We are so spoiled these days with both of these turbo platforms. I've looked at all of these chutes over the years and NEVER said "someday". Camera does not do this justice and you can say all day that the sleds make it easy or the conditions were good but, you have to commit to it and that's the struggle for most of us. The consequence is real and my hat is off to both of you guys for sending it! Love the content, keep it coming!
FIRST TIME I SAW THESE CHUTES AND MY BUDDY SAID PEOPLE CLIMB THEM I DIDNT BELIEVE HIM. WASNT TOO LONG AGO YOUD NEED A FULLY BUILT 4 STROKE TO CLIMB THESE. ITS INSANE WHERE THESE NEW STOCK 2 STROKE MACHINES CAN GO
With you riding Matt, I honestly don't think that there is a chute, peak, or drainage that you can't conquer. Your skills make it look so easy, and that only comes with talent, patience, and experience.
It was the videos of climbing chutes around Revelstoke that made me amazed by snowmobiles 15ish years ago. Truly mind blowing that stock sleds are that capable now.
Love seeing chute content again! Used to love watching Laird McDougall, Shane Render and the creekwerx guys climbing content. So happy to see it again!!
I'm just an old Flat lander trail rider. Love your videos, the shit you and your buds do is crazy. If I was 20 years younger I would love to try and ride like you all do. Keep on Braaaaping
That was awesome to watch!! I watched Mainjets yesterday and yours had a totally difference vibe than his. Same content, just shows your story telling is a lot more polished. Great job.
You guys made it look so easy. I know it's not easy for sure. Snow conditions make all the difference. Awesome work keep the videos coming like them every day
Fantastic video. I’ve watched the Laird McDougall chute videos many times and these new sleds just make it look easy (but I know it takes a lot of skill and nerve). Regarding the cheat code comment I think the track length and power offer safety and capability that are totally useful for many riders. I’m not an expert rider but I’m riding a ‘23 Summit Expert X 175” and I love the flotation and traction for the kind of riding I do.
Yeah for sure, I’ve watched them quite a few times too. Not much skill honestly haha snow conditions at the moment also make it quite easy. Yea I do agree with you that the longer sleds offer some safety. The short tracks with 185 hp come back over on you very easy
Almost 100k subs man!! Your videos have honestly helped me to become a better rider, watching your body position, throttle and lines help so much. I implement what I see you doing and it has helped a lot!! OH and your stucks, how you get out of them has helped too!! So much great info from a great rider!
I’ve watched all your videos this year, love them! One question what software do you use to edit your videos. Seems like you are able to get them done fairly quick. It’s nice having content to watch every day. Thanks Matt
Thanks Matt love your content, I am a potato farmer down here in Idaho and I spend most of my winters sledding as well. I am on the 22 free ride turbo 165 so it was good to see some footage of the GEN five, 165 turbo Keep up the good work
Man jeez a just saw this video and then I realized thas felix was mentionned in this video, he’s my uncle and he’s transmitting me his passion of snowmobiling. And this angry pirate climb is freakin epic…
wow...totally amazing video...thoses machines are incredible now....but the balls it takes to make them work at 100 % capacity is even more amazing. congrats Matt, Dawson et the crew. mainjet images are incredibles. lots of body english required. was was Dawson track speed vs the Doo ? have you tried straight drag racing to see where's the main difference ? clutching, HP, Torque, track, engine revs ?
Always a pleasure to see you and Dawson getting out for a good rip, and today (once again), you did not disappoint. You seem to bring out the best in each other. Nice pulls across the board.
I am surprised that u dont have 100k+ subs already 😅 I love ur channel and ur videos😊 Handsdown the best sled channel/content on youtube 🙏 Love from Sweden
Sick ripping man ..that sled seems to pull so hard even up hill ..had me worried with all that ski lift at the top .. you rode them out nicely... braappppp
My 154 turbo expert already took me way too many places in that snow last week. Unreal how tracked out the bowls were after one weekend was like a hard pack trail everywhere
I'm so glad you got this sled, it totally is cheat codes but damn the place you have unlocked. Love this type of content. Another Great video getting even closer to 100k!
The best part of this video is how calm you are pulling chutes like that. Great references to Felix and Dan. The 165 Doo turbo completely changed the game.
