  • REGAL VISE is a family owned business located in New England and they make some of the best fly tying vises there is. All of their Fly Tying Vises and Fly Tying Accessories are are manufactured and hand crafted at their facility in Orange Massachusetts, U.S.A. They are fiercely proud to say we make the highest quality fly tying vise in the world....and we tend to agree!
All of their products are made by Fly Tiers and Anglers for Fly Tiers and Anglers. Apart from their Pro Staff and their invaluable design input, they have an entire staff of knowledgeable tyers helping us design and manufacture our fly tying vises.

When I started tying, I used a Thompson A vise given to me by a friend to learn to tie on while stuck at home after an operation. Later, after joining a tying club which featured presentations & classes by noted experts, & seeing what they used (mostly Renzettis & Regals) , I upgraded to a Regal. For someone like me who can’t stand to tie more than 10 of one fly without changing size & pattern, the Regal is perfect. I can change hooks & sizes with no collet or other adjustments.

Owned many many vises. My regal kicks butt. I have the rotary big game, tube, and trout heads on a bronze pocket base. Cadillac. The Tube head comes with pins that aren't tapered. That's the only drawback.

i own the revolution and have tied 10s of thousands of flies over the last 18 years. been through many different vises. they all have positives and negatives. if i could only have one it might be a regal because of versatility. but my dyna king ultimate indexer is hard to beat

Good information Question - I have a bronze midge jaw that I’d like to trade for a stainless steel jaw. What’s the best way to get this done? Any guess Wonder what I might pay for new vice after a trade for the stainless steel jaw head?
