I love how you have games like Banjo Kazooie, where Grant Kirkhope talks about the lengths they went to in order to fit everything on the tiny N64 cartridges. Then you have Gex where they probably ran out of space after recording a dozen lines of quips, and saw that as a sign that the game was done.
A quick little fun fact about this game: During the early days of Valve when they were making games: They actually took the acting method of saying multiple lines in a row and having all those takes seem dynamic so it doesn't get old, so they were inspired by Gex to implement this exact feature in Left 4 Dead and it's sequel with saying the same voicelines so it doesn't get old quick and it sounds natural
