I currently live here in the Philippines. I been here for a few years now. Sorry to give you the heads up but Filipinas don’t really date foreign men. The only girls willing to date foreign men are leftovers eg single mom, chubby or old worn out women. Women pinoy men don’t want. The large cities Metro Manila, Cebu and Davao are the worst for dating…..,the women have jobs, or their family own a business or they have family members working in another country and sending money back. So yeah. Only financially desperate girls will date a foreigner
Also Thailand is a bargaining culture and the Philippines won't bargain. In Thailand i got a brand new resort on the beach, gorgeous. I got the rate per night from the guy. Then i said ok what if I stay for a week can i get a better rate? He says yes and gives me a rate. Then i said ok what if i stay 2 weeks? I ended up getting it down to $16/night beautiful new building with great pool right near the beach.

It is easy to meet woman in the Philipinnes so if she doesnt show you can always find another one or just have some fun in the bars if you are up to that. I notice some similarities with the phillipines and mexico, which is where I am at the moment. Perhaps it is related to the previous spanish colonial rule. There are cultural similarities, such as very strong family values. People are also generally very friendly and social in mexico, and it seems the same in the philipines. In mexico the form of communication is a bit more indirect compared to in english speaking countries. Also in mexico there is a lot of scammers, and theives too. Don't get me wrong, there are tons of good mexicans, but a lot of mexicans don't really see a big problem with taking advantage of a situation or lying. So obviously thai people are really more honest in comparison, and I like that.
Most signs in Thailand have Thai and English written together. Including the food menu, there are 2 languages. Not all Filipinos speak English. For example, Thai people also do not all speak English. Plus, those who speak English speak with a British accent that isn't very good.

No difference between the Philippines and Thailand... it's all the same when you're bringing them up to watch some Netflix on the tv.. then good ole Scotty boy decides give them a "load" before showing them the exit..
You should probably mention in your Thailand vs. Philippines comparison that Thailand is way bigger than the Philippines just to provide context, Bangkok alone is about 2.5 bigger than manila therefore has way more choices and just a bigger economy in general. Economically Thailand will always be richer that the Philippines just due to geography and therefore resources and accessibility, their GDP is bigger and thus are able to afford more opportunities for better quality and higher standard facilities that your western viewers look for in third world countries.
There's more affordable. You'll save more in Chiang Rai or even one of the big four in Isan. Settle somewhere not cemented on tourist trails and you'll get cheaper still. The less foreigners you see and the more Thai you speak, the cheaper things will be. For me it's hard to beat the North.

Dating in both Philippines and Thailand are horrible. The women don’t like foreign men. You will only get left overs , women that the local men don’t want eg single mom, chubby , older worn out women or a prostitute”. Oh I forgot Thailand is probably worse because the lady boys are everywhere and some are very aggressive. Also most foreigners and Thai women are transactional relationships. Visit both and walk the malls and look at the quality of women that foreign men are with. Hehehe

LOTS of similarities in environment.. but thailand is much bigger.
Thailand wins in almost every category. Infrastructure, world class foods, great healthcare, easy to get around entire country without flying or boats, more multicultural many more people from other countries, they dont have the noise pollution aka dogs barking and roosters, also animals are not mistreated in thailand like in Philippines. shall i continue they are a first world culture not 3rd world like Philippines, women don’t have Compo, so much begging on the streets driving me nuts. Philippines is fun to island hop and get out.

@Wesley Stevens That sounds perfect. I am Puerto RIcan. Lived in front of the beach in Puerto Rico. Live in Tampa, Florida now. 10 minutes to the beach. Haven't gone once to the beach in 3 years lol Chiang Mai sounds absolutely lovely to me. Thanks!
Did you mention the better tourist visa in Thailand? 6 weeks vs 4 weeks for PH
Ph is 3 years. You get 6 weeks? I only got a month in Thailand
Tell your Irish friend Scotty that prices will continue to double as long as they call the city Dublin!☘️🇮🇪😂
I see what you did there!
Hey Brother. Just returned to Japan after 3 weeks in the Phils (will probably miss you in March.) Been to Thailand many times (cave diving.) You hit the nail on the head, spot on. I'll be back in the Phils all summer because of my babe, and because it's much easier to communicate in the Phils than in Thailand. There will always be pros and cons - like better infrastructure in Thailand, cleaner streets, etc. and yes, we looked at houses to rent in the Phils and they didn't even bother to clean them for show... but for me, what it comes down to is the people in the Phils are so friendly.
Yes my friend, exactly right
@M J Well... or honest political leadership. That sets the tone for all that follows.
Toxicity of western people spread everywhere Lol
I'm afraid if many western people in Thailand, it will becime messy. The behavior thr concieted attitude, .KNOWS NO BOUNDS
@mj405 I'm thai, I'm afraid of your attitude. I hope it will not spread in my country.. We Thais don't like humiliations towards others..WE CAN UNDERSTAND EASILY THA NO COUNTRY IS PERFECT.
Its okay to compare without humiliation and descrimantion others. Thats the reason why western countries are falling because of hatred. And we don't want to happened that in Thailand.
In Manila I used an app called Grab to call a taxi. This way no one can rip you off. Never had a problem.
I have to agree with you. Renting a place in Thailand is so much nicer and cheaper.
220 are you in quezon city?
"Good quality" in The Philippines isn't the same as good quality in Thailand though.. I'm paying 15k php for a very small and basic place in Davao which is supposed to be a decent development but the whole place is falling apart despite just being a few years old.... I definitely wouldn't want to own anything here (not that condo's are great in Thailand either but generally, the quality for the price is better...).
Great video as always!

