What did you think of the premiere of Fallout?
moo
Nope, light travels faster than sound. You'd see the nuclear explosion long before you heard it or felt the ground shake.
And that's exactly how they depicted it in the show. You see the flash and explosion, then the sound wave and force follows after.
no one else saw the flash because they were taking photos inside, his daughter was the only one to see the flash bc she was outside.
@@howiemandelsassitant Yeah, they were taking photos, all distracted, and it was a really sunny day so a bright light from outside in daytime and that's source isn't too close you might not bother to look thinking the sun just came out behind the odd cloud
Probably not a limited series since Season 2 is most likely happening per several media outlets
Talking about what nuclear explosions look like.
The charges, designed to damage targets on the ground, are detonated above the ground, usually at an altitude of 1-2 km. The first thing you see from a reasonably safe distance is a ball of enormously bright light, described by those who have seen it with their own eyes as "a hundred thousand suns shining at once". These explosions are therefore hard to confuse with "just a big puff of smoke" and even harder to miss.
Note: The explosions on the ground or just below the ground look different.
After the light comes the shockwave. From a hill or tower, you can see it as a shadow (caused by the compressed air in the shockwave) moving towards you, along with a wave of collapsing surface objects (buildings, trees, etc.) where the shockwave passes.
When the shockwave reaches you, you will hear a very loud explosion and feel as if your whole body has been hit by a giant hammer from all sides at once (but mostly from the side of the exploding charge). If you can see anything at that moment, you'll see objects around you collapsing and being blown away by a giant wind, along with your own body.
In short, what you see in the show doesn't exactly look like a massive nuclear missile strike.
Then again, the Fallout franchise isn't exactly known for its scientifically accurate depictions of the real world.
As a big fan of the games IMO is this perfect no is it awesome yes, The squires carrying the huge bag for the knights is a great nod to the games since we players use the companions for pack mules lol
We get chills because our brain knows this can happen one day
really good show and true to the spirit of the games, if not every detail, but you have to allow the makers of the show their own input.
The people in the house were taking photos eating and watching tv facing the opposite direction so its perfectly reasonable they didnt register the flash from the bomb
2:30 This is what we call “Retrofuturism”
damn ur cute, I love fallout, fallout 3 was my first ever fallout game and it just feels like fallout, good job all involved :3
Yeah, FO3 was the first game I played too. As we'll see moving forward, there's definitely a lot of nods to FO4 and New Vegas, but I'm glad that they also incorporated elements and tipped their hat towards the earlier games.
And yeah, Will is a looker for sure lol 😉
50's, not 60's.
