You reminded me that I need to get the Highland Lilac. I too grew up with lilacs bordering my childhood home. Not only do I just love the smell, but they in bloom at the start of Summer vacation. So it’s directly linked to that vibe- long, lazy days spent entirely outside playing. Ahh. 😊 Thank you for this video!
Hi there!! That sounds like an awesome/beautiful scent memory. If you get the Highland Lilac, I would love to hear what you think of it! I am wearing it today. 💜
You have really become my favorite perfume reviewer. And it's because you really review true beauties. I think your nose is amazing. I really loved your reviews on vintage perfumes. Thank you for taking the time to review all of these gorgeous scents.
That Highland Lilac...sounds so great. Thank you for the video!!! Lilacs are so beautiful. In LA, we have lilac trees. They’re not as powerful smelling as the bushes, but still fragrant and bring in the spring.
Friend! I haven’t been to CA for years but will never forget visiting an aunt in the LA area as a child, and experiencing both fresh citrus and the smell of orange blossom. I bet the lilac trees are fantastic!
@@savorsalvagescent2300 is your aunt still in CA? When are you coming back? To tell you the truth, I’m very curious about Cincinatti and Cleveland. Cleveland for the arts and Cincinatti because it’s hilly, a river town, crazy history and very settled in a wild way.
@@lynnleglaire4819 Aunt was a distant one and has been long passed away. But I will remember how beautiful California was forever! However I do have a friend who lives in Studio City I hope to visit some time.. likely not this summer but next. If that happens or you are in Cleveland, I hope to have a perfume party! :)
Hi Amy! I am a subscriber who has been Hi Hi Amy, Amy, I have been waiting and hoping you would do an all-things-liac - So worth the wait! too adore lilac bushes and feel their fragrance is the truest expression of Spring.
Omg! I so want that Highland Lilac! I will look for it! I love lilacs! I recently bought Guerlain Idylle Love Blossom that features lilacs and honey. It’s pretty good. They also have Idylle Jasmine Lilac Duet. Haven’t smelled that one. 💜
I adore Guerlain + lilacs and have heard both of those are great but haven’t tried them... thanks for the reminder. It he Highland Lilac is my favorite lilac scent. It smells just like the flower in full, heady bloom.
How nice to see you + your post! I know your yard is heady w/ pear + other blooms from your recent video. If you adopted a little lilac i’m sure she would fit right in!! 💜 My best friend bought me a small, dark purple lilac when Prince passed away, in his memory, snd it is just about to open.
I adore your videos and am so glad to read this. I think we are both part of a collab coming up. In the meantime, thank you for your wonderful videos + intel.
Oh my gosh... I need to get that Highland Lilac. I found their website so, it's a go. Well, not just yet because I just bought like 40 perfumes in one month but in September when I let myself perfume shop again. Wow, its only mid-July.... 😝🙃🤓
Hahahaha, I surely relate to this post. Last fall + winter I went crazy and now I am trying to slow my roll a bit! But I do think you will love the Highland Lilac. It is the closest I’ve experienced to the real thing!
I always remembered the original Tresor as a peach scent but when I tried it again recently it has a very prominent lilac note! Rochester, NY has a lilac festival every May and it is mesmerizing so it's good to see Highland brand get some shine. I bet Soltice Scents would knock it out of the park if they did lilac. Great video as always =)
Hi, friend! I need to go dab some Tresor,, based on your intel! I would 💜 to go to the lilac festival. Totally agree re: Solstice Scents... hope they reopen their shop soon!
I’m so sad, I purchased Lilac Love early this year (as you know, not cheap), and it never made it to me yet eBay is not refunding me. Ouch! It sounds incredible and I am so excited to hear you love it. Eloisa, I bet you would adore the “Highland Lilac of Rochester”-smells exactly like fresh cut lilacs! Hope you are well, friend.