Thailand has just shot themselves in the foot trying to please everyone...whilst only pleasing one country. Many will lose their holidays due to this decision. So at the moment, this Philippines will win hands down
The Infrastructure and overall customer service in Thailand is 10 x better then the Lovely but inefficient molasses paced Philippines ! although ....there are some equally Wait, wait, wait and then wait some more places of business like Immigration,Government Hospitals, Department of motor vehicles, walk in medical clinics just to name a few ..... but I still love both places and just go with the flow always !

Dont listen to this bum, he is definitely over-generalizing, probably has no game whatsoever, and is a total pass for most women in general.

With all the rain we still get over 8 million tourists per year in Ireland 🇮🇪

Hello.. New Subscriber here.. When is your plan to go back here in Philippines..
Hi in early March. You heading there too?
I live in Manila and only got ripped off by a taxi here one time about 5 years ago before I was living here I got ripped off by a "Private Taxi" service from the Manila airport but that was it....And I paid him in small usd bills so it was probably difficult for him to exchange it for php...lol
Yup tom those taxi are gonna be the downfall. Your not the only one who complain.
Thailand has plenty ATM's; safer; cleaner; quieter( fewer roosters)quality medical and dental; goods in stock; 7-11 everywhere; exoticism; fewer hitmen; cheaper better housing; fewer loser foreigners; taller women; better internet; fewer brownouts, et cetera.
I'm flying into Manila next month, I'm going to meet a girl if only talked to online. I'm worried, I can think of a thousand scenerios where this could go wrong. If she ghosts me when I land, I don't know what I'm going to do. Is there any Westerner ANYWHERE who might meet me for coffee and school me a little when I get over there?
That's one of the biggest concerns of mine also. What I've learned from some of these vloggers is always have your own place, at least for the 1st visit, so you have an escape plan.
Filipinos are "passive aggressive " towards foreigners. They just pretend to be friendly and welcoming.
Also Filipinas don't date foreigners unless she is a "single mom, chubby or old and worn down". Basically foreigners get leftover women Filipino men don't want!
Most foreigner gf and wives are a 3 and below, especially in the cities eg Metro Manila, Cebu and Davao.
Foreigners probably do better in the province if they are willing to financially support the girls family.
Hope this helps.
Also that girl will probably be hitting you up for money 24/7.
You also going to have to pay for everything including for her family. Hehehe. You been warned
@@Imold774 wow. That's brutal
If she ghost you what i doubt in my experience filipinas are not like western woman where there is a much bigger chance they will not turn up. But if she do, you can always go to places like Angeles,Olongapo or maybe a little bit nicer with beaches puerto galera area sabang is a nice place where there are a lot of tourist. It is easy to meet woman in the Philipinnes so if she doesnt show you can always find another one or just have some fun in the bars if you are up to that. It is very easy and cheap to travel around most of filipino speak english so you can always ask and there are plenty of hotels to find with decent prices like 1500 to 2000 peso a night. Anyway goodluck.
Stack the deck. Always have multiple options lined up
Hi from albuquerque BOHOL SB SIR IV BEEN HERE NOW FOR 36 MONTHS & I understand maby 30% of what these people are saying there are different dialects of english
Love them both! ❤️
Yes, but Thais don't want or like foreigners living in their country and some are super hostile and straight out xenophobic.
To stay in Thailand long term is super hard and a huge headache. You will have to report to immigration every 90 days like you are a criminal on probation.
To stay in the Philippines long term its super easy. You don't have to report to immigration every 90 days.
Filipinos are super welcoming to foreigners and go the extra mile to be nice to you.
It's a lot easier to integrate to to a Filipino family after you marry their daughter and sister than a Thai family after you marry their daughter and sister.
If you want a combination of the best that Philippines and Thailand has to offer minus the red light districts, go to Malaysia.
Lived there for 1 year. Was the best experience I ever had.
Both countries have its own beauties and imperfections..
I was listening to a interview on the etymology of words and they said Bangkok means; a small port for seamen. Bing says a village on a stream.
i don't think you did research well in Thailand. we have many Apps to call for taxis. for example Grab, Lineman, Cabb ,Bolt , Gojek, true Ryde, Bonko. Also we have best transportation that could reach to the airport without taxis by airport rail link. as well as Metro MRT,BTS, BRT and coming next this year is LRT.
+1
Hi all,
Are there any city (cities) in Thailsnd which resemble Cebu?
In terms of English speaking and fast infrastructure and Business development, and safety/security.

