafness prevents them from ever noticing anybody’s Accents, meaning that my friends would have absolutely no way of knowing a person has an Accent (at least by sound, that is), unless they were formally informed of the person’s Accent by either the person him/herself or by one of their “Hearing” friends or, again, if they perhaps notice certain unfamiliar Slang Words & Phrases pop up in the Closed-Captioning (English Subtitles)…Unfortunately, I don’t know any Sign Language, so communication between my friends & myself often involves a lot of back-and-forth Texting & E-Mailing of one another…Anyone who is 100% deaf but who also has the ability to speak (“Oral Deaf” people) would likely be 100% entirely dependent on those explicit on-screen pronunciation instructions (which you’ve typically been providing in these Irish Slang Words & Phrases Videos of yours’), because if someone is unable to hear words being pronounced so, “Written Instruction” on pronunciations are certainly necessary…While my friends are deaf, I’m meanwhile on the Autism Spectrum…They used to call what I have “Asperger’s Syndrome,” but they later just started calling it “Autism Spectrum Disorders” (or “ASD,” for short)…

If you don’t mind, I’m gonna offer you some Feedback (in form of a Suggestion/Recommendation) to consider to help you make your Videos as good as they can be…Being the only “Hearing” person in my group of deaf friends (meaning that my friends are deaf and I’m the only person who can watch any Video in English without any Captions/Subtitles and still know what’s being said) heightens my awareness of the importance of “Deaf Accessibility” in Videos (such as including Captions), but lots of Videos on Instagram & TikTok have no Captions at all, and the Auto-Captioning/Subtitling features of those platforms are Optional/Non-Default, so my friends are often unable to enjoy a lot of Video Content I can enjoy…With the intention of being helpful to you, I will mention that Instagram has a new “Sticker” (called “Captions”) that you may (or may not) be familiar with that Automatically Generates Captions for “Stories” & “Reels”; however, Instagram’s new Auto-Captioning “Sticker” (called “Captions”) is a Non-Default feature, meaning that the Uploader must manually select it before completing the Upload of the “Story” or “Reel” they wish to add Auto-Generated Captions to…There are 3 Text Effects to choose from, but you might like the Typewritter-Style Text (where a flashing cursor appears to the right of the text as it’s generating)…The Default Color Scheme is White Text on Transparent Background, Black being the other possible Text Color to choose from…TikTok also offers Auto-Generated Captions too but, again, they must be selected before the completion of the Upload…The “Captions” Sticker for Instagram “Stories” & “Reels” provides Auto-Generated Captions, meaning that you wouldn’t need to write them, for Instagram would “Calculate” them instead, slightly-delaying the Upload process (but not by much); although, I believe they can be Edited, so you could Correct any Errors and/or Add in Proper Punctuation…

My Question About You: Have you ever been friends with anyone on the [Autism] Spectrum and have you observed that people on the [Autism] Spectrum are apt to struggle with Social Skills, unless formally-trained? This Question hits close to home for me, because I’m Autistic and have often struggled with my Social Skills (like struggling with Manners & Etiquette and how to be Polite)…I have a “Heart Of Gold” and my “Heart’s In The Right Place,” yet I’m (unintentionally) not always the politest person out there…

My Friends’ Question About You: Those of my friends who weren’t born deaf (but are now 100% deaf) have some memories of having heard the Irish Accent from time-to-time, back when they used to wear very High-Powered Hearing-Aids in both ears (before having gone completely deaf) and they’re curious whether or not you may have an Irish Accent and, if so, whether it’s a Thick Accent or it’s somewhat less-noticeable and are also wondering whether, by any chance, any Canadian might be mixed into your Accent…Apart from any curiosity regarding any possible Accents, my friends would also love it if you could describe what (you feel) your Voice sounds like (or what type of Voice you feel you have)…My friends are asking you that, because they’ll likely never have an opportunity to hear the sound of your Voice (and, thus, likely never get to figure out what your Voice sounds like); although, only those of my friends who weren’t born deaf ask curious Questions about what various people’s Voices sound like (high-pitched, medium-pitched, deeper-pitched, smooth or raspy, whether there’s any possible accents, etc.)…They’re curious as to whether or not you possibly might speak with any Accent and have been wondering what your Voice sounds like (High-Pitched, Medium-Pitched, Deeper-Pitched, Smooth or Raspy, etc.), as they’re unable to figure that out for themselves, as they’re deaf…Of course, those of my friends who were born deaf never ask, though, because don’t even know what Voices & Pitch sound like (let alone being able to notice any local Accents)…Of course, even if a deaf person had been made aware of someone’s Accent, they still wouldn’t be able to actually hear the Accent…

I watched your first video about Irish slang and had to continue watching the rest of them. I lived in Dublin for 3 years, worked with a plumber and an electrician, so you might have an idea of the wide and colourful slang I learnt from the lads. Burst laughing when you said "the shmoke" 🤣🤣🤣. Put the kettle on!
My family is Irish but we live in the us and I know these from my parents sometimes I use it at school and people look at me like I’m a complete nutcase (doesn’t help that I have their accent) (Dublin).

Decent enough video now but I think it should be pointed out that only about 5 or 6 of these are uniquely Irish. Pretty much all the rest would be understood and are used throughout the U.K. Admittedly a number of them are hang-overs from Gaeilge and are what’s known as “Hiberno-English.”
