Unfortunately, as beautiful and glorious the Montreal metro is, the equipment and infrastructure are old. Thus, accident tend to happen. Furthermore, the STM doesn’t invest enough money into its subway infrastructure. In fact, lots of subway systems, including the Chinese, Japanese, Singaporean and Korean ones, have basic protection infrastructure such as the glass doors. Unfortunately, I just feel like public transportation is just way more convenient in other big cities in Canada or elsewhere. Vancouver’s system is better than Montreal’s for say. Something tells me that all that money isn’t spent on where it is supposed to be spent on. Vancouver, for example, has a smaller GDP than Montreal. Yet, Vancouver is more advanced technologically than Montreal. I won’t judge anything here, but I must say that Quebec is a corrupted province.
@@magnabaddelta-thriller5603 Just saw an article from Montreal Gazette called "Province prodded for more investment in métro maintenance". Even the newspaper agrees with my statement. And the worst is that they are not even trying to hide it.
I could’ve met you I’m so sad 😢I live in the old building next to the Castelnau station and I was at the McDonald’s at the same time you were there, I could’ve as seen you. Well next time.
I noticed the deterioration of the concrete a while ago, I have a feeling it has something to do with the blue line extension because they were supposed to inaugurate the 5 new stations coming in 2031.

@@Ile-des-Soeurs_Verdun I think everyone would agree with you. Regardless their political stance
Yes 100%
Great comment mate spot on
They might as well begin to extend the platform at Saint-Michel now.
Yeah for real
They could have made Iberville a temporary terminus. The switch track isn’t too far
Yeah good point.

Yeah for sure! Next time mate
Meanwhile the ceiling over the tracks a Fabre Metro looks like it can crumble any time now.
Yes I noticed that as well.

Interesting. I'll have to go back and look at my old videos too from Saint-Michel metro station and see if I see anything.
News: Saint-Michel is now reopened! The catch is that the main intrance is still closed.
That's Terrible Patrick 😥
Yeah hopefully they fix it
I wonder how long they’ll be closed for
It could last up to a few weeks, but they’re hoping it’ll only last a few days.
Yeah days to weeks. I guess we have to wait for an update
it used to be eqipment problems in tracks but now it is because of a incident
Yeah
