    The F30 is the only car that looks good in silver, I'm convinced of it. Mines white and I usually hate silver cars, but whenever I see a silver F30 they always look good.

    I have the 328d, the specs under the hood aren’t the most impressive but I have quickly ignored that for the insane MPG the car gets.

      I had the 535D GT with 300hp. I raced against my buddys f30 320D, he was unsure if its tuned, but it has the M3 diffuser with two exhaust pipes and it says M on alot of stuff inside And sounds really good. Maybe the previous owner did some of it himself. Anyway i do believe it is a bit tuned because it kept up with my 535d GT until 100km/h, not until after that did i start pulling away from him, anyway that made me think alot about why i bought a car that does 34-35 miles per gallons with a 535D badge if its not faster to a 100, i mean i only like fast cars for the acceleration, so the fact my car was faster after 100km/h was pointless to me. so i ended up selling my car and bought my friends car. 60mpg is not far from double as economical. Not as luxury i admit but for a guy with no own family what do i need that big car, my car was 2040kg, this 320D is 1515kg, so we got over 500kg difference. that is two and a half Yamaha R1 from 2001, I own that bike thats why so specific. But just picture that, two and a half of those heavy bikes on the roof of the 320d, thats how much the 535d GT weighs.

    • @DownShiftThrottle

      Hi the earlier N47 engines do suffer from chain issues if they have not had regular 12k oil changes regardless of what the idrive says. Listen out for loud tapping sound. EGR valves always go so make sure these have been done by BMW

      Well.....320d only makes sense if you're doing the miles. Overall it's a better drive compared to the 320i as that is slightly underpowered.....however you could go for the 330i or 330e if budget allows and petrol/hybrid is your preference. Good luck and stay in touch....

      I dont do more than 10,000 miles with odd trip down motorway. Cant afford the 330i so hence I was looking at diesel models. Is it really a problem for diesel engines because of low mileage?

    • @yashmann
      @yashmann 4 года назад

      @@davidx4008 yes and no the diesel particulate filter gets blocked and then that can be expensive to replace. However it shouldn't be that bad legit everyone has a 320d and uses it for city driving but a long blast on the motorway should clear it up. I'll probably recommend at least 1 a month of 40 minute driving on the motorway for a long life for a 320d.

    • @piovo5222

      @@chrisnakampe3612 less problems as the dpf has been removed. Do this if you do short drives. Clean the inlet manifold, remove/blank the EGR, gut the dpf. Doing those you will never have a problem with short drives. Disable the stop start also as that puts excess wear in town driving for no reason really.