Never been there, but I recognize so many of those chutes from my library of snowmobile videos. Isn't it something, how good the new sleds are! We thought those turbo mod Yamaha's couldn't be beat just a few yrs ago.... now, stock sleds are pulling the same terrain without breaking a sweat.
Hey me and my dad are up in muskoka right now we were wondering if you want to go for a ride sometime this week I’m 13 and started riding this Christmas.
Go watch the conditions Laird and the boys used to climb these chutes in, way sporty to say the least! I miss my old 300HP viper every now and then but not super often. www.youtube.com/@rmklaird/videos
Great work boys! Sounds like you should have been climbing these a week ago if you wanted more of a challenge! Congratulations you’ve levelled up, next on your list is Irmans Arm and Gibs Gash. In all seriousness, these new sleds work very good. They’re definitely up there, even with the newer “mod” sleds.
I pull 105k out of the badlands in ND and I use the splitter in the low side a lot. Smoother than trying to grab a whole gear. I might only be 30 years old but I can run a 5&4.
You guys make it look so easy and on camera they don't look to scary. In real life tho I can't even imagine. I'm a flatlander and when I go up a 6 foot drift I think I'm top dog lol
Nice riding dudes i always wanted to try a big shute But getting to old now n the cost thing .but love watching vids .that new doo is sick Man looks like it just pulls an pulls
I know it’s like asking a fishing spot, but what is the name of the parking area and that mountain top cabin? I’d like to ride Revelstoke someday and don’t have super capable mountain sleds, the trail system there looks maintained pretty well.
do you have a video or a setup of your entire car (transport setup) that you use :D would love to check it our and get some tips since im looking for a new car that is gonna be used for me personaly as a hunting/snowmobile car : )
Seeing the new sleds blast up chutes that mod sleds struggled on not long ago makes up for the reliability struggles this year. No mod sled would be more reliable than these sleds have been!
Sleds are so much different (HP and track length) now, than 40+ years ago when 'high-marking' was dependent on being really good at 'traversing' back and forth to get as high as possible...and then being able to ride back down (often the scariest part). For a few years in the late 70's, not many in Alaska could hang with my converted 1976 Ski-Doo TNT RV free-air (dropped in a 500cc fan cooled, w/16.5 inch track)...when it came to high-marking. With the belly pan configuration of the RV, it literally floated over the snow. Then higher HP sleds and IFS, opened up entirely new limits. 😎 P.S. Those chutes are amazing and obviously, wouldn't have even been tried 'back in the day' because there is no room to traverse should momentum get stalled. Those long tracks are also hard to change direction, so I'm not sure how successful traversing would be even on a broad slope. The best technique was to almost reach stalling, then turn the sled downhill quickly, build up speed going slightly downhill/sidehill (extreme leaning/body english needed), then start climbing again, repeating as many times as you had the strength...while leaving sideways figure 8's/infinity sign tracks on the hill. Of course, I was a 20-something railroader then, not an old retired guy like now. LOL
That was awesome can't one day I'll be ripping up der been watching for awhile now wanna try a mountain never been up one jus a bunch of field an trails on the rez
You need to travel the US next winter. I would have happily climbed all those chutes with you. Pirates cove looks sick. I wonder if there's enough snow in it to climb it.
We are so spoiled these days with both of these turbo platforms. I've looked at all of these chutes over the years and NEVER said "someday". The sleds make it too easy haha
So modest. Hell of a guy.
He is a beast in the mountains!
@Muskoka Freerider lots of those sleds out there are NOT doing what you're doing. Keep it up!
Thanks guys 🙌
I had thunderstruck vibes throughout this video....I love it🤣
It was the videos of climbing chutes around Revelstoke that made me amazed by snowmobiles 15ish years ago. Truly mind blowing that stock sleds are that capable now.
Remember watching the same ones! Stock sleds do it even better now 🙌
Unreal
Love seeing chute content again! Used to love watching Laird McDougall, Shane Render and the creekwerx guys climbing content. So happy to see it again!!
Great vidio, you guys did some awesome climbing.
I'm just an old Flat lander trail rider. Love your videos, the shit you and your buds do is crazy. If I was 20 years younger I would love to try and ride like you all do. Keep on Braaaaping
Getting fancy Matt!! That transition at 9:16 was slick!!
Stoked to see you notice! I get hyped when I have a transition that turns out like that
That was awesome to watch!! I watched Mainjets yesterday and yours had a totally difference vibe than his. Same content, just shows your story telling is a lot more polished. Great job.
