- Enjoy watching the world’s fastest and most powerful snowmobiles and turbo charged, supercharged and nitrous oxide fed 190 mph drag sleds go head to head at the biggest event of the year, the Super Sled Shootout from US 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, Michigan. Watch top speed, high horsepower Yamaha, Polaris, Skidoo, Arctic Cat and more snowmobiles compete in the Pro Outlaw, Pro Stock Two Stroke, Pro Stock 800 and Bracket Racing categories. There is simply no other event like this in the world. Drag sled racers from all over North American show up to try to win their sport’s version of the NHRA US Nationals. In Pro Stock Two Stroke Edwin Wirbel, Greg Thomas, Scott Hagen and NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle racer Brian Pretzel battle it out. In this class you are allowed up to 1,020 c.c.s, naturally aspirated with a minimum ski and rider weight of 650 pounds. In Pro Outlaw we will see top qualifier and best appearing sled winner Chris Homrich, Rob Lowe, Tom Hoffman, Nick Cash, Justin Plank, Cody Levasseur, Justin Prevost, Dan Lajeunesse, and J. Lenker battle in this unlimited, run what ya bring, turbo, nitrous and supercharged class. The record is held by “Money Train” at 4.58 at 161 mph. We then turn our attention to the well attended Pro Stock 800 class which features OEM chassis, 816 c.c.s max and a minimum rider and sled weight of 650 pounds. This old school class is designed to be more affordable than some of the other heads up categories. In Pro Stock 800 we will see top qualifier Kurt Schultz who has found success in many forms of racing, Dwayne Thomas, Emilee Anger, C Bishop, Chris Ferragamo, Alan Dibler, Mike Winger, Johnny Selgot, Kenny Grossi, Carl Cichetto, C Dolan, R Aylward, Marco Philppon, Brad Noyes, Roger Beguregard and Billy Alexander battle for the event win. We pick up action in the semifinals in the bracket racing category as D Becker, B Beuthin, Aaron Roscizewski and Paul Kerr battle. We also hear more about this great event from Jamie Bellman of Bellman Oil. We also ask you if this is something you would like to try. Enjoy and share the Dash for Cash / Super Sled Shootout!

Thanks donut media for telling me how fast snowmobiles can be.
😂 I’m here for the same reason
Facts thats why I'm here
Me too lol
I guess im not alone... Donut brought me here
Lol
It'd be interesting to see one of these snowmobiles actually in the snow.
Just find some video, there is a ton of videos of snow drag racing lol
@@Ytfrot I did and they are insane in the snow!
@@Jack-tu5zf they are still set up different
@@roccoseals7753 Well yeah, one's on the drag strip, the other on snow but they both deliver amazing power.
Did you watch to the end? The guy that one Outlaw class, when asked what's next, he says "switch it over for snow racing".
Who’s here after donut
yep
yup
Someone get Larry Enticer on one of these bad boys.
I'm Just gonna send it!
Eric peppy or Ronnie Mac 😏🤘🏼
Gunna fuggin send it
It's amazing to see what the sport has evolved into. I was the first person to ever run a snowmobile at Martin dragway in the spring of 1999. My 98 SRX trail sled ran 10.60s in the qt with a bone stock motor, trail clutching, Bender skid and skies...
anyone else here because of donut media?
Same
Yessir😂
same😂
I was fully expecting that first guy to respond "I don't know, I'm just gonna send it!"
C-Note Mac. Oh ya bud like Larry enticer. Just fukin send it but. O heal ya bud
🤣👍🏻
Isnt a sled supposed to slide on snow
spunkflunk holy fuck i used to watch you all the fucking time
Yes but the way they ride no
They had wheels in most the skis if you look closely. And the track on the end is all terrain
@@BigpapamoneymanMVPtypebeat so it's basically just a weird ass four wheeler and not a snowmobile?
@@yeboidustin8725 more like a ATC (all terrain cycle) but no technically , just a snowmobile with tires. Rollerski’s by qualipieces are used a lot , different then these ones, they go up and down depending weather your on pavement or snow
I love how that team cheers when they actually lost but real drag racing rules. Its not about who leaves the line first, its about the fastest time
1:24 how many Lowe's could Rob Lowe rob, if Rob Lowe could rob Lowe's?
Underrated comment 😂
I used to drag race professionally back in the 70s. Arcticcat. We did great.
nobody:
my mind: turbo 700hp conveyor belt
Nobody? RUclips 'Factorio'... that entire community
@@beastinahalfmode i wonder how many furnaces i would need to saturate a 700hp conveyor belt
Southern Riderz fuckin Amazon workers won’t even know what hit em
😂
I love watching snowmobile drag racing
Imagine how fast those tiny front wheels are turning at the big end!
I wish they would of had this going on in my hey day. What an awesome sport. Keep on racing.
