A trick I do is precook the peperoni first so it's crispy and you don't get the oil slick on top. I get my pizza dough and sauce from Winco foods. They have everything to do it yourself. I use a pizza stone on my weber gas BBQ
We love HF dough. Although it’s now $4.99 per 640g/22.5ounce ball. It’s same dough HF makes their in-house 16” pie with. It’s delicious but a little pricey.
I was literally looking at wholefoods pizza dough yesterday.. thanks for the honest review...i'll try dough from scratch one day.... but for now...wholefoods will do!
Dude! Thanks for posting. I've been following a homemade pizza dough recipe for some time and decided to try WF dough last week for the first time and we loved the taste and texture right out of the oven. There are no instructions unfortunately so I googled some and went with letting the dough come to room temp for about an hour. I did the same last night with this weeks pizza, and one would NOT stretch for the life of me. So frustrating because I live far from WF and the dough is 4.99. My confidence went down because of yesterdays experience. Any tips or suggestion? Thx. SA,TX
Trader Joe’s pizza dough is really good. I’ve try several methods of cooking the pizza and have found using a cast iron skillet in the oven gives me best result. Although their all good! Thanks for your vid
Thank you for making this video, it has helped me a lot today...I'm testing out the HEB Central Market pizza dough ball right now; is Sprouts whole foods now? Sprouts has a $5 pizza kit I want to test out as well. Cheers. 😇🥰🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇
I don’t like the added stabilizers they add to the store-bought dough. I bought some from Hannaford and it had ingredients I couldn’t recognize. Home-made is definitely healthier.
I just made my first pizza dough, double fermentation. Don’t know why I chose that recipe. It’s now in fridge for another 24 hours. What a pain. Never again. I’m actually making the dough to make calzones. Don’t have a pizza oven yet. Want to get a Roccbox. Anyway, I really enjoyed your video.
Trader joes is $1.50 for 450 g. I do 300g dough balls, so $3 for 3 10-12" pizzas. It really works extremely well. Cooked 20 pizzas for 30 people yesterday there's no way we were going to make our own dough

Useful info. Thanks for sharing.
Given I typically do a 48-hour cold ferment, nice to know Whole Paycheck will work in a pinch.

I’m a fan of the WF dough. It’s like $2.50 at my store. Easy to stretch. Close enough in flavor that I debate if it’s worth making me own
its like $4.99+taxes now, sad to see it
Thanks so much. Just picked up a Roccbox and this video is exactly what I needed. Blessings to you.
This is great! Inspired to grab some dough from Whole Foods soon and try this out

Good video! Really entertaining
Thank you!
Thank you for doing this experiment. Where can I find your pizza dough recipe? Thanks :)
Have you tried a 3/8 inch pizza steel in a home oven? I’m curious if it makes a big difference
Found you on IG. Good stuff.
Now it is $4.99 where I live
Thank you I’m gonna buy it now
Great video... thanks
I use Walmart dough is pretty good for $1.75
Super useful info
The pizza dough from Walmart is 10x better and less than 2.00

Aldi Pizza Dough ....Publix Pizza Dough
Not too crazy about this dough. Will not be using it again.
Its the same dough we make the pizza with FYI
Trader Joe's is pretty good
I made pizza with this dough tonight. It is OK, but not as good as Trader Joe's.
It’s $6 now, 2 years later double price
❤❤❤
Here to report that wf dough had my pizza tasting like cafeteria school lunch. I then made dough from scratch and the difference is night and day!
