Here is the full 2001 Indy 500 intro, the last of the Delta Force intros? Includes both the introductions to the pre-race show and a short version right before the race started.
Every time I hear the ‘Many happy returns’ part, I choke up a little. Despite all the NASCAR/IRL/CART rivalry back then, for that one day the animosity was put aside and the drivers from each discipline could compete as equals.
Thanks to Paul Paige for creating the amazing Delta Force intros. The 1992 intro is the greatest. "money doesnt matter, living doesnt matter, winning is the only thing that matters" - Little Al.
Al Michaels is an absolute legend and among the best sportscasters in history. But I'm sorry Al, even your golden voice seems out of place with Delta Force. The Indy 500 intro is Paul Page's, and his alone.
"F1 should be a warmup race for IndyCar. have a breakfast with beer, watch F1, get bored, go to sleep and wakeup energetic ready for all out IndyCar action race. happy ending..🤩"
Quase te respondi errado aqui. Lembrei de 92 que o Bobby tinha um carro da cerveja Miller. Foi o ano que ele sendo atual campeão da série (Cart PPG Indycar) não qualificou pra prova
This intro gives me chills. So many great and legendary drivers
That was the only possible way for this intro without Paul Page's voice
Probably the greatest Indy 500 intro that there has ever been

As far as I'm concerned Roger Penske coming back was the beginning of the end of the split, it just took 7 years to end officially.

On this day, Roger Penske returned with a pair of brazilians, one of them left us yesterday
RIP Gil, probably our most complete driver since Senna
RIP Ward and Rathmann

zlinedavid 100% agree, but the actual production of this intro with many of the past champions gave me goosebumps.
I agree 100%. Paul Page is exceptional. There’s something about the 91’ intro that will always stick with me.
Paul Page and the late Bob Jenkins are the voices of indy car
RIP Bobby Unser
Hearing those names of the winners. RIP Al Unser Sr and Bobby Unser
A.J. always a class act.
Wow, the HISTORY In that one
The best indy 500 intro ever!!!

And poor Sharp didn't even make it out of the first turn on that day...
He was my favorite driver as a kid. I was devastated.
I guess this is the best intro EVER, but having Salazar on it? C'mon, Eliseo Salazar?????
Carlos Bragatto 1991’s With Paul Page
Nelson Piquet didn't like it
Not the same without Paul Paige
I know nascar is FOX/NBC now, but why can't they just have the Brickyard 400 on ABC??
Takuma Sato 2017 winner.
I guess, that's why they gave up the 'delta force' - how to beat *this*?
Check out 1994's intro.
1:31 o grande Emerson Fittipaldi
the Mario´s tribute. is cool :) but this intro for me is better
I would put the 95 intro too. For the Centennial of automobile racing in the US. Very underrated
A. J Foyt. the G.O.A.T
RIP AL USNER SR
Acho que o booby rahal quase quebrou a tradição do leite tomando Budweiser em 1986