At this point these aren't even snowmobiles
add skis and a track with cleats and they will tear shit up
Jeremy Solem right 😭
@@trillrifaxegrindor4411 well no duh but with all the mods and shit I don't even count them as snowmobiles
@Alien Max I know they can go on snow but with all the mods I personally don't count them as snowmobiles anymore
I think same about cars. Building one for drag just ruins perfectly good machine and at worse, destroy peace of history. Whole frame is made from tube, engine probably brand new and everything is reinforced and there is nothing but skin left from stock car... can you really call that car anymore?
Pretty much why i dont like even historic class rallying as little slip and whole car is mangled beyond recognition.
Holy crap! :o Nice times! Snowmobiles are faster than bikes because they are 2 strokes 💪🏻
Nope there are 2 stroke motorcycles running nitro methane and they are very fast as well ! The sleds are faster because of the contact patch is bigger and the traction is crazy !!
I've gone 125 a couple times and these guys are getting up there in 5 or 6 seconds, with no bodywork. Crazy.
I actually really like your coverage of these races, great job bud!
Next year they'll be running boats here, propped up on supermarket shopping carts!
I was running my Nitrous Harley Sportster at the All Harley Drags in Lakeland Florida about 10 years ago, when the snowmobiles started up. The majority of the people there, native Floridians had no idea what the SHREAKING noise was or even what a snowmobile was, LMAO, but I grew up in New England and knew right away. It was a real treat and very competitive racing. Thanks for the video. 🇺🇸💪🇺🇸💪🇺🇸
It looks like all of the "heads up" races are 1/8 mile and the brackets are 1/4 mile. Excellent job of the play by play, really enjoyed it.
Thanks, description sucks so bad I had to guess the length.
The commentator doesn't say either
Prostock 800 & outlaw was 1/8 mile. Prostock 2 stroke was 1/4 mile. Prostock 4 stroke was also 1/4 mile but they didn't show that for some reason.
4 second runs? Damn these things are fast. So these sleds are actually a tad quicker than the drag cycles? That's insane!!
More snowmobile behind the scenes shots / under the hood shots, more interviews with riders and mechanics / owners, always good stuff. Great video overall. Thanks
@Jay McKay 'You're' stupid, stupid.
Shout out to James Pumphrey
Man those sleds are fast, great coverage.
long time no see heavy mod sled racing, used to have them in sudbury but due to insurance issue was cancelled..Rigor..Canada
This is AWESOME!! I have never seen this before!
0:28 edwin seems real bright. game on as fast as you can get there, they are fast. he didnt even really answer the questions but made statements you would expect a 5 year old to make.
I had no idea that this was even a thing LOL. How did this end up in my feed?
Some of the hardest launches you can ever see
Some blistering times there. Never saw much drag of any kind till Dec 18. Cleetus McFarland, then some top fuel. What ? Nuther good'n, much appreciated for first time viewing. Blew me away thanks :)
Love these crazy people
Hey no snow so what
Put small wheels in the ski
RACE is ON!!
5:29 "The Hagen crew goes *WILD* they love it!"
cuts to a bored crew lmao
Dude I'm half way through and you have so smashed it, great video, culminating with the sponsor's daughter but just great drag races, love to see the lights more, gets weird without it.
You do a really good job with your commentary and interviewing the participants. Glad I found this channel.
Again I just live the sled races!! Kicking myself why I never tried the asphalt racing .but I think ice would hook up just as well as this , had 320 carbide 1” drag spikes in our track , rules say we needed a 4 foot by 4 foot, 12 gauge “spike catcher” at starting line , to bad I can’t post some pics of our sleds
5:30 the hagen(?) go wild lol
Yes I would do that in a heartbeat and yes my dad does it on the ice he’s got a MXX 583 1998 and that thing flies because he got a Lotta help from my cousin Randy Burroughs the legend the best there is to me when it comes to snowmobile‘s God bless you and your family God bless the world
My boy Nick Cash out there doing work💪🏻🏁💯
Rob Lowe drag races snowmobiles. That's crazy.
This is the most American thing that I've ever seen
North American*
@@kevinyankee2 no
@@broughttoideas Yes.

@@irishclown66 Couldn't agree more.
the hagen crew goes wild.. no one going wild
Shout out from livonia Michigan
Never knew this was a sport but I’m hooked now
5:30 🤣 not one single soul going wild 😂
When the first guy said midland I felt included
Near the GTA area too ???
i didn't know this was even a thing. at least it's covered not far from my town lol.
It’s crazy how far these came in the 1/8th mile after watching snow outlaws
We grass drag and ride turbo Yamaha sidewinders in winter, on snow!! A real blast!
I raced in 1995 my 600xlt special...I love the smell of 2cycle engines
Hell yea! I'm looking for parts for my sled right now, because it doesn't snow in NJ anymore!
