  • Here's a walk through of the lobby and grounds of Switzerland Inn in my old home town Little Switzerland, NC. The shops around the Inn are called Switzerland Village. The hotel has been around for many years - at least 60 or more (I just don't know for sure). Here's their website: switzerlandinn... Many people come there particularly in the Autumn each year. It's one of those "get away from everything" type places. Very pretty view down into McDowell county from up here. It's literally only about 40 yards off the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Thanks for the tour.. What an interesting place. Some great views and what a lovely place to have a wedding. People are really friendly.

We just tripped into this place yesterday! We were lost and looking for directions. We loved it and meandered around for a while. It was like we suddenly found ourselves in a dream land!

    Tony,
As many times as I have been to Little Switerland, I have not seen this. Thank you for sharing your videos. Since I am from Clayton, NC, I don't get to get up there as much as I would like (about 6 times a year) and your videos that you share give me an insight on what's going on. Keep up the good work as I am slowly but surely going through the videos. Hopefully, I will be going that way next week (Oct 6 or 7th) to again enjoy what I love the most. The Mountains.

Many thanks for that comment brother. It's my home-town, Little Switzerland. One of the best places to have grown up, even though now I live in the Valdese area. There are many facets to the area. Much to see and share via video. I'm going to probably start a series about what I love about that place. It should be getting very pretty up in LS on the 6th and 7th. Have a great time! Thanks for watching. TLG

I used to know someone named Marc Malec who used to live here. He died back in 2011. He and his wife moved to this area for his wife's work.
