I'm a referee at a couple recreational fields and many of the things you mentioned are rules we do go over with beginner players before they head to the staging area, and while I do find it entertaining when I see newer players doing barrel rolls, I wouldn't suggest it because I would be worried about paint breaking in the loader or even possibly accidentally breaking the marker feedneck off especially if it's a marker with a weaker style feed neck. Overall this was a great video with a lot of great tips for newer players.
Here's one (or two or more): make sure you keep your barrel cover on when you aren't playing! Had some yahoo started dorking with his marker in the safe zone and the next thing we know paint is flying past everyone. Everyone was burying their faces in bags, their armpits, whatever so as not to get shot in the face. So, barrel cover, and if you need to work on or dork with your marker, go to the field chrono area, away from everyone else. Likewise, keep your marker pointed at the ground when you are waiting to start a match and people are already taking barrel covers off. This might apply more to woodsball/scenario stuff. PS- love the channel... I've learned a lot!
Your second point is on point. While I haven't seen that many paints fly while dorking around but I have seen so many people that hold their marker without their barrel socks in the safe zone. As someone that was in a shooting club before I just get a weird feeling seeing that. First thing you learn in a shooting club is tho point the barrel downward when you are carrying the weapon so that when a shot goes off on accident it will hit someones foot and no their face.
For the newbies, biggest hurdles are mask fogging and ball chopping. Solutions are: buy a double pane mask(eliminates fogging if the seal of sound), and buy barrels which fit the paint. That plus having a marker with anti ball chop technology is important. Mask is more important though. Nothing worse than being in a tick but you can’t see anything.
That's true. After I decided I liked paintball, I immediately bought the Empire EVS. Much bigger field of vision, more comfortable, no fogging, my glasses fit inside properly, I can breath properly.. it's like three technology tiers above the rental mask.

3:08, alright story time. I use to play the pewpew nearly every weekend as a Teen for years, but that can be EXSPENSIVE. So my first shift was to playing pump, theoretically less paint shot = less cost. But then it still was too expensive. So gradually I started breaking the cardinal sin of picking paint shot off the ground, especially the fresh ones that were shot from really far away that bounced off me. And eventually I started going with ZERO paint for a very long time and making it my absolute goal to get an insane KD at my local rec ball field with zero paint at the start. I eventually had to stop because it became a known factor and people would run up on me, but let me tell you that took a very long time to happen lmfao.
Brothers and I loved playing woods balls and doing bill Baileys WWII scenarios. Our old team name was Team RamRod we ran the Titman X7 phenom with I believe the 16in hammer head barrel kit the only rifled barrel I believe that’s the only rifle barrel out there. We always dropped our air to 255-260 shot the best without zipping on ya, we had a major advantage on how much further we could shoot and break balls vs every one else. Had several guys bitch to refs that we had to be shooting hot until they see a consistent 255-260 Chrono
Yeah, I had a guy UNLOAD on my back. I had a guy covering that spot and he ducked out without saying anything. Left me with about a dozen bleeding welts. Once the judge saw the damage he went to make the guy chrono again, and the dude drove off with his gear rather than re-chrono. In other words he KNEW he was shooting over the limit and still overshooting at short ranges. BAD Sportsmanship sucks.
hi can I get a few advices on what to get to start playing? mainly on : marker , tank , paint, and kneepads and various accessories that I might need to start and be ok for a while. I know you already made a video but I wanted an updated to 2022 version of that in short words, so that it won't take much of ur time.
9:00 what kind of kneepads are the best, i've talked to my dad and he says that he wouldn't wear them because it could make it harder to run, but aren't there "flexible" kneepads?
only ever went and play paintball once. Was taking cover and a dude sprinted around one of our flanks and shot me 6 times in the same spot on my side in under a second. Never wanted to fight someone so bad before lmao
Probably good that you don't play this sport because this happens a LOT. I myself have a rule that if shoot at a target until they put their hand up because sometimes people go WAY overboard on padding their clothes and it can take forever at times for them to finally know when they're hit.
When you have an open bag of paint that you want to save for the next time, put it in a ziplock some paper towel and if they come with a silica pack then use that too. Then suck the air out with a straw then keep it in a stable temp area. Had paint kept like this for like 6 months and was still as good as before.
I used to use pods "saving private ryan style", if I was pinned behind cover by a few guns, I'd peek a few times, then wait, and stick a pod out instead, if it gets lit up, I'm still gettin camped. Worked way too often tbh.
I really liked the 'Dont take your mask off' tip, right at the beginning. A rough way to know is a little math. You can multiple the tank size by either 10 for 3000psi or 15 for 4500psi. 68*15 = 1020 shots and 48*10 = 480 shots
Not only like the other comment said but between the 2 sizes you said which should've been 68/4500* and 48/3000, the first number is the volume of air the tank will hold followed by at what max pressure or the 2nd number. In the question you asked not only is the first tank bigger volume wise but also is able to be pressurized 50% more than the 2nd tank you listed. Last but definitely not least, not only will you get quite a bit more shots with the first tank but I also don't think I've ever seen the size of the 2nd tank made from anything other than a heavy metal like steel or maybe aluminum making them quite heavy. However the first tank you listed should be made of a much much lighter fiber composite material that makes a huge night and day difference to the weight and balance of your marker set-up!