Good question. I'd have to say pattaya or more specifically the jomtien area next to pattaya

thank god we have uber here in vancouver now! but i hate how sometimes there's no driver so you have to keep waiting. new sub here. i miss the philippines, been here since 89. but i do go back once and a while, got a place in eastwood and it aint even furnished. oh i have a bed and a dining table lol. then covid happened. havent found time to go back. maybe next year! Oh yeah Uber in Manila! i used that everywhere. Best thing to use when you're wasted lol
Uber is now in Vancouver Canada??
Grab is Awesome! Use it everywhere you can in the Philippines.
This is the most honest comparison ever i also hate the taxi in Philippines
Most signs in Thailand have Thai and English written together. Including the food menu, there are 2 languages.
Not all Filipinos speak English. For example, Thai people also do not all speak English. Plus, those who speak English speak with a British accent that isn't very good.

Compare and Contrast - not your usual with all the walking around videos.
I like your channel as it's more on the lines of a face to face sit down story telling (with the odd photo and Google maps video).
But this one is more on the lines of the other vloggers, who are "all picture and no "real" content".
At least you kept the content going - don't ever lose that - that's what makes your channel different and unique.
From a guy in Dublin, Ireland - thank f**k I don't rent here ...... lol
Give all the credit to Thailand! You leave us all alone and go there 🎉👍
100% agree on housing in Thailand but the friendliest ppl are the Vietnamese 👌Its like the Philippines will rent you crap same price for what you pay for quality condotel in Bangkok 😆 Vietnam maybe 20% cheaper than Thailand you can read the writing but the visa sucks 👌khx khx Kuhn
Those places need nice living places, cause those countries themselves suck, and the people there are trash, so the accommodation makes up for it for alot of you
Piparunies😂😂😂💗👍
one exception to this is bora to many hotels and a cap on tourists keeps prices low and quality up

No difference between the Philippines and Thailand... it's all the same when you're bringing them up to watch some Netflix on the tv.. then good ole Scotty boy decides give them a "load" before showing them the exit..
Hey joe were u going. We’re u from. Welcome to the Philippines. Giggle giggle sir I’m so hungry can u help.
I totally agree with you. Your comparison is fair. Adding medical and banking system would favor Thailand.
Unfortunately for phils that's totally right
Why is Thailand called land of smiles hmmm
I hear Chiang Mai is the most affordable city in Thailand
its bigger than people think too. Almost a perfect city to live in as a foreigner except for the dang visa situation.
There's more affordable. You'll save more in Chiang Rai or even one of the big four in Isan. Settle somewhere not cemented on tourist trails and you'll get cheaper still. The less foreigners you see and the more Thai you speak, the cheaper things will be. For me it's hard to beat the North.
Im a coin buyer and Ill tell you never did a Filipino rip me off on a coin purchase, Filipina sellers, thats another story.
Hahah can't trust the babes
I think feminism is higher in Thailand 🇹🇭 I get way more Tinder matches in the Philippines like Double !
Phil culture is closer to west. English, Christian, pop music.. Marrying Thais, Chinese require dowry, not in Phils.
Good point very true
@mj405 She does that if she has a job.. And Thais, Colombians don't do that?? Ha??
Been having a hard time deciding between PI and Thailand, on where to rent an apartment for a couple of months and I believe you just swayed me to Thailand. Thank you Scotty for the information.
Hehehe
go to africa to get a 2 for 1 special, something like sudan.

im filipino on vacation in thailand bangkok. i can say there more similarities than differences. so much so that they say Thailand is a twin sister of the philippines.
when i was walking along pattaya i was approach by a freelancer.. she talk to me in Thai language she taught im thai. i said im a Filipino.
she laughed and surprise.. filipino and thai same.same. i said .. yes same.same but different. she laughed. philippines have bars. massage. traffic. building design seems same. roads. night market. street vendors. street foods.
but thailand has good night market and street food than manila. bigger bars. large massage parlor. money rate is .50cents larger in favor of thailand. almost EQUAL. exchange. yes i can say ..
Phils wins in all categories 👍
Love this channel. Very interesting and love the delivery. Keep the sex stories coming and this channel will explode.
