  • Prepare for your upcoming PC-12 recurrent training with a refresher on automation, flight director discipline, procedural discipline, unusuals, and abnormals.
In this video we cover the following training maneuvers and scenarios:
    Steep turns
    Stall recovery:
    • Clean configuration
    • Dirty configuration in a turn
    • Managing energy state with the dynamic speed bug
    Unusual Attitudes
    Circle-to-land approach
Our PIC shows a real world circle-to-land approach. Circling approaches are not encouraged but are used to emphasize their risks and challenges while honing core skills. Key focus areas include:
    • Planning: personal minimums may exceed published ones, especially in night and IMC conditions.
    • Hand flying: at low speed and altitude in landing configuration, avoiding over-banking or sudden movements to prevent stalls.
POPA Safe Flying is a series of training videos produced by POPA in partnership with FlightSafety. This series will include scenarios in the PC-12 Legacy, PC-12 NG, and PC-24 simulators. These training videos will show realistic scenarios and realistic pilot mistakes, followed by correct procedures demonstrated by CFI’s Travis Holland (PC-24) and Rod Kellogg (PC-12).
