On this episode, in Mexico City, we discovered an amazing seafood spot called El Rey de los Mariscos and the two other spots where picked by Agustin, Alonso’s brother. It was an incredible culinary experience that mostly happened on the central part of the city, where we captured some amazing footage to show you some of the different seafood styles all of which are based on Mexican food traditions. Agustin’s company was very pleasant, in general, a perfect occasion for a Five Guys episode!
As mentioned during the video, Mexican seafood styles are different depending on which coast you get it, in this episode we experience both dishes form east coast, west coast and some seafood tacos.
Following, the three spots we visited:
1. El Rey de los Mariscos (The seafood king):

El Rey de los Mariscos restaurant was a whole building, here in Mexico we call that type of building a “vecindad”. As time passed, people stpped living there and the place became an amazing seafood restaurant fool of colors and flavors.
Ostiones Razurados (oysters): $8.75 USD.
Taco Gobernador: $7.27 USD
Fish Fillet: $9.27 USD
Shrimp Alambre: $12.36 USD
2. Taqueria de Barrio
Adress: Avenida Oaxaca 192 Roma Norte, Ciudad de México 06700 México
Taqueria de Barrio is an interesting concept which combine tacos with some delicious seafood, is located at La Condesa, which is a super friendly neighborhood full where tourist can find a lot of options to drink, eat and party.

3. Los Sinaloenses

Sinaloeneses was a our great and final spot, with a genuine Sinaloa cuisine, we enjoy some amazing super fresh seafood, full of lime, spices and textures.

Hey Minnie, as Jose says, there must be some place in the US to get something similar, however, seafood might be the most difficult to get right regarding Mexican cuisine. We really recommend visiting Mexico and experience the food here. Thanks for your support !!
@@5MexicanGuys yes, there are places in the US that serve authentic Mexican food where there are large Mexican communities like in Los Angeles, San Diego and SF/Oakland, but the freshness of the seafood and variety of seafood dishes cannot compare to what you guys had. I've had ceviche, fish/shrimp tacos, fried tilapia and shrimp and seafood cocktail and seafood soup.
@@minniec.9127 Sound really nice, Mexican communities commonly have something really close to the real thing, however, visiting Mexico will be even better ! haha
@@5MexicanGuys Agree my husband is from San Diego, you can find great food there but nothing tastes like it does in Mexico, even the Margarita's are the best! I want to do the Herradura tour someday, a taste test of the best tequila may be a good video.

I first saw you guys on a Mark Wiens episode and I have been a fan ever since. I'm very happy and thankful to see all these amazing videos of Mexico City food, especially in English and from CDMX natives. You guys are doing great so keep the videos coming! I also can't wait to try many of these places when I visit CDMX for Dia De Los Muertos.

That food looks so amazing. Now I'm hungry. We also liked the seafood tacos at el pescadito. Mexico City is such an amazing place. We ended up staying for more than 2 weeks. We had so much fun there and enjoyed making some videos as well. You should try out the beetles and grasshoppers at Limosneros restaurant (you can have a peek at what it looks like in our vid).

Congratulations on so many subscribers. I'm not surprised that you are getting so many subscribers because you are all somgood at teaching us about the food you have grown up with. It's nothing like the so called Mexican food you get here in New Zealand. I didn't think about making seafood tacos. We either put chicken or minced beef with a tomato based sauce. By the way I think that Agustin, Alonso's brother was great at describing the food, showing us what is in the taco and what it tastes like. I think that he would make a great addition to you channel. Can u guys do an episode on salsa? Theres a salsa blanca i tried at a restaurant here and it wss good af so im sure there are alot of salsas alot of us have never seen that are exclusive in mexico