It used snow there? ... also just find a RUclips video for how to weld the wheels on properly or acquire the parts and pay a body shop to do it for you, people do it a lot in Canada 🇨🇦
115 mph is the fastest I ever went on sled and that felt crazy fast I can only imagine what 150 feels like
Cool Stuff. I grew up with Snowmobiles!! I would have loved to try this!! We did do some uphill drags!!
No Problems with Traction on the Sleds!
Didn't know this was a thing. Thanks Donut.
4:33 your welcome
Boy that's an awfully nice bumper sticker you got there!
Great video,but I'm a "hay daze": fan!
This is taking the saying "pavement princess" to a whole new level
holy fuck 155mph in a sled god damn love to see that actually hit in the snow
There slower in the snow , plus they had special skis with wheels in them, if you look carefully in some shots you can tell
I imagine that if two people decided to drag race their motorized wheelchairs, eventually it would turn into a specialized sport like this.
hey ...if you can build a 6 sec 1/8 mile wheelchair i would come watch you send it!
Now I've seen everything.
Naaa.... they do this on water too.
@@xxxhoodooxxx I take my words back then! haha :D
I want to see drag sled tug of wars 🤪
Watching from CT, very little snow here - but the video is great to watch. Would be nice to find the right video angles and shots to show viewers how fast and crazy it is to race at that level. The straight shots from behind help some, but it all can look similar after awhile. Need someone at the half-way point, AND SOMEONE AT THE FINISH LINE :) to somehow catch the sleds when they cross the line.
Just throw some drag slicks on it and get some wheelie bars…
honestly lol
This guy sounded like the guy from the Ram Ranch
Thanks UTI for showing me this exists.
Seeing the band playing for 4 girls made me laugh. Good times.
Ayyy that's my home town baby
Burn outs suck but the excitement is awesome
Shoutout Canada 🇨🇦... would be cool to see some Russian or German set ups
I saw a drag sled in a recent Cleetus McFarland video, so I had to come check these out.
Definitely faster then the 340 cc Yamaha I was bombing around on as a kid in Greenland.
Best example of knowing the tree i have ever seen those boys got that tree in there pocket ....... change it up make it more competitive start on green
Awesome video from Oshkosh Wisconsin
The haygon crew goes wild!! Them ya a nother win 😐😐
mmmm i love the smell of 2smokers!
Hell ya Id ride one! It honestly looks easy good traction no wheelies and they go straight
Gets sketchy after 80mph. But its Damn fun
A friend and I took our dirtbikes to a lake where they raced snowmobiles. It was an open practice day. I had a 250 yamaha , my friend had a 125 Kawasaki. Against racing snowmobiles, we were lapping them on our dirtbikes every 2 and half to 3 laps. Ice bikes haul ass.
that looks awesome ......and would be fun to own and race one of these sleds..
Hell yeah I would try that in a heartbeat 🤣
Yes I would any time any day
The loan dancer at the end

Shit, we had an Arctic Cat snowmobile back in the late 80's that would do 120+ mph. We bought it from a guy who used to drag race it across the lake up in Garrett County MD, which is Deep Creek Lake. Another guy had a snowmobile we was going to buy, and that fucking thing would pop a wheelie in the snow, that bitch was fast as hell! The guy was a heavyset guy, he took me for a ride on it, I could barely get enough arm around his fat ass to hold on, and when he got into that throttle, I thought I was going to fall off! We had 7 snowmobiles at one time, I miss riding them. I should have done this kind of shit back then.....I even thought about putting a motorcycle engine in a go cart back in the 80's, which would have been way before anyone else thought about it, at least that is know of.
7:04 Cody Won? Not hardly, a major red light in the left lane. Right lane the winner, Nice one, Justin.
God I would LOVE to get a chance to race one of these!
WTF???
I’m guessing Summer Ice Fishing is the next new sport.
Id like to see some of these teams come to Alaska and race in the iron dog race. The worlds longest toughest snowmobile race.
these are not cross country sleds you knucklehead.......they would smoke your iron dog teams on ice drags for sure tho....
God damn they're fast! WoW
The times are for the full quarter,
The steerable Retractable ski dolly with radial ball bearings and a pair of 5 inch wheels from Cousin for street driving snowmobile.
Martian speed way! Not to far from me, wish I would have knew bout this!
Lets be honest the galaxy snowmobile looked sick!
Thank you
Awesome stuff here
Love it hope you do more of it
Nice sleds and damn those ladys r bautiful man oh man let her rip boys gonna be builting a phazer two here in a few weeks
I would've thought these sleds would just destroy the track for the cars next weekend. But hey. What do I know.
Crotch rockets of death is more like it😆😆
You know the black rug like thing under the snowmobile is made to cool the engine
Looks like a supercharged soap box racer
Lol no wonder when you go to the drag strip, all the cars & bikes hate the "snowblowers", as they're called up-here (Montreal). Compared to launching a bike and trying to keep it in a straight line and the front wheel on the ground, the 'driver' on these is just along for the ride.
