Back in 1967, I remember taking the original Green line from Atwater, where it used to end, to Berri-Uqam and changing to the yellow line to Expo 67. Jean-Drapeau station was then known as Ile St. Helene. The Orange line ended at Bonaventure back then. My uncle settled in Montreal in 1951, so it was very convenient for us when we visited Expo. There was a major shortage of hotel accommodations. Expo 67 drew just over 50 million visitors - almost the same number as the New York World's Fair attracted in two seasons. One of the Mini-rail lines at Expo went right through the US Pavilion; we rode on that segment. The Yellow Line did operate six-car trains for a time.
Hey Pat! I have a request that you could ride and film from îles-des-sœurs REM station to Saint-Michel on blue line 🔵 - Go on rem direction Gare Centrale and then go to Bonaventure then go to Orange line Montmorency direction and then get off at Jean-Talon and go to Blue line direct Saint-Michel. Thanks 😃🙂
By the way, mate, what do you think of my idea of filming videos in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield (24 kms from the Quebec-Ontario border)? I can take Exo bus line 1 to get there from Angrignon. If my memory is correct, I’ll have to ride 78 stops (1hr32mins) of that bus. But, it rolls on provincial route 132, which is one of the most beautiful routes in Quebec. Also, that’s what I love about Exo, something that no other transit company managed to achieve. Somehow, Exo even got buses that go to Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu (the 450 and 685 lines) and to Salaberry-de-Valleyfield (the 1 and 28 lines). I don’t care how comfortable their buses are, the area of coverage of Exo gives it away. Exo and Orléans Express are the kings of Quebecer transit. STM, RTL and STL, get out of here and take notes.
Yes my ex girlfriend lives there I used to take the 1 like often. I'm hoping I will work things out with her again and take it there. I have 1 bus videos on my channel. It's a nice area for filming
