- Hiking up the mountain house trail to the summit of Wachusett Mountain in Princeton Massachusetts. Taking this hike here in October made for some great foliage colors along the trial with almost full color all along the way, As I went I spotted the remains of old stone walls and foundations left behind from the abandoned colonial farms. A pretty good & steep hike but done in less than a half hour was nice and easy. Getting the the summit and observation area was great and there are so many things to see up there between the views and radio antennas.

Wah-wah Wachusett. Wachusett mountain skiing minutes away.

What a great hike today Charlie. While you did it in 25 minutes, if you don't mind, I will be in that 45 minute to an hour range. Wait for me at the top. The colors and views are pretty awesome. - SB
That was a good colourful hike great view's Thank's again Charlie!!!; )
Great visit! Thanks for taking me along!
What struck me most was the glorious colours of the leaves, and all the rocks. That was a wonderful hike through the woods Charlie and though the horizon was very patchy it was great to see what we could. I heard the wind and realised that it was cold up there and thought I'd be well wrapped up lol. Its wonderful that there is a drive up to the top, so many people miss seeing the beauty as they are unable to get to places but anyone can see what there is up there. I have enjoyed my Not Thursday thank you for taking us along with you. Take care my friend, good luck and happy hiking Mary-Ellen LFOD Someone if you read this thank you for liking my posts, I look forward to seeing Someone come up and wish to let you know how much I appreciate you. I like the communications building. And the scenery 👍

What a beautiful hike!
nice views charlie
Enjoyed your video!
Friggin awesome !
Charlie I hiked up that mountain all the time great view from the tower
Enjoyed watching. Thanks for sharing, GL, HH and take care.
Nice views around Mt. Wachusett. Man, I'd take 50 degrees temps with winds right now.....supposed to drop into single digits tonight in my neck of the NH woods, with wind chills making it feel like a few degrees below zero!
Wish i knew you were in my neck of the woods. Love hiking those trails to the top.
I was hoping we'd get to see a real colonial mountain home 🤷 The hike up the trail was a beautiful one 👍 Thanks for this trek!!
Love the vids man .. and I haven’t even gotten past the first commercial on this one..,lol
What a wonderful and magical place. Off topic was where you walked was a very small community quite back in the day? 1700s? I'm a bit of an empath. This area gave me blips of scenes of the area. It was either a large family orca small community.
That was the foundation to a hotel called Mountain House. Late 1800’s.
Loved this one! Only problem I see is it's just too short. Thanks.
I, being me, have to wonder how many people have stood on that flat rock at the top, and screamed out their anger, joy, pain, frustration
at the world, and hiked/driven back renewed, or simply......better. It's what I would do, but then again..I, being me, would never tell.
Trees will do that! I remember when...
i like the ones where you have permission to dig better but its beautiful
Nice views. Whats going on with the videos of Bill and tinman and your adventures with them?🥺
Thursday on Stealth Diggers 😉
You're in my stomping grounds today and yesterday. 😁
I can see this mountain from my bedroom window.
IS METAL DETECTING NOT ALLOWED in that site
I was just thinking and wondering: do you ever find grave sites?
Uhhh why was there water at the top of the mountain?
Summit views a bit underwhelming?
Didn't realize that was there. My first and last time skiing was at Wachusett on a high school field trip eons ago. I remember having to pick a couple kids up at an ER on the way back to the big city.
Being able to drive up there is awesome as hiking that isn't possible. I'll add that to a list of places to go when I'm able to start adventuring again. Thanks for taking us to cool places!!
50? I wish it was 50 now
I rambled today up the hills of New Hampshire, with Charlie as guide it was wonderfully done. We admired Fall colors and walls made of field-stone, the hike up the mountain was ever such fun. Splendid the views we saw from the mountaintop, I could have admired the view there for hours. What was surprisingly so unexpected tho, was the stone building connected to towers. The juxtaposition of stone house and towers seemed strange and unnatural, I must attest. I wished for the wilds of Charlies bushwhacking, and walls in the wilderness, they are the best.
Thanks for another great Not Thursday Charlie. Keep warm for winter is surely just around the bend!
Real Charlie give me tired walking away a power that it was a beautiful sight I love that house I shall they had a swimming pool I didn't know they had from their gold back the end and that day I better be cold we stay blessed and I'll see you on your next
Why drive when you can walk and soak in the scenery
