    Literally just had the problem over the course of 4 days, and I was desperate for a cure, but did not want to go to the doctor. So after googling. I chose to swish very warm salt water right around the area of the stone. Also massaged the area. Drink straight lemon juice, I did press on the stone with my tongue, you may not have to do this part, but that's what I did. Drank as much water as I could. I had spaghetti for dinner, and couldn't eat it all bc the pain was so horrible, but I think it also helped to induce saliva...and I woke up in the middle of the night and the stone was out! I felt so relieved. Hope this helps someone. Because I understand the pain.

    My lymph nodes starts to swell when i was elementary and i keep on pressing and squeezing it to get off but it does not back to normal size it become worst until i was in my 2nd year in college my salivary gland swell until i couldn't eat well so i decided to consult a doctor and had a biopsy on my salivary glands and fortunately it was not cancerous and the doctor gives me antibiotics and it heals it becomes normal again and after several years it swell again and there was pus coming out in my salivary glads but i just ignore it bcoz im afraid to have consultation again .Honestly it gives me bad breath because of the pus 😕5 years ago since i went to my doctor and decided to consult again just this month (im already 23) and he said that it has stone it should be rid off and gives me antibiotics. I've had 10 over the years all in the left duct. I've now learnt how to get them to pop out. After having so many I had an ultrasound and if seems the duct on the left has a much smaller opening than the right one. I actually knew when one had come out because I got a huge spray of saliva all of a sudden and I could see the hole where it had come out inside my cheek. Suck a piece of lemon whilst you have one and you go through the roof with the pain and throbbing. If you don't want serious pain avoid all sour and sharp foods. The mouth will produce even more saliva backed up in the duct where the stone has blocked the salivas exit.

    Personal experience: if you catch the existence of a stone early *and* it is near the opening (it feels like a pimple) a gentle(!) massage of the area with an electric toothbrush can entice it to come out on its own. I can’t see how this can be harmful-and it worked for me. Twice.

    I got them operated out and after 3 years they started accumulating again... giving unbearable pain along with swelling.
    One trait of these stones that I've observed so far is that we shouldn't touch them with so much pressure again and again.
    All you have to do is to eat some saliva inducing food and after the gland got filled with saliva it will build pressure then just leave it alone and after some time when the pressure reduces slightly massage the area and they will flush out by themselves.

Whenever i take a first bite, or even just a flavoured drink the parotid area, especially the right side starts hurting like I've been punched there. The pain goes away in less than a minute and does vary in levels but my god it sucks. I've been on a first date and it flared up when i started eating which wasn't great as a first impression. Mine is not in the duct but in the actual gland...Sometimes I can feel it and it feels like it's about the size of a pea...Would it still be easy enough to go all the way to the inside of the gland?

    • @kdotprem6029
      @kdotprem6029 6 лет назад +1

      It's not actually in the gland (under your chin) its the build up of inflammation and infection under the tougue due to stones in the Duct which causes a lump on under your chin

    • @startmeup5156
      @startmeup5156 6 лет назад +1

      Mine isn't under my chin though....it's on the side of my face just above the jaw line. And I've never had inflammation and infection. It's never caused me pain and only bloats up when I bend over, in which case I massage it and it goes back down. I'll say it again...if I rub my fingers around in that spot on the side of my face sometimes I can feel the stone and it's about the size of a pea.

    Had this happen to me for the first time like 5 years ago and it was really bad. The gland itself was super swollen and the end of the duct kept getting blocked and the duct tube would fill up and push out so far from under my tongue that it would touch my teeth! Eventually I used my tongue to crimp at the base and push towards the end and eventually it popped out, but I have had stones ever since and my gland is always larger than it was and is always a little sore to the touch even at the best of times (I feel the gland itself must have blockages and the ones that get to my duct are pieces that break out of the gland).
