I'm doing another senior shoot today (trust me I never set out to do portraits): and this has been absolute gold for me. I truly appreciate the practical step-by-step. Oh I absolutely hit the subscribe button.
I am more of a landscape photographer but was asked to take senior photos for the daughter of a good friend. The tips given in your video were invaluable. Thank you. (It didn't hurt that the subject knew me and was very comfortable working with me.)
Omg I am so happy I found you on You Tube!!! I have paid hundreds of dollars on photography classes and have learned even more from you two!! Thanks for sharing your knowledge with the world!!
Thanks for the great tips! I'm a hobbyist photographer so my daughter thinks I can take her senior photos 😂. These ideas will help me greatly so I don't fail my daughter. Thank goodness for digital photography - I grew up on film...
This past weekend..I did the elbow grab, the tightrope walk , the straight arm grab,..the sitting elbow on the knee…the wall lean..and the name call turnaround . Well I did almost all of them. I’ve been doing seniors for almost 10 years and I was freezing up! They all worked great and my senior felt really great about her session. Thanks!
I absolutely love and appreciate how practical your videos are. It's also nice to see how efficient a shoot can be when you go in with an arsenal of poses...I am very much still learning and your videos are a huge help. If I had to choose, the first pose with the stool was my favorite, but all of your posing ideas are great.
This is seriously the best video on posing senior girls, it's so basic and easy to implement! I'm thrilled I found your channel, and I love your Senior Planning Sheet!!! Thank you!!!
I had my first senior girl session last night and I wish I would've watched this before....I might have to ask her to meet up again....ha ha you guys are the best!
Thank you so much for this!!! Prompting and posing is always a struggle for me. This was explained well and they all seem easy. I will def be trying all of these!!
I love this and will be following you ladies... I live in Washington State but was born and raised in Wisconsin, so when I heard you gals talking, I thought that sure sounds Wisconsin. Thanks for the tips, it's always nice to get more ideas to help loosen clients up.
I'm a complete amateur, but I've taken my goddaughter's photos ever since she was little and would only make grimace faces at most other people. She asked me to do her senior photos and I'm so honored! I did her sister's senior photos, too, but while I typically just wing poses with both of them to see what looks good, it's nice to have some go-to poses. I have a favorite park I shoot in with a beautiful set of small stone stairs that I don't ever feel like I do justice to, so I'm definitely trying the stair poses. Thanks so much for the information! ❤
I never thought of doing the knees together on the stairs!! And I love the idea of instead of just a casual walk have them to walk as if they are on a tightrope!!!!
I LOVE this video and I am SO GLAD that I found you gals! You rock with your helpful guides and videos. I usually do the wall, but never think to have them throw at arm up over their head in the moment. Also, sitting down, I usually do the one with the leg under, but never think about the crisscross applesauce! Thank you ladies!
These were all soooo helpful! I'm fairly new to photography and have started receiving several senior photo requests and this was perfect to get my mind into it. Thank you!!!
Love love love it! Thank you. I especially liked the one where the girl is walking towards camera very slowly one foot at a time (slowly) and then grabbing the jacket or dress and creating movement and natural angles. All of the poses were great. Often as a photographer we are obsessed with (and for good reason) the technical things that we forget to focus more on composition and posing. This was straightforward and amazing at the same time. I have a photo shoot tomorrow with a young girl who just graduating middle school. These will be a nice addition to my collection. Thanks again!
This video is so helpful! I love how you model the poses and also show examples from your work! I'm doing a friend's portraits and this was the perfect crash course for me!! Thank you!
I really like the knocked knees. When I’m posing my daughter she like to sit spread Eagle most times so I tell her to squeeze her knees together. But I like how the feet are spread while the knees are together too. Definitely going to do that with a senior shoot that I’m doing today. Thanks…these are great tips. And I love the holding the elbows one.
I’ve always loved photography and my awesome boyfriend bought me my first camera for Christmas (I cried a little lol) anyways I’ve been taking so many notes from your guys videos and I’ve been learning so much. I appreciate all the videos you guys put out ❤️❤️
Great posing ideas. In Alaska I do a lot of beach, senior photos. But with the sun light being pretty much all day in Alaska what would you suggest? Because there’s no or filtered light on the beach. It’s just wide open space. Thank you.
I don't see where the download is utube!! I love all the poses. I don't think I won't be so frozen. Think feet, arms and hands. Staying in the same place and move the head. Walking I like to. Girls in dresses is what I usually have to shoot!!
I think I’ll be trying the walk pose. I never thought of having them walk over each foot. That would look more candid and not so stiff and awkward

Thank you very much for your ideas. Very well explained on a simply but effective way.

Loved all of them. It was extremely helpful to hear about the hand placements and foot placements in the different poses.
This is GOLD! I'm taking pictures of my friend's 13-year old daughter today at her request, and these poses will be perfect. Thank you so much!
Thank you so very much....needed this. All the poses were my favorite

As a new photographer I love your videos. You are helping me to see it doesn't have to be complicated to do a shoot.
Yay!!
Loving your videos, they are giving me lots of pointers to try. Do you have an suggests/tips for someone setting up a website with shoot proof?
Thanks so much!! We use shootproof only for delivery images to our clients. For our website host we use ShowIt.
@@esquared.photography Thank you for the advice will look at making a second website for it
When you mention about having your model walking toward you, what setting should you use for the shutter speed to get tack sharp photos?
1/250 or higher
The stairs I love because the client I am working with wants to do a stair photoshoot for senior photos.
