Finally a massive buff to politics. When this game released it really was lacking in everything save for a decent economic system, which made it feel like an economic sim... Love to see expansion in the exploitation, influence and investment aspects which were so prevalent in the Victorian era! They still need to fix the military/navy side of things and need to add a whole bunch of flavour, but they are going in the right direction!
it's a modifier based on a condition, with custom UI. I don't know of a vic3 player who ever said "I need such a feature" but I know of a lot who said they needed other features. The modifiers would have mattered if the game was at all difficult.
Gonna be honest, this should've been a base game feature (at least a scaled down version) plus the foreign investment mechanics. Only after this could we say the game is approaching the end of its Early Access-like launch.
Yay! Go Pdox and waste our time with filler info that we all already heard/ know of. You never cease to suck for every game you release as of late. Keep up the good work!
I suck at this game but love hunting achievements (You can guess how they go hand and hand) but I’m excited to see how the new achievements will be! Nice work guys, looks fun to use.
Looks great in theory but I'm worried the ai will even be able to use these features in a random fashion never mind in a logically targeted way. Massive win for multiplayer users though(even if I don't play it myself).
@-Mopo Thay sounds like an interesting idea, especially since, I'm assuming, cities have been renamed in this setting (especially after the Russian Civil War).
I really hope the development team took feedback from the forum and scaled back the most game-y modifiers coming from those unions. Wouldn't like to see this beauty of a game slowly get deranged into a Stellaris/HOI4-style modifier stacking game.
Wish it wasn't mostly just modifiers as a bonus of forming/joining a Power Bloc but rather a way to make AI behavior more consistent (ie guarantees from AI of joining your aggressive wars or embargos on other nations in exchange for foreign investment and some PB membership buffs). Foreign investment sounds good though, and hopefully it leads to AI diplomacy that isnt so fickle, where it won't just abandon you at a moment's notice. If it's just buffs on buffs the game is already easy enough from a internal politics/economy side, it just gets easier with that. Diplo on a consistency level needs to be a priority, where AIs pick and choose what diplo plays to join from a historical/regional and reasonable sense, not just throwing it's economy down the drain because of you taking an OPM on the other side of the earth.
I still think we should be able to join more than one power bloc. If one or two power blocs types are simply just better, why would I ever want to create or join a worse type? What if I want to create a Sovereign Empire as France, but also want to create the Entente as a military treaty? With the limit of only being in one power bloc, I would never be able to do that.
When vic 3 released i think it was disapointment but after two years i like every patch, keep going. I think this game need more historical character for senario.
Between adding character models and customizing statues that mean nothing, I wonder where this recent fixation on superfluous aesthetic junk has come from at Paradox. It works in Crusader Kings but pretty much all their other games are country-focused rather than dynasty-focused. It's superficial junk that even if it's not a lot of resources in a vacuum, servicing still eats into game resources that could be devoted to the actually important systems.
Well i bet its because they want to keep the peoples that does those working so they keep their experience for when a new game will come, those dont work on the system you want but since they dont have the competences to do it, it dont take ressources away from it
my thoughts exactly, this DLC feels like it belongs in CK3. It's like Tours and Tournaments or Royal Courts, they're fluffed up by a lot of new buttons to click that don't really address any of the game's fundamental weaknesses. Atleast in CK3 they're really zeroing in on RP aspect but with Vic3 there's still so much work needed to fix the core gameplay mechanics
I love how the game is turning out, ignore all the ppl that have never played the game and throw hate anyways, i love this game so much, keep it up guys ❤
The features of the Power Bloc can be accessed for free, but the only Identity you can form as a free player normally is the Trade League. However, any of the historical setup Power Blocs e.g. British Empire, you can play as with their identites even if they are part of the DLC.
I hope this makes playing minors fun otherwise i dont see a future for this game anymore. I mean it is literally a waiting simulator playing as a minor
Why would a country need arbitrary 'mandates' to define the kind of power bloc it's creating? What is it even simulating? Can a trade league irl have only one principle until other countries join? It's too gamey. The statues also sound silly af.
I mean its not too bad, it allows youtubers to collaborate with game devs which might extend how long they stream thst game also the players know the game best sometimes plus i dont think cost much or cost at all
With this + the new investment rules, exploitation of other countries is gonna be through the roof. And I love it
At least you now can use your economy to paint the map, not just sit until that infamy counter (totally not negative mana) is counting down.
Stay tuned for the next video on foreign investment today!
Im from a colonized country, yet i also cant wait to exploit and colonnize other nations. I guess humans are just evil haha

This is the prequel to that DLC set 400 years earlier.
Wow. Balancing and bugfixing this must have been a huge amount of work. Thanks Paradox! I even deviated from my "never preorder!" policy.
(Offtopic: The same can't be said about Bloodlines 2, after making in a Cyberpunk Swansong)

TOBIAS
Hello there
ay glad to see Toby !! 💯 seems like a nice dlc
Gonna be honest, this should've been a base game feature (at least a scaled down version) plus the foreign investment mechanics. Only after this could we say the game is approaching the end of its Early Access-like launch.
A very expensive early access addition, no less.
Actually the Ottoman, Russian, GB, Austria, Prussia power Błocks are free to use. You cant just make a custom one
Yay! Go Pdox and waste our time with filler info that we all already heard/ know of. You never cease to suck for every game you release as of late. Keep up the good work!
Then stop buying their games and tell others to do the same. SImple as.
finally we getting vic 3

Massive win for multiplayer users though(even if I don't play it myself).
I hope they don't make expansion even harder
This looks good! Looking forward to playing this
Will the AI be able good enough to understand it and use it correctly?
Of course not, they can't even understand buildings
They might improve ai@@masteriw
Course not, vic3 it's a sandbox, if ai it's too strong it becomes tedious
@@ITT59Gamer they'd done so by now if they could
WAIT NO WAY ITS TOBIAS YOOOOO
Wassup.
Paradox Wouldnt it be a good idea to customise country flags, logos and names of the political parties etc.? We need more customisation.
renaming cities would also be sweet
i mean you can edit all of that by modifying the games files or downloading a mod so I don't think paradox should waste their energy doing that
@@SebastianRoczz Names should be a thing, super easy to implement and many want it without having to use time outside of the game

@valeriolibratti9643 the discord says otherwise. Most people hate it. Keep those wacky "mechanics" in EU4 but not anywhere in Vic 3
I hope these bonuses are grounded in reality.
So excited to play this!
Very excited about the release !
Interesting. Let’s see Aquila interactive’s power blocks.

And a power bloc that has an identity that cannot change, only get more cemented? Weird decision.
Power błocks are the sphere of influence of the founder not a union of equals
I hope to see Midhat Pasha in Game as a Historical Character
When vic 3 released i think it was disapointment but after two years i like every patch, keep going. I think this game need more historical character for senario.
We have more historical characters being added in both Update 1.7 and Sphere of Influence! We mention it in the Art Dev Diary for Sphere of Influence!
