People sleep on budget subs. I have 2 Meso 12's which are mid that slam in my truck then I bought the rockville punisher 15 for my jeep to test and i have been beating it and it has taken it well and no sign of quitting. Box/port design makes or breaks bass.
Not gonna be louder from 2ohm to 4ohm friend. As long as you are providing its RMS wattage at Whatever Ohms the sub is Rated at it will be just as loud! Bassheads, just make sure you've done your homework and your Subs are in the appropriate sized boxes, wire size and power... We're all here to help each other..
@@MTWMisfits yes, But, if you feed the subwoofer its recommended watts at 4ohms it will be exactly as loud as at 2ohms. Please do your research. That is why the speakers come with all these different rating my friend. They will ALL produce the same results. Not everyone has a 1ohm, 2ohm or 4ohm amp haha, that's why subs are rated like that.. make sense? They won't be any louder friend. Your box will help that.
@@MTWMisfits yes I know friend.. But!, you can have 4ohms at the recommended watts at 4ohms from the manufacturer of the sub and it will pay just as loud.. Don't mislead the fellow Bassheads haha. or do your homework.
@MTWMisfits the lower the ohms the more power in reference to amps. Subs and speakers ohms are in reference to voice coils to allow for different wiring options, preferably in matching the amps ohms. So technically, yes, the lower the subs can be wired to match the amp the more power you get to the sub. Also with this comes the inability for the amp to control the subs, and inefficiency
I love a good budget sub! I had to downsize my 6 12's in The back of my crew cab Chevy Colorado to fit my baby seat lol. I had a decent size single 10-in ported box so I tried out the Rockville punisher. For $150 and a solid 1200 RMS this thing is a monster.
All depends on what you want to accomplish as far as sound. I do know, my buddy has 2 of their 12’s and that hit hard!! Depends also on amp and enclosure 🤷♂️. To each their own.
Great purchase! I didn’t catch the price you paid, but I’m sure it was a bargain compared to other subs with similar components. I’ve seen several reviews of your older Hyanka sub, and it seems to perform exceptionally well for the price. It’s exciting to see they’ve released this beefier model. Some people might not realize that many brand-name subs are manufactured in the same facilities in China as these newer budget brands. Often, they use the same or similarly specified parts, but at a more competitive price. While these brands can deliver equal quality, we don’t always know what their customer service and warranty support are like. Hopefully, this solid build quality will ensure that responsible customers enjoy years of trouble-free use
@@Gomez561 glad there are others that recognize and understand the rebranding. This company started with a great budget sub that was way better than Skar on startup. They keep tweaking and producing better sound. On cost, I believe it’s right around $220.

I was mostly listening to this at work with my headphones I noticed you said the box is a little small. Invert your sub having the magnet sticking out and cross the wires put the negative of the amp on the positive of the speaker and vice versa. This will free up all the airspace that that big magnet and motor structure is taking up in the box. I did the same thing to my 10-in Rockville punisher it made a huge difference

@MattSnider-b5z Like you can't even wire a dvc sub to both 4 and 2 ohm without dropping one coil out of the equation entirely?? Would not be the same rms power or even close, so you can run 2 or 8 ohm. Maybe at 8 ohm it could handle slightly more power because it takes more voltage and less amps to get the same power and less is lost to fighting resistance, but still not really
