Never drove in Tolworth before but when my instructor found the slot for Tolworth, I came to youtube to watch this video and I watched it about 20 times. It was a huge accomplishment for me as I'm 40 and thought maybe it was too late, but I did it! There were two things I learned from your videos. 1) Positive mindset: your energy has a huge impact on your driving, and 2) Talk to yourself while driving: just like you do in your videos, vocalizing what I was seeing, thinking or steps to take helped me focused better and the examiner found it very entertaining 😂

I had my test in Tolworth yesterday!! Passed on first attempt. I have watched your Video many times and it was very helpful. But test route was different!!
I got my 1st exam in a month and Tolworth was the only driving test i was able to get. I'm from Newham so I'm on the other side of London from Tolworth, but this is way easier than Wanstead, the roundabouts are light-work as well as the route from what I can see compared to my local 4 lane roundabout 😂
My driving test is at Tolworth in around 2 weeks time.I'm mainly confident with most aspects of driving. But i have still some areas for improvement: 1) planning ahead in some circumstances where you need good and early observations. Good examples include 9:06 and 18:25. I'm pretty sure these moments are what most likely to lead me to failing a test but im working on this as its my biggest weakness 2) correct lane positioning - again related to road planning sometimes i get confused which lane to be in approaching a roundabout if the road markings aren't clear or i have a tendency to be in the wrong lane approaching a 2nd or 3rd exit and cutting across another road user I think no.1 is related to a lack of road experience at times especially if im driving somewhere im not familiar with Ofc there are other general areas i need to brush up on like reverse bay/parallel parking (more the process rather than the driving ability), consistent mirror checking, correct signalling at the right times, observing pedestrians who are about to cross a road and preparing to stop but ive shown to be able to do these things well but not ALL of the time. I'm naturally quite a cautious and patient driver who wont take any risks which ive got going for myself. I think the only that scares me when driving is when trying to filter in with the traffic when joining a dual carriageway - especially if its busy, everything else im fine with. The advice about test drivers rushing or dwelling on a potential mistake were great things to point out. I will definitely make sure I don't do this myself in the test

@@DrivingSchoolTV Yes, it was at Tolworth, I don't know the exact location but there was a petrol station at the traffic lights in the opposite side of our way, I saw the sign to turn right where the examiner told me to follow. the road was dual carriageway and I think due to the petrol station there was no curb in the middle of dual carriageway, suddenly a car went out from the petrol station and joined our carriageway by cutting in me. Hey Yasmeen! 4 in 5 tests get a satnav, the other 1 gets road signs, so you need to be good at both and you can't ask for a satnav because it's your preference. 0:17 forget driving lessons; looks like someone needs lessons on how to cross the road lol 10:30 opposite a junction is also a no-no when pulling up right?
19.20 my instructor said that the lines under the bridge are for the lorries and trucks. That you don’t have wait if a car is coming towards you. I’m confused now if a car comes do I wait at the bridge or continue ?
Good question! What I should have explained better. The road markings do indicate that it's only wide enough for one vehicle but with two small cars passing either way they can fit through. Analyse how much of the road the car coming towards you is taking up. If it's a wide van/truck/lorry then you'd need to consider a hold back. If you've got a Fiat 500 coming towards you then carry on for sure

Thank you I have mine in tolworth in may 2021 👍
🙌🙌 Good luck!!! Make sure you let us know how you get on 🤞🤞
@@DrivingSchoolTV thanks! I live in north London so won’t be too familiar , only thing that scares me is that hook roundabout
Will you have time to practice in the area?
Follow us on insta tds.tv and dm us, we arent taking on new students right now because of covid but we will see what we can do 😁
0:17 forget driving lessons; looks like someone needs lessons on how to cross the road lol
10:30 opposite a junction is also a no-no when pulling up right?
do u do mock tests at tolworth?
Yep!!! Tolworth mock test coming on Monday!! 😊
@@DrivingSchoolTV thank you. I will remember that if I get this route on my test.
do you give driving lessons? what is your school name is?
check us out @tds.tv on instagram!

When you entered the road at 25:29 you was in third gear. Isn’t this road a 20 mph road?
You can still be in third gear and do 20mph
