I have a version of the beer chiller that my wife gave me a few years ago. I've used them occasionally when hosting my kid's birthday parties during the summer. I'll grab a beer out of the refrigerator and put one in. It actually keeps the beer cold. The key is to take a sip first to allow room for the chiller then slowly place it in the bottle until it seals at the top.
Fun video, surprised some of them were actually functional. Any planned updates on the Saratoga location on the horizon? Us upstate New Yorkers are eagerly awaiting.
I’m actually a huge fan of the black and tan tool. If you’re the kind of person that likes to experiment with different layered beers like me, having a tool to standardize your experiments is super helpful.
Great video. However, serious question: When are you going to start distributing your beer to other areas? I'm on Long Island, NY. And Tree House is my favorite brewery of all time. We'd love to be able to actually buy it without having to travel to Massachusetts!
I did not expect to see a can of Boddingtons this morning! Dad used to drink nothing but boddies until they closed the Strangeways brewery and left Manchester, said it hasn't tasted the same since. Now I need to go hunt down a cask bitter somewhere out here in the US...
I used the pop-the-top for years to keep my bottle caps in mint condition. I now have an opener with a wooden handle that doesn't bend the caps that I use.
I was gifted the Draft Top a year or so ago and it's a decent tool. As Nate says, I can appreciate the effort that went into designing it. I am digging these videos. Wish I could get your beer down here in GA (without trades of course 😉)
Does the Draft Top leave you with a floppy can? I imagine it might be easy to apply a little pressure after you’ve cut out the top and crush the beer out of your can. What can you tell us about structural integrity?
@@frederickheard2022 In my experience, the cans maintain integrity but I have only tried with pint cans. It keeps the rim at the top in place and essentially removes the very top. Hopefully that makes sense.
Great review! I frequentely use the Draft Top outside in the summer but the can then goes into a BruMate or Yeti Colster style can koozie which keeps it cold and provides some structural integrity. It makes for a unique drinking experience that simulates using a glass but without needing to bring one along or worrying about breakage. Give it a try!
The ultrasonic foamer might be useful for homebrewers doing traditional bottling from primary. Usually a little CO2 is still in solution, you can put filled bottle on sonic thing, foam it up, cap on foam.
I was thinking it could be really good for PR and marketing departments at breweries. You can quite easily get exactly the level of foam you want for your social media pictures.
I've done this with a regular can opener. Pop the can with the tab and then open. The tab gives you something to grab so the lid doesn't fall in and releases the gas so it doesn't pop when you start opening with the can opener. Works great to add some lime to a Modelo 😄
lol! I got one of these in a prize bag. Same thing, top drops into the beer. * I just gave it another try on a Bootstrap Brewing Lush Puppy. First time the lid didn't come loose at all. I ended up having to squeeze it so hard the can started to twist. And even then, I only got about 3/4 of the lid loose.
Honestly for these prices I am not too against any of these. The super sonic beer foamer is cool lol but just using pouring it yourself also allows you to choose how much head you want too. very cool video though!
That sonic foamer thing looks similar to something Guinness do with some bars that sell cans of Guinness. They have an agitator thing they put the glass on that helps cause that characteristic Guinness nitro cascade look like a traditional draught tap gets.
Can Nate do a video on the Galaxy hop and talk about current state? I have heard so much how the demand has really ruined the crop as of late and I have noticed a huge decline in its potency. I know Tree House leans into Galaxy in some core beers and am curious what his take is.
You mention the date code on the Julius. How long does a beer, kept cold, last before it starts to lose something? it would be interesting to see you tase the same beer new, at 3 months, at 6 months, etc.
Use the bottle opener frequently and you'll discover that all crown caps are not the same size. Larger ones will not fit and smaller ones won't be pulled out.
Instead of "pop the top" bottle opener, I'd just go and buy a whale shark bottle opener. Hand made/looks cool, protects the cap and can get through any wax you throw at it.
Given the number of Americans who self-identify as Irish, you guys really need to understand how offensive black and tan is to the actual Irish. See also: Irish car bomb.

Looking forward to never using any of these products
“I love having to clean more shit up after I’m done drinking” said no brewer ever hahaha
But dude....as brewers, we all have a cleaning addiction that has a quality, on the side, that produces alcohol!!
The pop the top would be great for anyone with disabilities that impact their fine motor skills!
That pour though....masterpiece!
Just use an upside-down spoon...

