One more comment: In 2000, I accepted a teaching position, again NC, in a large city. When I first visited the school, its run-down condition surprised me. Just a few years previously, this school was considered one of the best in the state. When inquiring about this, I was told that once the school was integrated through busing, the new students and parents were pretty much responsible for bringing it down. However, what I eventually found out is that once integrated, funding had been diminished year after year by the county commissioners.

I am a retired classroom teacher. While working on my Masters Degree in Education, I read many of Jonathan Kozols Books. My takeaway was this: Jonathan Kozol described those Aparteid schools and those well-funded schools very vividly. These descriptions made me sick. So, early on in my career, I felt anger with the entire education system in America. I too hated Busing even though I worked in one of those "Aparteid schools". My reasons, in case you asked, for not being a fan of Busing is this: First. If state departments could not find a way to better fund our mainly city schools through those self imposed "Formulas", then something is very wrong. They who made decisions on how much funding schools should receive just did not care about those Aparteid schools. Those rich school districts were drenched in funding. My question was "WHY"? Well. That was a rhetorical question. Next. The idea of sending (Busing) our children to these rich school districts - White school districts for a better education, to me, was ridiculous expecially if those Aparteid schools had the proper funding. Here in St. Louis, Mo. we had/have some of the best teachers in the world, but our families were made to believe that by putting Black/poor children on a bus would automatically mean a better education. Not true. Our children were bused to schools where more educational resources were available. There are some Black teachers, during that period of American History, who really believed that our children were more successful in classrooms that had Black teachers. Some even went as far to say that White teachers had a difficult time teaching our children. So I, like Joe Biden agree with voluntary Busing. I have lots more to say on this subject, but not enough time in this space.

Here we have a real educator, one that has real hands-on experience as a school teacher, an author and a critic of Biden. Biden won't apologize for being on the wrong side of things regarding public education and the need for busing. Mr. Kozol exposes Biden for insisting on maintaining the integrity of the old school system by opposing busing or any semblance of education integration related our school system. He finds Biden's position of having different ethnicities in a classroom "offensive and ignorant." This, from an 82-year-old educator who's been around longer than Biden and who knows all too well the hypocrisy behind Biden.

In the South in which I grew up (NC, 50s-60s), in day to day life, whites did not call other white males, regardless of age, "boy". This happened only if the white person was accusing the other white person of being, what then was openly called, a "n----r lover". If a white adult called another white adult "son", it was a not so subtle put-down. All black males, regardless of age, were called "boy" by whites. All blacks, regardless of age, addressed whites either "sir" or "ma'am". These were the rules. Exceptions were few, far between, and completely dependent on context. I did not see this begin to change in rural areas until the 70s.

So serving as vice-president to the first African-American president doesn't supersede many of these concerns? This is a strange conversation.

No. Did you not notice how indignant 'Dr. Jill' was at having to play second fiddle to Michelle? lol! Joe Biden was and is a person with no motive but ambition, and no moral compass at all.

Joe's garnering republican moderates, and independent voters too. He's the moderate that can get votes from across the board. You tossed Al Franken out for not doing anything, Joe won't go so easily.
