i always imagine the winged lion mimicking humanity the same way ranchers figure out how to make sure their cattle won't be stressed and ruin the quality of their produce. and the first time he truly feels malice towards a human is because laios took away his appetite
One thing that really helps understand why he's so chill is this: it literally does not matter what a human wants, as long as they want *anything at all.* As long as the desires keep flowing, the demon is getting what it wants, and ultimately also gaining strength.
So, really, it just makes sense to be nice, helpful and entirely positive to the human that asks for stuff.
First time and I think last one. Lion doesn't really does anything to Laois, besides cursing him. Curse is sure really effective but... Lion doesn't do anything else. If it was a character with all of human desires , that would've been more devastating. But Lion accomplished revenge for exactly one thing and then fucked off confused on what to do next
Lion doesn't even prevent Falin from being resurrected, even though he totally could have! I suspect he was planning to get revenge that way, but decided not to at the last minute.
I just noticed that the desires kinda look like the stats in the adventures bible so that would mean the winged lion eats the skills of humans

my jaw literally dropped at 1:15 because of how well the lyric fits. i love the repetition of the “do you find i always come back with the same old lines” frame. this is absurdly well done!! all the frames are so fitting and so lovely to look at. i’m in love
I like how the first two repetation of "Do you find -" was him smiling afterwards, showing how he can be incontrol of a situation and how conniving he is. And the third one was him being defeated, losing that cunning smile

WOW!! This is phenomenal, I am blown away 💖💖 This song is a really inspired choice, it fits the Winged Lion's themes perfectly. My jaw dropped at "If you are the flower then I am the pavement, If you are the water then I want to taste it, If you are the lion then I am the hunger, If you are a human then I am desire" I love how you used that verse to demonstrate the Lion's relationships with each of the Dungeon Lords, and finally its confrontation with Laois. Your art is stunning as well, the colors are beautifully vibrant and the textured lines + shading adds a very nice touch. Loved the expressions too 💖Fantastic work :D

This is absolutely amazing!! I love how when it shows the different dungeon lords the colors represent them and their reasons in some way. Thistle being in purple which is a royal color. Mithrun in green like envy. Marcielle in pink and red for love/passion. And Laios in yellow for creativity/optimism. Thistle made the deal for the sake of the kingdom, Mithrun out of jealousy and insecurity, Marcielles love for those around her and her fear of losing them, and Laios who keeps pushing through no mater what to get his sister and find his own belonging. Yellow also is considered a ‘Hungry’ color where seeing it leads you to being hungry. Overall beautifully done and wonderful song choice!
Laios also has red, which is also a "hungry" color

"I'll never be as individual as you" is such a good line to wrap up Falin's arc of living for others and then starting to live for herself ❤️

This is genuinely one of my favorite works of Dungeon Meshi fan content. All of the colors here are stunning especially in the sweeping backgrounds. You chose the perfect song for the winged lion and the perfect visual for every lyric. This is honestly one of those animatics where every frame would be amazing as a stand-alone artwork but the composite of them is just… beautiful. Amazing work.

I mean, as a fan who read the manga before the anime even exist, I love seeing people who discover it with the anime and make content of it, and I always think of how I can't wait season 2 'cause the winged lion arc is so incredible and, if I dare to say, deliciously creepy (especially book 13, it turns out so horror-style, and even though I didn't expect it I love it!) and I can't wait to see content of it.
AND THIS IS EXACTLY WHY, your animatic is so incredible, I love your drawing style, and the parallels, the colors, and just the way the song fit so much! The "I'm now aware of incompleteness" lyric fits the lion like a glove, almost as if it was made for him!

goddd i love the color in this so much!! Full colored animatics are so hard and I love that you reuse some frames but by giving it completely different colors bringing it an entirely different atmosphere! not to mention the yellow color coding for the Winged Lion makes him (and his desire) looks like a block of cheese yummy. Just overall love the colors used!!! You might not feel like it's the best work but for me it's like YUM!!!!! FREE CAKE!!!! This is so delicious.... in dungeon