Thanks! We ended up with a lot of the same shots but everyone has their own perspective and own way of telling the story
You guys made it look so easy. I know it's not easy for sure. Snow conditions make all the difference. Awesome work keep the videos coming like them every day
The current snow conditions do make it a lot easier. Thanks will do!

Laird's sleds sound so crazy. Would love to hear them in person
🙌🏼 glad you had fun Jeff! Happy we were able to help with the Candaid build that evening too!!
Matt is in love with his 165 ❤❤❤, looks like all you need is this sled & a 146 for next year...
That’s most likely the play for next year
I love that it was an old rev up the angry pirate .The snowmobile that changed it all.💪
Absolutely love watching you ride these chutes am happy to watch you play
I’m sitting here on my couch, hearts just pumping, full adrenaline rush like I was the one doing it. Kick ass videos man.
Great job Matt!
Those chutes are a bucket list must do for all hard core sledders!
Love coming waking up to see you posted a new video keep up the great work
Awesome Matt. No need to apologize or make excuses. You guys can rip...plane and simple 👍🏻👌🏻
Almost 100k subs man!! Your videos have honestly helped me to become a better rider, watching your body position, throttle and lines help so much. Awsome, love the chute day!! Need more of them. Keep up the great vids🤘🏻
I’d like to find some bigger ones. There’s one called the super chute around here. A couple minute pull wide open
I’ve watched all your videos this year, love them! One question what software do you use to edit your videos. Seems like you are able to get them done fairly quick. It’s nice having content to watch every day. Thanks Matt
Actually probably spent 10 hours editing this video lol
There was a lot of footage to sort through. I use Final Cut though
Thanks Matt love your content,
I am a potato farmer down here in Idaho and I spend most of my winters sledding as well. I am on the 22 free ride turbo 165 so it was good to see some footage of the GEN five, 165 turbo
Keep up the good work
i miss that little town! passed through here in 2014 on my solo bicycle trip across canada. beautiful place.
Just Awesome!❤
These chutes are insane. I sat and watched Rob Alford go up one at the Airport….
Only special riders can do this type of shitz!!!
Man jeez a just saw this video and then I realized thas felix was mentionned in this video, he’s my uncle and he’s transmitting me his passion of snowmobiling. And this angry pirate climb is freakin epic…
Might have to watch this one again Matt....cuz daaaymmn! 🤯
22:14 "holy shit" 😂 I spit my coffee out. So sick dude 🤙
Excellent drone work you guys. It helps set your videos apart from all the others.
The editing today was unbelievable!!!
wow...totally amazing video...thoses machines are incredible now....but the balls it takes to make them work at 100 % capacity is even more amazing. congrats Matt, Dawson et the crew. mainjet images are incredibles. lots of body english required. was was Dawson track speed vs the Doo ? have you tried straight drag racing to see where's the main difference ? clutching, HP, Torque, track, engine revs ?
good to see you made it to town, we have some epic riding all around, would be worth a few more videos if you spend some time around here.
Nice riding, I wish we had sleds like that back in the day. Makes me smile.
Even the drone is having a blast of its own!
Always a pleasure to see you and Dawson getting out for a good rip, and today (once again), you did not disappoint. You seem to bring out the best in each other. Nice pulls across the board.
By far the most exciting video yet. i love that 165 turbo and all the places it can go. such a sick video
You guys made that look easy 😅 I remember watching Yama fest mod sleds struggle climbing that and old mountain mod mania sleds struggling 🤯
165 turbo sure is alot, makes them chutes look easy. Total animal !
You two are freakin insane made those chutes look like a everyday thing.
I was yelllling with you boys when you were sending it over the top of those chutes🤘🤘 So awesome nice job guys!!
Awesome video. I want to see you guys climb Pirates Cove! Thats crazy riding! Love it!!!
Not sure what’s more rad the skill it takes to rip up the shoot or the drone skills back down that’s a super cool perspective
OUTSTANDING VIDEO, FUN TO WATCH, CLEAN LANGUAGE SO MY GRANDKIDS CAN WATCH
WAY ABOVE MY PHYSICAL AND SKILL LEVEL
We really enjoy watching the videos you produce Matt !!! Very cool !!!!
Great job boys! Was no doubt in my mind you fellas would pull em like that. Nice switch up 🇨🇦🔥
Something different for us for sure!