I love my Draft Top! Cool little tool to use every once in awhile or a convo piece at parties.
Do the sides of the can get flimsy without the top holding them in place?
@@frederickheard2022 not at all. It doesn’t get rid of the full top, just the “inner circle” of the top if that makes sense
Best day of work ever.
😂 I’ve got a few of these as gifts in the past and I’ve used them exactly…….zero times 😂 cheers 🍻
Classic
I'll look forward to seeing all of these stocked in each Tree House location.😉

Nebraska Brewing used to make full top pull tabs. They made good beer and I loved the cans. That gadget for $22 is worth it if its a smooth cut
You are a crack up Nate! Love these vids.

I've used the draft top to make Beer CANdles with some of my favorite beer cans. I didn't trust it enough to drink from the can.
I used the pop-the-top for years to keep my bottle caps in mint condition. I now have an opener with a wooden handle that doesn't bend the caps that I use.
Where did you get that Bodingtons?
I’ve not seen it in the uk for yonks.

The Draft Top is cool. They were on Shark Tank and got a deal. I met the guys at the Big E in West Springfield. Super nice guys!
The draft top tool was cool. If you have to drink from a can at least that allows you to be able to still get your nose inside the can for aroma.
Nate has such a passionate love for julius it’s adorable 😂
fan boi much?

I want to try the Draft Top. I want to try Julius, and Green too. If I ever get to the area, I’ll be there.
sounds good!

One can never have enough gadgets
disagree! Keep it simple
Fun episode!
Drink topless with fine shavings of aluminum in your beer.
Also have fun fishing the top out almost every time😆

These are the gifts you receive when someone doesn’t know what to get you but they know you like craft beer.
haha, you should watch the other video of the same topic on the channel
Freakin' Reviews would be proud!
Are you really a "craft beer lover" if you haven't received one of these for Christmas before? 😅
Fun video!
Sure glad I didn't buy any of these. But of course I wouldn't have in the first place.😂
Great idea Nate!

Nice. Interesting.
Where’s the Fizzics Draft Pour?
Keep making videos bros
you won’t be disappointed !

Sonic Foamer Convert - name of Nate’s new band?!
slash metal for sure
looks like tag sale beer gadgets collection😂
no kidding
You need to test out the Fizzics thing. I wonder if that makes any difference. N

there is a video on the channel on freshness - check it out 🙏🏼
I have one of those icicle things and have never used it 😂 not many bottles these days and even less craft beer.
gadgets for aunts to buy the family’s craft beer guy for Christmas 🤣
@@treehousebrewco haha the accuracy!! 🤣🤣
The cooling sticks - are you not supposed to cool them beforehand? I'd have thought that makes sense a la whisky stones
they came out of the freezer
Right. Wasn't clear in the video. Thanks for the clarification.
@@amrith10 sorry but he literally said at 1:40 that they came out of the freezer
@@aboynts456 I missed it then. Thank you for pointing it out.
NOT even close, the perfect Black and Tan
🫨
Huh, I wonder if you could hack that thing to make a sonic cleaning bath???
Use the bottle opener frequently and you'll discover that all crown caps are not the same size. Larger ones will not fit and smaller ones won't be pulled out.
The two openers could be helpful for people with mobility issues.
Instead of "pop the top" bottle opener, I'd just go and buy a whale shark bottle opener. Hand made/looks cool, protects the cap and can get through any wax you throw at it.
Morning Nate.
You know what else works to pop the top off a beer can? A can opener.
Given the number of Americans who self-identify as Irish, you guys really need to understand how offensive black and tan is to the actual Irish. See also: Irish car bomb.
I would never dare ruin a can a Bodington's (yum yum) with a can of Guinness.
Never tried your beer and live in Michigan. Can you please ship me a some cans lol
Different variables, should have used Julius for both
Sonic, how to make your beer flat before drinking?
😭
I am not a gadget guy. Hate almost all of them when it comes to the kitchen. With these that were reviewed I’d rather spend the money on more Julius!
I'm not familiar with Julius, can you send me a bunch of samples?😅
Cutting off the top of the can is gonna leave you bloated. You need to pour the beer to release all that carbonation.
Sonic head product…so I need to delicately pour my beer to NOT create a head, so I can then use this product to create a head?
😼
Btw…loving the content. Need to get back up to Charlton. Been too long.
your hat should read: "Bring your kids. Bring Your dogs. Pay no attention to any of them. Tree House".
Pour beer hard unless you want to be bloated all the time
Don’t support Amazon.
The “PRO BREWER” in every video title is getting a little lame bro.
he really hasn’t used it much, only when he ranks or reacts to things so people know he is qualified to do so
