Now I own the new Corsa E from 2019, 1.4 with 74KW/ 100 HP. Still didn't test top speed, but it already beat the record of my old corsa with ease!
Everything is just perfect. Look at the roads! The trees perfectly cut. Everything well labeled. Sings that are easily readable. Food that is very high quality.
Nice ride, no wonder it's on Need for Speed Underground! :P You should definitely get into the habit of shoulder-checking before lane changing though - particularly at high speeds, in addition to checking (all) mirrors twice. If someone's travelling at 200, 250, 300+ km/h, they're covering over 50 metres a second (or an average of 10 car lengths per second at 200km/h) so a casual glance isn't really good enough.
Actually shoulder-checking is not recommended on the Autobahn. The time you took to check, the car is already right next to you, so a casual glance is the best option. The longer you look the more dangerous it gets.
Dawm!!! That's nostalgic! I had a corsa c with the 1.2 petrol 5 speed manual. No acceleracion what so ever but the dawm thing top out around 190/200 kph. By the time it gets there with was shaking like a dawn dildo.
i've used the Corsa here in Northern Norway and i can confirm about the acceleration of this nugget hahaha at least it can be fun in low traction conditions with some flicks xD
Something about driving 170 km/h(106 mph) feels like the area between driving fast and feeling comfortable. My highest speed is 210 km/h(130 mph). I probably could have drove 220 to maybe 250 km /h(137-155 mph) but the vehicle has a governor on it limiting it to 210 km/h(130 mph).
I have to say the steering in that little econo box actually seems pretty nice without too much play and whatnot as well as the suspension isnt too soft. Huh who would have thought.
Decent for 60hp! That throws me back when I topped out the Suzuki Swift of my mother with 92 hp at 193km/h on my way from Austria to France, funny little car
Its 4 times the power for twice the speed, only counting air resistance, but hey 240 hp is still pretty small a number considering that high tier SUVs get out that much power

I have the same car, bro. I am from Medjugorje (Bosnia and Herzegovina), place where majority of people are Croats Catolics and who drive older dizel vehicles, mostly imported from Germany. My corsa is from Switzerland, and is rare here with this 1.4 engine. Plenty of them are 1.2, 1.0 or 1.7 cdti engines, which are all good, but not as much as this one. No need to tell you how agile it becomes over 3 200 rpm up to 6000. It is a wild little animal. Recently, I've got attacked by a newer hungry mercedes, while I was driving dinamicaly back home. Since I put some liqui molly aditive in fuel tank, which require to give some gas (keep on higher rpm range). This chase ended up after 7-8 minutes, with me driving to the right side of one line roundabout, and him going on the left side, heh.. where he overtook me. I was happy it was just a fox. Not to be taken wrong, I do let other drivers pass me if they switch left indicator light on to let me know.., if not, - I keep driving by my own. I never put this car on a lunch 0-100kmh (not willing to ruin the clucth), but when I messured its acceleration 70-100 kmh in 3rd,gps race timer says - 3,2s. Even if gps made mistake by part of a second - is quite impressive and quick. Can you tell me, Sjoerd, did you ever try any fully synthetic oil to put in your corsa, and how it was, if you did? I'm currently on mobil 1 10w40 api SL, which is excellent in summer, but not as much in winter time. So I am considering to switch from semi to fully synthetic, maybe 5-w30 or 5-w40 oil..
I'd say anything below 100hp is dangerous to drive on a highway, and especially on the autobahn. It just doesn't have the the power to keep up with the flow of the traffic.

i love old opel's. fun to drive, handles well
Yeah! I have a opel Astra 1.6 2002 and I love driving it! 96 HP 😎
Damn, it looked pretty stable when cruising at top speed. Didn't look wobbly or shaky, engine didn't seem to struggle, that's real nice.
I've got one with 1.7 DTi, topped it on autobahn at 171km/h (gps speed). I noticed that the gauge shows 2km/h more than the gps does.
1.7 DTI very popular in Turkey. We can get about 300 hp for little money.
@@MBT99 I've heard about that but really dislike the amount of smoke coming from the exhaust of a tuned diesel, it's just too much, but the fuel economy is unreal, I will forever remember this car
@@Superkiep a ricer never cares :) yes you can get easiliy +200hp but when it comes to braking, u should start praying.. it is impossible to handle or stop that old 900kg car @240-250kmh
@@Tariksayfon I think it's about 1100 kg as it's a diesel, 1.0 is 900'ish kgs. Anyway with the braking part you meant with or without ugraded brakes?
@@Superkiep yeah, in turkey, braking is useless for some people. So they're not upgrade brakes. That guys has different brains.
Last time i was on a motorway i was driving home from college in my opel corsa C, just i was entering the motorway, kraftwerks legendary autobahn came on the radio. I had always dreamed of it happening on the autobahn itself but an irish motorway will have to do for now...
You : ''Anything goes''
Forza AI : *This.*
I have a four door 2001 3 cylinder corsa C and love it The original CD radio works perfectly. The car is all original. Tilt slide sunroof and even a little built in case above the drivers door to keep my spectacles in.
The mode is COMFORT, and it really is a comfort to me.