I love your videos matt! Been subscribed since the beginning keep it up!!
Man, those factory turbo 165/175 sleds are true "Point and Chute"!
Lol the old 1970 motoski zephyr WFO!!! straight up,,,,gas cap flying off getting covered in mixed gas yeah...the only way to do a chute....
Such good videos ! Been to busy at work to get away like I’d like this season has sucked !
You know with that kind of hair flow. The guy is going to be rowdy 😂
That clip of that old summit is wicked cool!
I love your drone footage matt!
Nothing to it but to do it! What what a wild day. Keep it up Matt.
I was surprised to hear Dawson let off so much on the corner of the 90, you stayed in it a little more. It was evident in the side by side as well.
You guys picked the perfect day for these shenanigans! That was rad guys🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
awesome content again great chute shots your like the Warren Miller of the snowmobile world keep it coming
God damn the old REV did the Angry Pirate haha.
Crazy eh haha didn’t even look possible when I looked at it 😂
For the last 10 minutes my breath was like under the water..omg ..so so intense 🙈 beautiful footage ,thanks to sharing with us Matt🤘
I am surprised that u dont have 100k+ subs already 😅 I love ur channel and ur videos😊 Handsdown the best sled channel/content on youtube 🙏 Love from Sweden
Sick ripping man ..that sled seems to pull so hard even up hill ..had me worried with all that ski lift at the top .. you rode them out nicely... braappppp
Sick climbing Matt !!
My 154 turbo expert already took me way too many places in that snow last week. Unreal how tracked out the bowls were after one weekend was like a hard pack trail everywhere
165 turbo.. straight beast mode💪💪
Awesome content..... Love the shut climbing.... Keep em coming....
I'm so glad you got this sled, it totally is cheat codes but damn the place you have unlocked. Love this type of content. Another Great video getting even closer to 100k!
Belt blowing video boss!! The best yet!!!
The best part of this video is how calm you are pulling chutes like that. Great references to Felix and Dan. The 165 Doo turbo completely changed the game.
I think it is more the rider than the sled. I think if they traded sleds the results would be the same rider getting the quickest times.

I’ve watched many times! Yeah I don’t know how I’d feel about trying to muscle a big high hp four stroke up those chutes haha
Hey Matt ,hope you trying different Clutches. I think you are a Killer on the 165 shed and it needs to be a Part of you Now.
The 165 really shows how good you are on a sled. Love it 🤟
I pull 105k out of the badlands in ND and I use the splitter in the low side a lot. Smoother than trying to grab a whole gear. I might only be 30 years old but I can run a 5&4.

Was there in 05, wasn’t willing to risk my 03 vertical escape159. One buddy with a turbo made it up easy.
I was watching this in that Main Media channel the drone footage was amazing and it was cool to see more outside footage of Matt 👍👍
Great video. Those chutes can be the doom of a lot of sleds in different conditions
Thanks. Sure can be!
@@MuskokaFreerider is the skidoo really that much faster than the boost ?
@@Tuchodi8004 the comparison at 24:40 is probably the fairest comparison
@@MuskokaFreerider I’ve watched that a few times ….. that’s a lot of time between them. All the brands are awesome now but 3 seconds ?!??!!!
It’s basically like….. “here ?(skidoo holds out Polaris’s ass ) take it”. Lol
Looks so damn good guys! Well done!
11/10 video Matt!🤘🤘🤘
Nice riding dudes i always wanted to try a big shute
But getting to old now n the cost thing .but love watching vids .that new doo is sick
Man looks like it just pulls an pulls
Looks like another world with those tree tips looking like snow colloms
The Doo just Spanks every time !

Hell yeah!!
I was into this fun sport when I was young today I bought 850 pro Polaris rmk it's a 2023 is it a good I rode polaris back in the day
I remember the old sled neck video's with all the mod sleds and here we are now stock sleds can do it way better! crazy times
That 165 skidoo pulls so much harder than the polaris.
Awesome video!! 👍👏👏

Awesome video, you guys killed it
That was sick video my man that gen 5 is a beast
Even the drone doesnt show how steep monster is you got to be there .They had perfect snow put 2 to 3 feet of fresh and watch the fun
Yes yes yes that sled is awsome
So is the reason for scratches to bring up the snow to keep the tunnel cool less chance of over heating?
Exactly
Yes used in hard park trails with limited powder.
