  • Is following the radius really a better way to chop an onion? Chef Kenji Lopez made a super informative video on the topic but as far as were concerned the horizontal cut is here to stay!

I love that KLA did all of that research just for us to know the best way to cut an onion

Just rotate the onion with the root facing towards you and then cut it radially for the other half.

I subscribe to the Gordon Ramsey style. Two cuts parallel cuts with the board. Then straight up and down across for dicing. Then adjust for different thicknesses. Super educational thanks

I am actually more comfortable completing the radial cuts than I am with the horizontal cut. To each his own.

There's always some doofus that comments "the horizontal cut is not necessary!" Hey man, The Sharp boys are legit cooks. Let them cut their effin' onions however they want to cut them.

I do not have a problem matching the angle of the cut all the way around... i hold the onion facing me then when i need to do the other half i just switch hands...