Nice review dear, now I’m curious about that Diorisimo one. Edmond Roudnitzka was an awesome nose, he created Madame Rochas (a gorgeous one if you haven’t smelled it) while the Nazi’s were bombing Paris! Can you imagine that!? I love your content we have a lot of similar fragrances especially the old ambery resinous ones hee! hee! I had 3 on my “to buy” list because of the notes: Joop’s Le Bain, Adam Levine & Oscar de la Renta Volupte. Then I saw your reviews and pulled the trigger LOL! I’m a HUGE Lalique fan too! Did you know that Encre Nour Pour Femme is now available!? Yeah! It was discontinued, I saw it on Fragrance Net (1.7 oz) and immediately ordered 3 bottles! I like your content we have similar tastes in perfume and you’ve introduced me to new lines (Alkemia & Solstice Scents) Thanks a Bunch! Have a great weekend! Also I love your salutations “hey cats ‘n kittens” “hey friendly friends”. One of my favorite vegan families live in Cleveland: The Esselstyn’s! ☺️
Oh my gosh, you + this post!! 💛 The intel about Roudnitzka’s context as he created Madame Rochas... art in the face of barbarism... incredible. Thank you for teaching me that. I haven’t tried that scent so hope to. I LOVE vetiver, so thank you for this hot news about the woman’s version of Encre Noire (I adore the men’s). I CANNOT WAIT to hear what you think about Le BAIN! I’m going to go spray some right now...
@@savorsalvagescent2300 one more thing before you go out and buy. I’ve never smelled EN pour femme but am taking a chance based on Agnes Eva’s review on both All male and the female versions. Thru her I found out that there was an EN femme version. Hope I like it. I’ve read that it’s nothing like the male counterparts. I bought 3 just in case I like it and it gets discontinued again. If you like vetiver (as I do 😊) you gotta try Living by Lalique. It’s so freshie gorgeous and a vetiver Bomb! I love it in the summer. My local Target sells Pacifica perfumes/products. I have Tuscan Blood Orange. I’ll have to swing by and pick up French Lilac 🙂. Thank you again 💛
@@signorinabohemia3140 the men’s version is gorgeous. I really like Agnes Eva’s reviews btw. I would love a more feminine take on the masculine version but I understand this is not that! But can I resist the bottle? Can’t wait to hear about it when you get it!
My wife has recently fallen in love with Pacifica fragrances. She currently has 3. She's been wearing Tahitian Gardenia a lot lately. My favorite Pacifica she has is Tuscan Blood Orange. So much so that I plan on getting myself a bottle... seeing as she won't share. 🤣 I don't think her or I have any Lilac dominant scents, but we'll definitely be looking for these. I though the bottle you were holding in the thumbnail was Gloria Vanderbilt. Another one my wife recently picked up.
That Tuscan Blood Orange is INCREDIBLE. I had a little travel size and used it all. I think it is so neat when couples love the same scent. The best tug of war! :)
I love Lilac! pity you did not get the Amouage, is interesting the combo with chocolate in it but it's not one of my fave! You should try A lilac a day from Vilhelm (very realistic lilac) and Matsu from Makashima (lilac and wisteria). I wanna try the Highland! Love your channel!
Hello Amy just subscribed we will be on a collab with Dr. Rose Diorissimo is great , not sure how to feel about Lilac on perfumes to be honest ,great video
…altho visiting here a year later, it’s lilac time of year again (snow mixed with warmer days in the high 50-60’s is typical here in the Tetons) and I’m highly anticipating my lilac bushes’ blooms… thanks for this review. Would also be curious to hear if you’ve any new fav lilac scents since this upload? Thanks much😘
Hi there and welcome, lilacs! With the perfumes mentioned in this video, I haven’t really needed to add any lilac perfumes lately. I have been watching my pennies w/ the exception of a recent trip to Paris so have been concentrating on the shops I visited there. Best to you + thanks for checking in! 💜
