You’re my favorite softball creator!! You’re always so informational and helpful! I play 12u and I’ve been watching your videos and I’ve been getting better every day using your tips and other advice! Thank you! ❤
When someone has 76k subscribers they must be doing something right. I recently found this channel and have gotten so much value from these videos! Thank you for your videos 😊!
You should brace against the front side when throwing that’s is what gives you velo on the ball none of the running helps if it’s not transferred up the kinetic chain
I always followed through with throwing, as a pitcher and right fielder, for such a little guy i am, i had a dam good cannon, was able to record a bunch of 9 to 3 put outs, wish they kept records, id like to see how many ks i got in six losing seasons with my poor defenseless team i played on.
Thank you! I play 12u travel softball and I use your advice to help me get better at it. I play second base and I have trouble doing a light underhand toss to shortstop due to my Dyspraxia. Can you please post a video on that? You are an amazing person and you know your stuff.
@@MegRemSoftball No problem, would you mind posting a video on how to do a light underhand toss to shortstop when you have a chance? I struggle on knowing when to do it due to my dyspraxia and bad working memory. Thank you for reading my comment! Highlight? I love your advice on everything and you are so reliable with softball. I would give you a 100 dollar tip if I could!
I really don’t see the reason to keep taking steps forward when 1. The arms already gone through deceleration and 2. If we’re looking to gun someone out then we’d want to maximize velocity, we’d need a strong front hip to stabilize the pelvis and let the torso accelerate so on and so forth. So anything after should just be a byproduct. Just looking at elite thrower doing a pull-down or long toss from the outfield they pretty much almost do an aerial because of how stabile their pelvis is and how much momentum they have. Now if it’s just a casual throw then of course idgaf about velo sure can just completely not care about blocking with the front hip, but both of those scenarios we shouldn’t really have to think about for most athletes. Should be almost a natural thing we do based off of the intent we have on the play
This is exactly why men easily generate more power and accuracy even with the same muscle mass…. Instruction… That glove should fold in and pushing off your back leg generates the power, not windmilling your body… the fact the ball was thrown about 100ft and had an arc on it, is a problem
Who in the world would throw from the outfield flat footed and stop their motion?! Answer. No one ever. We’ve been “crow hopping” and following through long before RUclips! Too funny. The world has become one big Captain Obvious. Everyone has the answer. Look at me! Look at me!
Thank you for the outfield content!!!
As a left and right outfielder this is a very helpful tip for me because I wouldn’t get my ball very far because of the way I throw, thanks again. 💖

It’s not natural for younger kids which I see first hand.

It gives you more power in your throw, and lots of professional softball players are taught to throw like this.
