Yves Saint Laurent changed the name of Champagne to Yvress after it was faced with lawsuits by the Champagne industry in the 1990s, if I remember correctly.
I’m very interested in trying Boucheron by Boucheron after watching this video! I heard not to long ago that Boucheron was the signature scent of the late singer Selena Quintanilla. Selena was an amazing singer and entertainer; she was very beautiful and ultra feminine as well.
Bonjour! Yes I made a review of this perfume on Selena Quintanilla’s taste. I love this singer and she was so beautiful. I think Boucheron really reflects Selena Quintanilla style and personality. You can watch my review 🥰
One of your videos has made a woman in England order a bottle of the Jean Louis Sherrer fragrance. Just thought you'd like to know how far your influence reaches into people's lives. Just think AT THE EXACT MOMENT that you were in the supermarket paying for your weekly shop, or when you were turning out your bedside lamp for the night, a stranger was buying something because YOU said it was great. Just think of it-- even whilst you sleep, you're influencing and changing lives in all sorts of little ways. The 'little ways' always end up affecting huge ongoing change, so the power of the 'trivial' is never to be underestimated. The internet really is fantastic sometimes, no? 😍😊🙏
Oh thank you 🥰 I love this idea and that's why I love to review perfumes! It's all about stories, memories, and life. Like I said, I talk a little bit about my life and a lot about perfumes! Happy to see that some people are discovering fragrances especially the ones completely discontinued!
@@anoniemmoet8984 The original, called simply 'Jean Louis Scherrer'. I very rarely wear it as it's a very galbanum-forward, bitter green 1970s chypre. If you despise the original Charlie by Revlon, you'll want to give this one a miss too. A rosey chypre worth trying is 'Duetto' by Sospiro. Elegant and just green enough. A sweeter herbal green that smells like cut grass and mountain water flowing over mossy rocks would be 'Koke Shimizu' and 'Hyouge' both by Parfum Satori. Absolutely gorgeous green fragrances without any bitterness whatsoever. Good luck finding elegant 'stealth wealth' classics that suit your style and your skin. Everybody's skin affects how differently a fragrance works.
@@anoniemmoet8984 The original, simply 'Jean Louis Scherrer'. You can check the bottle on Fragrantica and compare it with the one Alice showcased in her video mentioning it. It's a very bitter green old school 1970s chypre. Not for everybody. It reads as 'old ladyish' to many people and is intensely headache inducing if you're sensitive to galbanum-heavy fragrances. I can't wear it often and save if for when I'm in the exact right mood for it (and am wearing vintage clothing of the era, ha). I can also recommend 'Feuille de The' by Roger et Gallet as a fresh fragrance for after the shower. Perfect for summer. A safe blind buy.
I bought Boucheron EDT and oh my God, so sooo good. My daughter hugged me and told me I smelled so good❤️smells like that rich lady, effortlessly chic and beautiful.
I've loved vintage perfumes- especially French classics since my teens. It's not easy to wear them these days as they belong to another age but I wish they would come back to popularity. They are works of Art
I use to wear Boucheron about 20 years ago and I thought it was discontinued. Like you I fell in love with it when I first smelled it. I have to see if CVS has it before I order online.
The good news is you can still find this perfume in a good CVS that carries perfumes. I used to buy a bottle in any local CVS. I love the smell and it is very addictive
Love your descriptions & your passion for perfumes. Could you do a video about international florals if you wish. Thank you so much for your beautiful accent, as well.
I love to wear Jean Louis Scherrer! I’m so happy you love it as much as me. Payday can’t get here soon enough, I’m going to purchase Parfum de Peau by Montana and Indian Nights by Jean Louis Scherrer thanks to you! Love your videos, and you have EXQUISITE taste! 💜
Indian Nights is a beautiful oriental. very warm, resinous, and floral. Almost sweet on the dry down. Very opulent. Parfum de peau is more leathery and animalic. But super dry actually.
Hi, what is your opinion about Yvresse newest version (square bottle). Is that any differences between yvresse (square bottle) and champagne? I want to buy it to my mom, but i doubt it has any differences between those. Thank you
Hey thank you so much for watching my videos! Thank you for your nice comments! Yes Boucheron perfume is a very chic and sophisticated perfume. And it is tight with a very special time in my life....I am glad you love this one!
Hi. I'm a fairly new subscriber and I really enjoy your channel - especially your passion for perfume - and especially your vintage or French classic perfume reviews. I absolutely love Scherrer's La Nuits Indiennes. I live in the States but I am Indian by origin and decades ago my Yugoslavian father in law bought me a bottle of this delicious, intoxicating perfume and I loved it so much I went racing through it - so he bought me another and another! Now I know Indian Nights is discontinued and getting harder and harder to find, I use the last bottle he gave me very very sparingly. My father in law passed away in 2011 but this lovely perfume will always always remind me of him! I do wish Scherrer had made an Indian Nights EDP as well since my only complaint about the EDT is its moderate lasting power, at least on my skin...but...still...I adore the EDT!
Hello thank you for your very nice comment. I came across this perfume 9 years ago because of Jacqueline perfumery is San Francisco. I love Scherrer perfume but this one is a great night perfume. Classy, warm, sophisticated, with some oriental notes. I like the style and I love to wear this one during the summer. It’s a classic. Houbigant quelques fleurs is the definition of luxury, timeless and chic. It has a very Ritz Vibe. If it wouldn’t be that expensive it will be my bed perfume.
Hello! I remember first smelling Boucheron on my very glamorous, young friend in the early 90's. I always wanted to be her!! I've never forgotten the smell. After watching your channel I now want to buy a new bottle. I know there may be some differences, but is the newer version very similar and long lasting like the vintage one? Thank you 🙏 xx
Bonjour, the vintage one has civet like real civet from animals and not synthetic one so yes, there will be a difference. The vintage one is more animalic. I have the new version and this perfume is beautiful. I am on the hunt for a vintage version but i recommand the new version
Bonjour.

I know all these perfumes and they are really good. Currently I own and enjoy Yvresse, Bazaar, Nuits Indiennes and a small bottle of the recent version of Boucheron. Recently I smelled Magie Noire in a perfumery. I am trying to get a Boucheron Boucheron from around 2000. I wonder if that is an older version of the scent....
Bonsoir, the version of Boucheron I am showing in this video is the last and modern version. I never try a vintage version of Boucheron but I should definitely just because of the civet in the base. I will make a review
Why? Why I have found you???🥰 Now I have ordered Christian Lacroix Bazar and Jean Louis Scherrer Pop Delight 02 and 03. I haven't found another Jean Louis Scherrer...
Jean Louis scherrer you might find this one on Amazon because pop delight are very very different. The real spirit of jls is in jean Louis scherrer fragrance and not pop delight. I like bazar for spring, it’s very unique and fresh. It’s popping