Having a speed of traffic of 160 km/h looks so natural. In Canada the speed limit is 100 km/h and its so low it looks like everything is in slow motion
Canada has always been in slow motion.
i drove that opel once, and its very smooth, i really like the smoothess of that car on the traffic
You''re lucky that it's a no speed limit AUTOBAHN
Why was it lucky? If he know there is no speedlimit? I think he know some Autobahns and choosed on purpose this one.
@@flashback0994 i think he means as in some places (like here in Australia) most highways or "autobahns" have a speed limit. he's very fortunate to live in a place where cars can, well, be cars.
@@badboy0510 Okay so he mean that the guy can be lucky to life and drive in a Country where it is allowed to drive that fast? It make sence but i thought he mean it in the other way... but okay whatever.
@@flashback0994 yeah I think he meant hes lucky to have a freeway/highway/autobahn where there is no speed limit 😄 I wish I could take my car here and see how it fairs also!
Love the Corsa. First car I bought was a corsa from 2002, it was a Opel Corsa C 1.2 with 55 kW / 75 HP. Fastest I dared to go was 180km/h , after that the car would just start to vibrate like mad. Now I own the new Corsa E from 2019, 1.4 with 74KW/ 100 HP. Still didn't test top speed, but it already beat the record of my old corsa with ease!
3:36 sounds like impala from the GTA San Andreas :DD
Everything is just perfect. Look at the roads! The trees perfectly cut. Everything well labeled. Sings that are easily readable. Food that is very high quality.
Well its Germany after all, no one takes any shit.
Nice ride, no wonder it's on Need for Speed Underground! :P
You should definitely get into the habit of shoulder-checking before lane changing though - particularly at high speeds, in addition to checking (all) mirrors twice.
Dieser Kanal ist das AutotopNL des kleinen Mannes. Gefällt mir! :)
Dawm!!! That's nostalgic!
I had a corsa c with the 1.2 petrol 5 speed manual.
No acceleracion what so ever but the dawm thing top out around 190/200 kph.
By the time it gets there with was shaking like a dawn dildo.
i've used the Corsa here in Northern Norway and i can confirm about the acceleration of this nugget hahaha
at least it can be fun in low traction conditions with some flicks xD
wow you got the 1.2 big block, I only had the 1.0 :D
This is the one I've been waiting on
Mom.. can we buy a racecar ?
We have Racecar at home...!

Something about driving 170 km/h(106 mph) feels like the area between driving fast and feeling comfortable. My highest speed is 210 km/h(130 mph). I probably could have drove 220 to maybe 250 km /h(137-155 mph) but the vehicle has a governor on it limiting it to 210 km/h(130 mph).
i have the same in Spain with 62k km... with mustard color
Качество дорожного покрытия, скоростной режим, сам опель, все - браво!
Still 170 km/h faster than no car🤷♂️
I have to say the steering in that little econo box actually seems pretty nice without too much play and whatnot as well as the suspension isnt too soft. Huh who would have thought.
The dash font looks exactly like a E36 BMW’s
Decent for 60hp!
That throws me back when I topped out the Suzuki Swift of my mother with 92 hp at 193km/h on my way from Austria to France, funny little car
Schulterblick-Counter:
Error.
Why do i watch this and it somehow makes me happy?
Double the power and you're going 340 km/h
Ah yeah thats how Air resistance work
Its 4 times the power for twice the speed, only counting air resistance, but hey 240 hp is still pretty small a number considering that high tier SUVs get out that much power
For fans who know it, this opel C car is a success.
Watch out AMG, Opel is coming for you, eventually when it catches up with normal speed traffic.
I have the 1.2 twinport with 4 whole cilinders. This man driving that corsa at 170 is braver then I am.

Definitely a very high top speed for a 60hp corsa. Than again its called opel" corsa" for a reason XDD
That BMW Z is so chillin' there...and then the furious 170 kph Corsa passes by.
I would laugh to die at that very moment.

@@sjoerd717 I have a Tigra with the same engine (not stock) and i can confirm that at the 105-110 hp im at, this car surprised a lot of people already of how good this little thing goes. Corsa is lighter so its a lot more fun tho, however im a lot more aerodynamic.
So I am considering to switch from semi to fully synthetic, maybe 5-w30 or 5-w40 oil..
how much displacement does the corsa have? My old Astra F 1.6 75 HP easily managed 200 km / h. That was a great beginner car :)
und jetzt das ganze mit meinem Lupo? xD
Thanks, I was wondering how fast I can go without my engine blowing up 😂
What’s the 5th gear for?
Corsa: YES
This 60 hp car does make you ask the question "do I need that 600 hp Audi?" I'm a car guy but tbh for a daily driver that's all you need right there.
I'd say anything below 100hp is dangerous to drive on a highway, and especially on the autobahn. It just doesn't have the the power to keep up with the flow of the traffic.
@@alekszen92 theres plenty of lanes for all cars, idk if you know how these work

I mean yeah do you really want to turn 90° at 170kmh? 😂
whether you have 60 hp or 600 hp, there's one universal code of usage on the autobahn
you can use all of what you have.
I've got exact same model and when I once reached like 130km/h I was praying for engine to not blow up
I only reach 140 not because it’s not going faster, but I am scared that it will blow up :'D
